    Great reaction from you and as you get to know TW better you discover that their music is steeped in various rock styles but invariably it’s pure rock.
    And I continue to reaffirm my humble but very personal opinion that their structure, their cuts, transitions, rhythm changes, modulations, choruses, pre-choruses, drum attacks, their endings... All of it is masterful.
    The great beauty of their art is in its simplicity but all of this always seems to be at the right time and in the right way, bordering on perfection, with sophistication predominating.
    There could always be other options, but the ones they choose seem to be the exact ones to create a masterpiece of art.
    Also impregnating everything with a natural touch of inevitable sensuality that only adds improvements and with the feeling, sensitivity and passion of their blood, race and culture.
    Each of their pieces can be very different, but always with all the flavor of TW.
    It’s very clear that these sisters have no limits.
    They have that gift that only belongs to the geniuses that appear among us every certain period of time.
    This is the youngest veteran band in the world of rock!!
    Without forgetting that they are only three, yes, but three authentic geniuses in their specialization.
    Melodically they are the best, without a doubt, because they are the queens of the hook, the riff, the changes of tonality, the contagious rhythms, the catchy melodies, the sublime voices, the unbeatable harmonies and the ambiguous but deep and powerful messages.
    And this happens song after song… INCREDIBLE!!
    And all of the above is exponentially enhanced in each of their live performances. Individually there is also a lot of material to tell about the band, about this power-trio of sisters who are the new "masters of Rock":
    The Warning ⚡
    DPA (Dany, Pau & Ale, TW) are taking over the world banner of Rock!!
    They will be at the forefront driving the destinies of the genre.
    For now I subscribe to your channel because I hope to see many more reactions and opinions from you about my favorite band of all time.
    Thank you and greetings from México!! 🇲🇽
    🤘😁✌️

    All three of them have an episode on the Digital Tour Bus where they go over the gear. The instruments for Dany and Alé aren't entirely up to date in those, Dany in particular has a LOT more guitars these days, but the general setup is well explained.

    Dany takes stereo DI from her Kemper, which does most of the sound modelling, to the desk. The Pedal Baby gives her some onstage ‘feel’ but they do mic the cabinet as well and feed some of it into the mix.

    Dany runs the guitar to the FOH from a Kemper Profiler and uses the Orange for stage volume in place of monitors. Pau runs the click track and the video monitors behind them from the laptop using Ableton Live.

  • @KabukiKid
    @KabukiKid 8 днів тому

    The Pedal Baby back there is mainly for Dany to hear/feel herself on stage... but it does add to the sound of the venue... the main sound from her comes from her Kemper profiler pedalboard... it outputs two channels to the house speakers.... one of those channels has a harmonizer with a 10ms delay and a whammy with an octave shift down one octave and its own overdrives and whatnot... and whatever other effects are needed based on the song.... it basically gives her a really thick sound.. as if there is more than one guitarist on stage. :-)

    Dany, the oldest sister, guitarist, and (usual) lead vocalist, is a born frontwoman, and is known for her dramatic faces. Way back when they started as a band, Pau (the middle sister and drummer) made fun of her because she would practice her “James Hetfield face” in the mirror.
    A number of their songs start out with a bass riff, and many push the bass to the forefront, possibly because it’s Ale (youngest sister and bass player) who has perfect rhythm (Pau calls her a human metronome) and keeps the band on time. She also has perfect pitch, which contributes to one theory as to why she doesn’t sing as much - that she’s more self-conscious of when she slightly misses a note. Meanwhile, I’ve heard Dany be slightly off a note, but she just braves her way through it without reacting, so unless you know what to listen for, you wouldn’t realize it. That presence and self-assurance is part of what makes her such a great frontwoman.
    Pau, as you can see here, is a five foot nothing stick of dynamite. She can simultaneously belt and hammer away at the drums because she trains for it by singing on a treadmill. She’s almost always got a smile on her face on stage, even at this performance, when she was still so sick from a flu bug (which had hit the whole band; all three were recovering but Pau was the worst off) that they had to give her a steroid dose so she could perform. Troopers, all of them.

  • @Dale-m9t
    @Dale-m9t 9 днів тому +4

    She has a Kemper pedal board. The only thing the baby Orange is for is for the stage cab cause she likes to feel the guitar on stage... (If you are interested in their setup they each did a Digital Tour Bus episode explaining the gear they use.)

    They borrow from so many genres. Maiden is prominent in D2D for sure. Yes, I agree, the world could be a better place iwth bands like this.

  • @Thontor
    @Thontor 9 днів тому +5

    Both of these songs are from "Queen of the Murder Scene," a concept album about a young woman’s descent into obsession, murder, and madness, released in 2018 when Ale was 13, Pau was 16, and Dany was 18.
    "Dust to Dust," the opening track and part of the prologue, introduces themes of life, death, and deception, with the protagonist warning of how quickly things can spiral.
    "Dull Knives (Cut Better)," the 9th track and part of Chapter 3, depicts her growing despair and self-harm as her evil side takes control, leaving her emotionally shattered and consumed by darkness.
    My top 5 songs from Keep Me Fed are Sharks, Hell You Call a Dream, Escapism, Automatic Sun, and S!CK.
    Of these, only Automatic Sun and S!CK have music videos featuring the studio audio. The video for Automatic Sun uses live concert footage from the Tecate Pa'l Norte festival but serves as the official music video.
    Hell You Call a Dream doesn't have a traditional music video, but is a lyric video and there are excellent official live performance videos, with the best probably being from the Pepsi Center and Vevo Studios.
    Sharks and Escapism don't have any music videos, but there are lyric videos if you want to hear the studio tracks. You can also watch them perform these songs live with decent audio (for a live-streamed concert) at their Pol'and'Rock concert on the KręciołaTV UA-cam channel-timestamps are in the description.
    They aren't in my top five as far as songs go but there's also amazing music videos for Six Feet Deep, Qué Mas Quieres, and Burnout.
    Keep Me Fed is my favorite album and there's not a bad song on it.

    Their songwriting, musicianship, professionalism, talents, passion, charisma, and their extraordinary sibling dynamic, all blend their magic to make these young women a phenomenon that's rocking the planet. Their interpolation of 'Enter Sandman' may be the best 'cover' of an epic rock song, ever!! But, then there's the more recent 'cover' of "You Oughta Know" (OG by Alanis Morissette).
