- Still stuck with all four kids at home until at least 8 March, and watching to see what impact the rollout of vaccines will have, versus the arrival of new strains of COVID-19. Hopefully we're going to turn a corner soon. In the meantime, we opted to take the mickey out of a classic 80s power ballad. This is our parody version of Jim Steinman's 1983 "Total Eclipse of the Heart" most famously recorded by Bonnie Tyler, which had one of the weirdest music videos ever. It featured lots of disturbing children dancing around a Victorian Gothic hospital in Surrey, so kind of close to home for us...

I am a doctor on the frontline from Sydney Australia and in the hardest lockdown the country has seen since the beginning of the pandemic. This has brought us many laughs and relief at a time of such despair. Hilarious lyrics sung with such harmonious beautiful voices. What an amazing talented family you all are. Thank you!

This has to be one of my favourite Marsh Family clips. Keep it up family. Your legends - even here in far away Australia!
Funny the way my mind works. Thought of the eclipse tomorrow, then Bonnie Tyler's song Total Eclipse Of The Heart, then brought me back to 2021 when The Marsh Family hit it big with their lockdown version, Totally Fixed Where We Are. The kids are growing like weeds, they continue to release great music, video postcards from friends that I have never actually met. Tom still cracks me up with his impassioned delivery of the lyric "Just sitting in our dressing gowns and giving off farts". You can tell he really enjoyed singing that lyric. Love to ya all, from Colorado.

I'm just in awe !!! My hats off to you Mom and Dad ,for promoting this stellar creativity , and to you awesome siblings for not being " Too Cool" to be a part of this . You may be stuck at home but the education you are all getting here will serve you the rest of your lives. I know it is doing wonderful things for those fans watching . If I could ,I would give you a Million thumbs up and a recording contract!
I am back 6 Months later and just have to add this little comment. At the finale , when you all leaned in and sang "Lord of The Flies" the evil little grin on Thomas's face was picture perfect. I swear that kid has theater in his blood. Perfect Mugging.

Your performances, smiles, the vocal timing, the angst dancing, the intelligent observation of our situation coupled with the mundane reality and the joy and humour of it all. Wow. I’m blown away and could gush for hours. When you release you album it must be on DVD as seeing you is so much part of it. And when you tour I’d pay good money to see you. For some reason, this made me laugh in 2021, but I absolutely bawled revisiting it for an art project I'm working on about the lockdowns.

To make an effort to do something, you have to "get off your arse"! Hence "can't be arsed" means don't feel it worthwhile to make the effort of standing up and doing something.

I read with sadness that people post cruel comments to the family. How is that possible, with this much love and goofiness and generally making the world better through song? Don't get it. Don't care. I'm gonna bask in this lovely family and hum this song all day from my basement. (Where I now spend all my quarantine time, wedged between the washer and dryer, pretending I'm on a crowded airplane going somewhere.)
Sadly there is just some elements of cyber space that excist solely to post negative/cruel/derogetary remarks regardless of the content upon which they comment about. {Sad face} {Crying face}
