Look for an 11 minute 48 second video of him talking to Mark Bell. Go to around 6 minutes 30 seconds and watch from there. He does show it there, and it is important.
@@rowanmurphy5239 i can't figure this out. When I lunge back with my back foot flat like he tells the boy to do it hurts my back.. Only when my back heel is off the ground does it feel ok... And when he walks forward ; we can't see but I can only assume this guy is no longer flat footed on the back foot
Hand would be in dorsiflexion, or palm facing up and back behind you. Should feel a stretch in the forearm that pulls from the hip of the same side. It's due to the fascia and neural connection that he said, so pushing the hand up like you're "raising the roof" and leaning a bit to the side will open the fascia and nerve.
My guess is the upper portion of the psoas originates with the diaphragm along the lumbar spine? Maybe forcefully flexing/firing/exhaling the diaphragm pulls on the psoas in the same but different way the hand pulls on the psoas..?
I wish McGill's mic was louder. He's the expert here.
Exercising my psoas this way is the reason I live alone.
I had heard of PNF stretching but not DMX stretching
This is the beginners technique, when you master the exercise you go wuff, wuff, wuff, wuff, wuff, wuff,

Intra abdominal pressure I guess.
Because it’s embarrassing lmao

The issue is that you upload videos but don't let us download them
Isn't this the guy who got whacked in The Departed for calling the Indian shop owner Sing? Also known as a wise guy in other walks of life?
I occasionally meow to avoid the biological law of accommodation
When he walks forward isn't his back heel up?..
Your confusing me on technique.
