Oh how sweet. I remember when I heard they'd split, I kinda went cold, like it was the end of an era...like the 90s were REALLY over you know? This is one of the FIRST songs I looked for on UA-cam, I can't explain how it makes me feel but I love it. :-) xx
I agree with this. Pacifism briefly prevails when the Indians take control from the British soldiers. The Indians represent the roots of the civil rights movement and nonviolent means of obtaining power. Notice how the sky darkens and things escalate quickly after they are no longer the group in control. Such a brilliant video.

A friend told me he thought I'd like this band and lent me this album, this first song came on and I was hooked by the first notes, like 5 seconds, lol. Aside from needing the actual talent to make albums like this, there is a separate art in knowing what songs to open with, which to close with etc, how to get the flow right, this album is a model to go by
I don't think there was a dry eye in the house. Iconic band that thankfully went under the main steam radar. I think that's why they were and are so special :)
i need help! does anyone know what song of the beta band's has the music video with the guy riding a tricycle in different costumes trying to impress a woman at the end of a hall? killing me i can't find it

You can't really rip off a movie for a music video. Plus the fact that the closest thing to the germans mowing anybody down with MG42's was probably the British 1800's Infantry Aiming their Rifles at the African Tribalmen or the WW2 Commonwealth Troops getting shelled. Yes it's not new to run down a beach but that's not all that's happening in this video. It's a display of Human Progression through the ages, the Flask Representing Life, This video is the circle of life.
This is excellent until the end. Circular, repeating themes are lazy and anti-climatic. I would've shot that stuff to space with astronauts, thus symbolising the 'human spirit' passing through civilisations and continuing forwards to the future. The idea's they are trying to propagate in this video are bigger than the ending of the song. So why nip off those ideas with the ending of the song? Great song and video idea but sadly & ultimately - disappointing.
