RIGHT!!! I wish they would just be forthright in their descriptions and all... it's very frustrating. I have since this video decided to try to sell this backpack and I have it listed WITH UP CLOSE PICTURES and IN THE DESCRIPTION - cause its just not right when people don't.
Its ok! I tried it and know its not for me. Rough & Tumble has me spoiled with having multiple ways I can wear most of their bags!
ALSO- really good to know that this can happen when stored incorrectly! Definitely didnt mess with the functionality of the bag so thats good!

I got a twin carry in rodeo brown in the BST groups and when I got it, it had a strong chemical smell NOT mentioned by the seller. I put it in a bag full of charcoal bags and let it sit for a month. The smell is WAAAAYYYYY lessened and almost gone.
BUT I saw someone else selling the same thing so I messaged her to ask if hers had a chemical amell and she said no it didn't. So sometimes the same leathers can be very different - OR her nose didnt pick up on it. Its so hard to tell people solid yes/no's bc of experiences like this - BUT Im SOOOOOO glad it worked out for you!

I agree with you about using the LongChamp backpack. I couldn’t wear it for more than 2 days. It’s a cute bag but it’s going into storage
I’ve got it up for sale now on Mercari and Poshmark after going back and forth I realized I did not enjoy carrying it that much so it was time to say goodbye!
I have had a couple of bags that had very strongly scented leathers, both made in the USA and both in the Saddle category. I've been airing them outside- every day for well over a month,( brought them inside before rain and brought in every night )and STILL the scents remained. I have two bags from another company and same strong chemical/ leather scents. Both have a chemical scent to their leathers, even the Horween and Bison! Your gathering ,research and relaying information of : leather, bag sizes and weight measurements really helps, Carolen!!! The new to me bag I got is an extra small- approx 10x 10 x 5. The Pure Saddle leather in this, new to me bag is not heavily scented but the Pure Saddle leather in my Kirigami had a very,very, strong scent! Luck of the draw, I guess! For me, those strong chemical/ leather scents easily trigger a long lasting, rotten migraine. Carolen, thank you so much for your videos and quick responses to my questions,too!!😊🎉😊🎉😊
ugggh migraines are the worst! I wish the chemical smell was disclosed but I dont know how they would do that with each run of the hide- now on BST it SHOULD be disclosed and I need to remember to ask that! LOL

Hi I just wanted to suggest trying something to get the bubbles out of your new canvas backpack. If you iron it with towel laying over the bag to protect it I may warm up the adhesive and let it flatten out. I'd be careful not to let it get too hot but if you really like the bag and it really bothers you it might be worth trying that method.

I have it up for sale on mercari and poshmark now as I really didnt love it being backpack only mode - ive gotten spoiled with my 3 way carry bags by Rough & Tumble :-p
