@@srljedi6790 Haha, so funny and original, but actually watching the video:
End of work at 4-5 AM (30 min to get to home after), go to sleep at 6-7 AM, wake up at 12 (so just 5-6 hours of sleep), go to work at 2.
      Administrative work, getting a haircut/styling.
Drink before customers arrive, non stop entertaining them throughout the night with god knows how many drinks. And having to do that daily. Blimey!
(oh and she is still teaching too, start of the video mentions eating leftovers from her cooking class)
Is she overworked? Yes, unless you think that her workload is not.
Is she single? Yes, mentioned in the video.
Is she an alcoholic? The National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism would say yes.
Is she strong and cool? Yes, but glorifying such a lifestyle is just wrong.
Hence why it’s a “sad” rather than “prime” example

First a nutritionist, then cooking sensei, then business owner in the food business, one of the toughest industries to be successful and one where you certainly fail if you don’t work hard. You can see how successful she is when most of her restaurant employees are actually her former students. Congratulations to her.

Also the location of this restaurant in dead center of Ginza means it’s one hell of a restaurant to be there! Kyoto dishes are lightly flavored compared and has such delicate taste so I can tell it’s no ordinary Izakaya. I came back to the U.S. after a week in Kyoto and I realized how much sodium is used and how vibrant American food is since my palate got so used to the delicate flavors of Kyoto. I couldn’t use ketchup or salsa at first since it was way too strong of a flavor.

Something I really find cool about Japanese culture (well, what I've learned watching Paolo's videos 😅) is that small business owners are always committed to customer service, they are very kind and so respectful, which is very different from my culture (I'm from Latin America, specifically I live in Colombia) where small business owners (not all of them, but a great amount of them) are quite rude to customers and very lazy, like they don't care about their businesses, they are just worried for their wallets and bad paying to their employees. Great videos Paolo, always waiting for more content

I can see why she’s doing so well. Great food, excellent service, steady group of regular customers. This would be any local’s dream restuarant to have close by.

Keep up the great work.

I was enamored with her tranquility of her work ethic. She makes it look so smooth and elegant, while zooming around to her customers and managing everything. Its like watching a ballet, or listening to a symphony. A social butterfly would be the correct term. Yuka has definitely earned her restaurant and it shows in her work ethic and it shows how proud she is I cannot help but sincerely appreciate what she does daily.
Paolo, this segment was on top my friend. I hope you do a future episode for an update on Yuka in the future.

I have experience working in hospitality for 10 years and I will say from experience, finding such places is rarae and once you do. They are a real gem of a place. Man, I remember such a place. I couldn't stop working there. The energy there was magical! Augh...this brings back memories. 🥲
Also, this place looks like a very chill place for the Japanese to open up. Rarely I get to see them be this 'wild'. Huh...interesting.

The restaurant reminds me of tapas restaurants from Spain. Like here, they serve multiple small dishes and are paired with alcohol, usually sangria. If I'm ever in Japan again, I'd love to go to one of these restaurants. Last time I went, I was too young to drink 😆.
