I know where you’re coming from although Campag were fucking excellent. They were let down by a shitty drummer (sorry Lascelles Lascelle!), insipid production and insane hype. The actual album is a post-punk, krautrock indie masterpiece mired by god-awful sub-Ian-Brown’s-b-side-funky-Brit-pop-“vibes”. ‘Drencrom Velocet Sythemesc’ followed by ‘Skin So Soft’ is pretty much the apex of end of the century alternative music.
