Thanks for sharing Johnny, totally surreal seeing into your guys past and witnessing how much you've changed and yet the passion for gaming and the clearly true and special friendship are unyielding aspects of your life. You should be happy and proud of this footage, it has a depth and weight beyond its content.
When I was 22 back in 1987 , a friend tagged along 7 or 8 of us wrestling buddies to a district championship and taped the whole day on 2 , almost full , 4 hour vhs cassettes. The smaller cassettes was not out yet , so the camera was a bit larger. He taped from morning assembly-car trip-arrival-weigh in-all matches-medal ceremony(for 2 of my friends)-trip home-party in club house and all the everyday goofing off and sillyness in between. For me , that's a day in my youth , forever saved , to watch whenever I want to timetravel , for a little while. Be very careful with your tapes Johnny. That's a real treasure , right there.
This is such a treasure man! So great to capture and have moments like this from the past. I'd love to see more!

Non of my friends are into playing games much anymore.. And even when they were they weren't RPG fans, we're only in our early 20's too.. And they're already boring themselves with little to no gaming entertainment, so glad I do.
Keep it up. I enjoy your channel because of your generally optimistic and upbeat love of video games. The whole "angry gamer" persona from UA-camrs who nitpick bullshit is tired.
FavianTube agreed! this channel is nothing but positive vibes and I love it. I had a very similar upbringing as johnny and we were into the same stuff back in the late 80's and early 90's. its like watching myself talk about my past when I watch his videos, he's such a cool guy too.

That's the reason why I'm being a fan of this channel since 2009! Jhonny and his friends are SO MUCH like me and my friends! I've passed my teenage years back in the day doing this kind of stuff! You and your friends are lucky indeed. Y'all still keep in touch and are part of each other's daily lives. I've lost touch with all the folks that I used to hang out with in my early and late 20s.
Man, seeing a video like this just takes me back with all of the memories I have with my best friend growing up and even until recently. Whenever we could, we would hang out together, get intoxicated, and just play games and mess around together sort of like this. Many great memories made. We tried to do it as much as possible before I moved from Canada to the Netherlands. We still try and Skype eachother whenever we get the chance and do the same thing over video chat, but the timezones and our busy lives make it difficult of course. I hope someday that we can get some time to be together in person and hang out like we always did.
By the way, I just turned 24 a few days ago, so now I am officially older than Rob man in this video. Wow.

I remember doing that too back in the day in the Netherlands,my uncle was the kinda guy who would always get early access shit too, we always had to make sure the cases looked great no matter where they came from. It's amazing seeing such old footage still way before it become a thing online.

Wow, I have that exact same Sony TV. Picked it up recently on CL for about $10. Great for old games. Also, making labels for copied games sure brings back memories. I used to rent PlayStation games, copy them, and make labels. These days I'm all about collecting the actual games, but back then, CD burning was a new thing, and owning a copy felt almost as good. Thanks for sharing!
