Its only taken me 21 years searching for this band, I'm not kidding 1 aonce. It's funny how some songs immediately catch you, those lyrics I never thought I'd see your face again. Fell in love at first sound. But I missed heard jools when he pronounced them. For years I've been searching for campact velapet, or the lyrics but finally I decided to search through every artist to appear on this show and saw the name. I can't believe I remember their name and lyrics slightly after all these years. They've influenced me and my music for 21 years without listening to them that whole time. Fucking hell, was they good, they remind me of some of my later music and pete wolf wolfman, little bit of Galliano in there too with the soft kinda hip hop style of singing in the first track. Then a markie Smith crossed with oasis and stone roses almost in the second song. Fucking love it.
I saw these in one of there very early shows in a grotty little pub in Camden around the mid 90's....was in the bar when they were doing there sound check and they were doing all PIL stuff !!! very good and I had great hopes for them back then !!! still, good to listen too....well done the campags !!
I think CV were the best example of this sorta thing (remind me of flowered up a bit) but love the music, imagery, style and graphics of this band. Pete looked brill as front man. Very London and although rated, probably should have been bigger. I’m slamming the albums this week and it’s 2022!
Everyone saying why didn't they make it - didn't they take 4 and a half years between the 1st and 2nd album?? That's nearly Stone Roses territory. It's career suicide with the way the music industry worked then. Especially for a band coming from the underground/ alternative scene that had to graft to build a profile and fanbase. Trends change every year, the music world waits for no one. An album every two years was the way to go.
Two brilliant albums from an awesome band. Victim of the hype machine.
Great Post, they were touted by the NME as the next big thing & it fucked them!!
A brilliant band lives upto the hype.
Probably more victims of Pete’s behavior 🤣
@@bucksheeelaborate? haha i love Voss!
@@fat80832 Let’s just say that he wasn’t a great drunk, awesome front man though.

Got yer bro, just found them after having the time in my head for 21 years. LOL
Commendable commitment brother 🙌
Amazing band that never reached the heights they truly deserved. Both albums are amazing. A deserved little legend it's become :)

Ian Cater had some great guitar sounds on BCBG, if any of the band have got more live stuff, they should put it up here, Drencrom????
Just hooked a vinyl copy of bcbg, best £45 quid spent in a while." My spokes are dope and I'll leave you in the ditch "
BCBG possibly the greatest album of all time!!
