Damn these guys are good. I'm not sure but, I think the second part represented being apart for some time and thinking back on the relationship and over time you remember less and less even though maybe their was a lot of pain for a while. The effect when applied to her face made me think of how after enough time and moving on, it's kind of hard to remember someone's face that you haven't seen in such a long time...especially if someone else has now filled that person's previous role in your life. It's like actually moving on.
