That 1200tq is going to bend those rods. I'd detourqe the tune to 1000tq and that will clean up a bit of that smoke. You will be running a 480 on the ragged edge to make 1000hp. I'd be doing a 483 at least, but a 485 would be way better.

Sounds pretty good for what’s done with it. I’d look into a tap shift shifter and see if they can be added in.
Yes you can do a tap shifter, but its not needed and doesn't work that good. Just need a dyno Trans tune.

Very nice! Can't wait til I can start digging into my lmm, my goal is 650rwhp, on stock size wheels of course and not the 37's that's on it. But I figured rds 64mm turbo, 40 over injectors and retune the ecm and we should make it. Would love to have the trans and transfer case rebuilt by Kodiak as well, Already did the dodge rear unit swap. It's my dd, really just like to hang with the L5P lol. Already have the lift pump, cold air intake and 4 or 5 in exhaust, can't remember which one. Your channel has sure helped me with everything I've done to my truck, I sure appreciate the content, keep it up.

Really looking into buying a new duramax. Hardcore chevy owner but never had a duramax. Watched your videos and don’t know which one I want. Lbz is expensive and hard to find(preferred) but looking at lmm too. Any suggestions?
Need a tcm tune for the dyno. Won't let the truck shift out of direct drive during a pull.

Which headlights are those ?
Pushing that engine any further will just tear it up unless that’s what you want to do. Building the bottom end before it blows will save you lots of clean up on all those parts

I thought when you build a duramax lbz or LMM past 800hp the crank can’t handle it and the motor becomes a ticking time bomb. I don’t see that you have done internal rebuilds on the motor but I can’t imagine it handling 1,000hp with stock internals.

485 Over the 68, and not to sure on the accuracy of that dyno. It’s probably close but 750/1450 is a little bit of a stretch on the stock rods. 1450 would kick those things right out the side of the block real quick on a 68, id be more inclined to see a realistic 650/1200 ish
I’m sure the engine parts are living on borrowed time but the numbers are accurate, my buddy ran his Lb7 with the same mods on Ryan’s DYNO and the numbers were very close to Wifemax.
@@TruckMaster don't think it's junk cause it's old, with the proper tune anything is possible, most engines blow up cause you build huge power and get it all wound up and it stops pushing the bottom end so it free floats and high RPM's and goes boom, get a good tune and proper parts combination, guys are pulling 1000hp on bone stock 6.0L Chevy gas trucks with injector swap and a single turbo, anything is possible
I have a homie running 1173hp on a stock bottom end LB7 and he beats the hell out of it

Why do so many people say. Don’t put your built Dailey driver truck on a dyno unless you want to risk blowing it up and or destroying it. It’s pointless. Cause you’re likely just going to pay a dyno fee to break your truck. What’s up with that ? I want to dyno mine but some people got me nervous about it
If it’s not pushing more than 550 I wouldn’t worry about it

All that black smoke (soot) also ends up in your oil which is the #1 damage to bearings via oil - even with the best filter.
At 1200tq he will blow it up way before the bearings go.

Amsoil bypass filter will get a lot of the soot out. Regular oil filter wont catch any soot. Too small of micron for that
