+Rino Pshighco Just double checked with the studio album (This Machine Kills Artists) and I'm still pretty sure the current tracklisting I have up is correct.
Olympia! *It's the music.* I first saw _Melvins_ in Oly back in 1983/84. I paid $2 to see them open for _Beat Happening_. They were faster than D.R.I. back then. I've seen them over 30 times now, and it's always different... always awesome. They'll always be my fave. Thanks for the great session.
i saw him do this set when he came to bellingham... and let me just say for me at least, it was sooo cool and equally uncomfortable... it was SOOOO personal and intimate and hes staring you in the face with that deadly look just a few feet from you and at ground level... hes doing his thing which is awesome and here you are just staring at him.... i would do it again... but i would try not to have that uncomfortable smile on my face next time. you know the one where you cant handle the pressure and the only thing your body can do is grin even though you dont think anythings funny..... anyway the shot at :30 just gave me a flashback
Looking forward to seeing Buzz acoustic in a few weeks, and hearing him talk. He's a funny bloke, but when I saw Melvins a few months back...brilliant gig, one of the best I've ever seen...he didn't say a word to the crowd due to being in full hard Melvins mode.
that wasn't a pointless story.......... That story spoke to me and it reminded me of something from my childhood, when someone else seems like they have what you think that you want at the time, it is you who have the real gift and blessing and one day you will realize how special you are
They know each other, the Melvins were on Lollapalloza 96 when Josh was playing with the Trees. Buzz is just being funny, he's still got that punk rock mindset.
jesus christgau Brody actually first met Josh on that tour. She was 17 I think at the time and a big fan of Kyuss and he was 22 or 23, and apparently they both had crushes on each other and all that sweet lubby dubby shit, but didn't actually see each again other until after the divorce.
I saw Buzzo on this tour and he was fucking hilarious. Some dude, between songs, announced himself: "MY NAME'S DAVE!" Buzzo ripped on the him for a few minutes. LOL as all out fuck. Of course Buzz was fantastic too.
Wow that was wayyyy better than i thought it would be. Not that i dont think hes talented as fuck but i just wasnt sure how his acoustic shit would sound. Gotta say im impressed
Its what happens when you basically tell 90's Atlantic records to sit and spin. Still the best thing the band could have done instead of walking sell out lane like others mentioned
Thats the thing with the melvins, they were so successful in being underground, alternative and anti mainstream, however their songs just were not that good. Its almost like u had to give them a listen and pretend to be into their music because they were veterans of the seattle, nirvana and grunge scene, otherwise you would not be appreciated or accepted. Most people in the audience are only there because of buzz's links to and relation with kurt cobain and nirvana.
I e tried to dig buzzo's music, I've listened to albums, live sets & now this . I can't get into it. I also don't like his comments on how Seattle scene became successful etc. but he didn't reach the fame , the music is not appealing for the masses and from what I've read he don't want to reach the masses. It's a conflicting message I get from him on his interviews. He says if Kurt Cobain never met Buzzo that Kurt would still be alive, wow! Ego maniac .
Okay, don't get me wrong, I love Buzz as a musician but I can no longer like him as a person now that I know how jealous of Dave he is. So Dave playing arenas is a bad? I'm sorry he became successful, Buzz. XD. It's not like he doesn't deserve fame. Dave has worked very hard to get where he is. He worked hard in Scream. He worked hard in Nirvana. And he works his cute little butt off in Foo Fighters. Dave is a man who lives and breathes music. He deserves his fame, Buzz needs to stop being so bitter. And I don't recall Dave buying a car with a credit card. I do however, remember Dave buying his mom a new house so she wouldn't have to work anymore as soon as he got the money. It's also not like Dave lost Buzz's phone number on purpose. Dave is a very, sweet, humble, and talented guy and Buzz has clearly been sitting around feeling jealous for years. It's quite sad actually.
his point was how he (buzz0) screwed up the relationship, intensifying the fact dave is a big superstar so its all the more bad he messed up the relationship. he clears that up in blairing out wit eric blair.
his voice is haunting like an ancient spirit being awoken after 10,000 years.
Correct.

+Rino Pshighco Just double checked with the studio album (This Machine Kills Artists) and I'm still pretty sure the current tracklisting I have up is correct.
+Eli Davis Oh yeah, my bad, sorry :D and tnx for the tracklist
+Rino Pshighco no problem, most welcome! :D
+Eli Davis thanks gracias
King Buzzo is a freakin' national treasure. If this was England, I'd be howling for someone to knight the bastard!
@@jdw9260 Wow some serious jealousy.

The tone of this guitar has never left my mind
drop d acoustic lmao?
Same here. He sucks really bad.
Awesome! Glad that someone got the show from the front! Long live the King!

