Such a powerful piece of music. Really a prime example how metal isn't just noise as lots of non-metal listeners chalk it up to. Would love to see you check out Eye of God from ERRA!! Also Cloud Cascade from Invent Animate is hands down my favorite track from them, also a great listen!!
I just saw a comment a little bit ago that I think described Invent Animate pretty well, they're very good at painting a sort of "hopeful despair" vibe into their music. I fairly recently started getting into Invent Animate as well. Halcyon was the first one I heard through a Spotify playlist. That wasn't long before The Sun Sleeps dropped and man, I really need to listen to all 3 tracks put together in The Sun Sleeps, As If It Never Was. It's such a beautiful listen. They just released a new song, Shade Astray, that's very well worth a listen too. Dark and Cloud Cascade are both fantastic songs from their previous discography as well. Another related band I would recommend is Silent Planet. Garrett Russell is one of the most genuine, kindest people i've seen in the metal scene. Their most recent album, Iridescent, has alot of subject matter based on his own mental health struggles. My favorite off that album is Panopticon, based on society's technology addiction. A very close second is The Sound of Sleep, about living with depression and keeping up the facade to others that everything is fine.
these are very emotional songs, i absolutely love this, even though it makes me cry, i have loved invent animate for years now and their new stuff is definitely different from older stuff, both are amazing! but i loved that you appreciated the music, and this is the first time i have seen your channel so im not sure if you do metal music much, but a lot of people assume that the music is angry instead of really listening and hearing the despair within the songs, but you did amazing so i subscribed :) i also do reactions so i really love when i come across channels with genuine people! i would love if you would check this out: erra - skyline i am seeing erra with invent animate this week :) very similar bands, always have beautiful lyrics

"His voice was so good it made me sad." - out of context that sounds silly. But also - same. I hope you check out Shade Astray by them as well. :)
Voice so good it made you feel sad. Interesting.
Lovely reaction!
Hey thanks for doing this one! Glad you enjoyed.