I have the same look right now. Don't feel bad.
What an intimate place for a show. Wish I was there. Great job King Buzzo!

yeah the difference between him as a solo artist and as a part of the melvins is incredible
that wasn't a pointless story.......... That story spoke to me and it reminded me of something from my childhood, when someone else seems like they have what you think that you want at the time, it is you who have the real gift and blessing and one day you will realize how special you are
Dope!
This is really damn good.i love this sound.
Thank you for capturing this. Very cool intimate set that really didn't need you to BE there to enjoy it ... Odd
Great video. Thanks!
that alice cover is the most badass thing I've ever heard
Buzzo is the riff master
damn! he's good!
Just like me playing acoustic guitar. I always love to tune it down to drop B or A and play stoner stuff.
AnotherGuyOnUA-cam drop D is true stoner
mémdíler
Does drop D just entail dropping the pitch of the lowest bass string or other strings also tuned lower?
@@written12 Just the lowest string. If the rest of the strings are tuned to 4ths relative to D, it's called D standard
Eadgbe to dadgbe
I've been mostly in drop b for a while. It just sounds and feels better to me.
Bringing his gift to the kids. Go freaking Buzzo
this needs much more love..
That 1st riff ... " That is how you start a SET !!!!!!!!! " .
LOVE THIS, kicks ass
god damn i wish i would have gone to this.
amazing!!
He's such a great player. Llord loves the king.
stellar art dude
Exciting set.
I didn't think it could work... but IT WORKED!!
Maybe it's just because I'm a huge Melvins and huge QOTSA fan, but I would have thought Buzzo would have heard of Josh Homme
They know each other, the Melvins were on Lollapalloza 96 when Josh was playing with the Trees. Buzz is just being funny, he's still got that punk rock mindset.
Carlo Von Sexron Rancid were on that tour too ... don't think Armstrong and Homme are on good terms though.
jesus christgau Brody actually first met Josh on that tour. She was 17 I think at the time and a big fan of Kyuss and he was 22 or 23, and apparently they both had crushes on each other and all that sweet lubby dubby shit, but didn't actually see each again other until after the divorce.
exactly. carlo ... i feel like i see you around online a lot. assuming you are the same person i see borrowing this name from Josh on other sites.
jesus christgau No, just here. It's a cool username since most people think you're just some random Italian guy.

Looove that Cooper cover!
Buzzo is seriously the coolest guy ever.

Wow Neil Young is looking a little different these days huh?
Wow that was wayyyy better than i thought it would be. Not that i dont think hes talented as fuck but i just wasnt sure how his acoustic shit would sound. Gotta say im impressed

Hey, my name is Boris !!!
This is like watching a mime doing his thing but with noise. :)
What kind of guitar is that does anyone know
Hi Nikki in the front!
i agree with awesomebill.
Does anyone know what guitar Buzzo is playing?
Anyone know how he tuned his guitar? Fuck that's low.
regular tuning with the E dropped down two full steps to C.
Elliot Wibley Nice! Thanks you brig hunk.
For your gruitars!
Elliot Wibley The E String is dropped to A.
yep it's A. thanks pablomistral
First song is dropped to A. He tunes back to standard for Alice Cooper cover. Tuning for the new songs at 19:00 is CGDGBE.
What brand guitar does he have
Who says Blueridge guitars are for bluegrass....I'd like to know his tuning....
first it's AADGBE then EADGBE, CGDGBE and DADGBE
Is that his hair or a chia pet growing on his head?
😂
The Flying Walrus
I never bought or owned a melvins record
which the name of the song to 9:02?
silvio bazz bit late, apologies -- it's by Alice Cooper - Ballad of Dwight Fry
Eli Davis thank´s man!

Amazingly talented buzz is.
Interesting facts,
Dave Grohl's neyworth 500+ million.
Buzz Osbourne net worth 500k only.
Crazy.

32:30 What the fuck, Buzz doesn't know who Josh Homme is???
If you've never heard melvins before then the first forty to fifty seconds of this video just sound like a dude playing out of tune seriously
Srsly tho?

For The Faint Hearted No, he was bitching about how Dave never talked to him after he became famous. He never once blamed himself.
NO. idk, thats was ages ago, he tells this story on the whole tour
ok. you win, but the new single from the melvins is great. bride of crankenstein.
For The Faint Hearted I like their music, I never said I didn't. Lol. And the new Foo Fighters album is great too. ;o
This was objectively terrible.
I love the melvins. But fuck me I do not want to listen to boris for 9 minutes just acoustic.
❤️
What a load of crap !!!!!!
Then leave
