24, peace out for now 🙏
Man, this song blew me away so much that I forgot to rate anything...😭 (But I'm sure it was self explanatory🤭)
You know guys, I find it interesting how I'm slowly getting pulled into metal, especially by these last 2 bands... We also discovered that they're "anonymous"! Wich means we actually discovered "nothing" 😀
(If anybody knows more about them or their lore, I'd be happy to read ab it, since I'm so invested in this band!)
Also, what next ST song would be best to react to from here on? So we're in the right album song order!
It was mentioned in another comment to start from the first ep - titled One, then Two, then the three albums. I will just add that there is serious lore to this band, and going from the beginning will give you a deeper understanding of it. Also, you mentioned how you love the sadder elements of songs - every Sleep Token song has this. Every one. This band is therapy.
@@snoozwriter This band is definitely therapy and I love it!
Interesting thank u for the insight! So would you suggest me to react to the 2 EP's first before I continue on with this Album?
I loved this reaction lol Listen to ascensionism next!
Aprecciate you Man! Ascenionism it is 🔥
It's awesome to discover new people seeing all of Sleep Token songs.
You should try to do them all.
I recommend Ascenscionism next.
Worship.
Yes I had people already recomend this so I guess Ancensionism it is next!😮
My 2nd favourite song on this album, 1st of course being Euclid but he really shouldn't listen to the end of trilogy until he had at least heard the start of it.
listen don’t turn meee into a metal head lolll i feel like ur taking me on a journey with u 🙃✨ video was fantastic and def evoked some feels, my gracious goodness 🥲excited to see u get to 1k 💕
Hahaha it's quite unpredictable I must say
Love it, you've fixed all the things people suggested. Added interesting info, great video, awesome editing, smooth, dynamic, but soft and friendly. 10/10
I'm glad u see it that way!
Aprecciate your feedback on the videos! Also helped me see some improvements 🙏🙏
Some songs you just listen to but with sleep token its a musical journey. I know it's work making these videos so thank you 😇
Of it's definitely a journey man! Unlike any other truly...
Thank u for your Appreciation Whizical💜😇
The singer is called Vessel. He writes all the music execpt the drums. The drummers is II (2). When they tour they have a bass guitarist called III (3) and a guitarist called IV (4) and trio of female backing vocalists called Espera.
Whaaat... Nobody knows who they actually are? Surely they weren't born with those names...
That's crazy dope though if I'm being honest haha
@@Shaan_Angel We know, we just don't say out of respect for the band. Worship!
@@marklewis7732 I totally understand that! Also another thing I'd like to ask, everybody keeps saying "Worship" what do they mean by that? Is that a song?
@Shaan_Angel worship is what the sleep token followers do as each song is a token to the deity "sleep," and their concerts are called rituals. Hence we , "worship" when we are listening to the music hope this helps
THIS IS SO BEAUTIFULLL ✨😆 that part was the best lol
😂🙏
Loving your sleep token reactions!! Idea for other reactions, you may appreciate the song Neon Grave by Dayseeker, very melodic with nice emotive heavy elements to it.
Subbed for more Sleep Token! Love the anonymous aspect, we do not want to know who they are. It doesn't matter, only the music matters. And ANY song by Sleep Token is good. No matter what you pick, it's awesome! They don't miss!
Worship ❤
Interesting!!
That's actually awesome!!
Anonymous vibe for the go!💯
Worship!
I'll echo another comment - I love watching people listen to Sleep Token songs for the first time. Awesome reaction!
P.S. You definitely should try adding some metal aspects into a song just for fun and see what grabs your ear! Weclome to the metal world, friend. Also for a couple of song suggestions to listen to on your own time, or react to I suppose, Ad Infinitum - Follow Me Down (Heavy tuned down guitar, but no screaming) and Ad Infinitum - Surrender (More harmonies and a tiny bit of screaming)
Hell yeah Man!!
That's exactly what I'll be doing eventually!😮
And thank u for ur suggestion man!
I will keep them in mind🙏😎
Sleep Token has definitely intrigued me alot in the metal scene right now haha
Every one of their songs is different from the others and they're all amazing please keep going on the journey!🖤🖤🖤👌
I definitely will be doing more! I'm veryy invested in this band😮
@Shaan_Angel can't wait!
Sleep Token is a very story/lore-based project, and they let the story and music take the forefront of the band, rather than the band members' identities. In saying this, their three albums, Sundowning, This Place Will Become Your Tomb, and Take Me Back to Eden, are all connected and tell one big story. I'd recommend having a listen to all three of them in order at some point, but I also started with Take Me Back to Eden, and even just listening to that album in order is an experience in itself. The two songs you've reacted to so far are actually the first two songs in the album, with Chokehold going into The Summoning. Up next after The Summoning would be Granite. The great thing about Sleep Token as well is no song sounds the same, particularly in Take Me Back to Eden, and they like to be unexpected with some of their musical choices (the song after Granite, Aqua Regia, actually has no heavy guitars; it's a very synth and piano focused song and has a bit more of a moody jazz feel. DYWYTLM, the ninth song on the album, is also completely synth focused and feels a lot more like a pop song). They are very versatile and genre-fluid; as much as they have a lot of metal elements, they are also full of RnB, pop, electronic, etc.
Even on that, metal as a genre is so versatile, as you've probably noticed throughout your journey. It's intense and aggressive and crazy, like To the Hellfire, it's beautiful and heartfelt like the Sleep Token songs, and fun and upbeat like Electric Callboy, and even more in between. I've recently been getting into a band called Within Temptation, which has a lot more of a symphonic, cinematic feel, same with a band called Starset. I'd recommend Supernova, Bleed Out, and Holy Ground by Within Temptation, and I think I've left some Starset suggestions in previous comments of mine. They are both more singing focused and have some really pretty songs with some really nice orchestral arrangements in some of their songs too, but they can also get heavy at times (although they don't use it too often), which gives them a nice sound where they use the pretty and the aggressive sides of metal all together (which is something I love seeing bands do). Spiritbox is another band I like to see do this; their recent two singles have gone from one of the prettiest songs I've heard, to one of the heaviest songs they've put out.
I'd be very interested to see what you do with including metal in your own music too; metal works so well with so many different genres, even pop, and you don't even have to go super crazy with it to put it in. Spend some time to get to learn how some of the styles of metal work, and then you should be able to incorporate it into your own music too! With you mentioning screams as well, be very careful when doing it, as it can be easy to do wrong when starting out. I've been doing screams for four years on and off and there's still a LOT I need to learn. The biggest advice I'd give is 'if it hurts, STOP'. Screaming should not hurt; there are plenty of safe, harm-free ways to do it, so if it's hurting to do it, there's something not right with what you're doing.
Been loving seeing your metal journey! Very excited to see what more you end up looking at and delving into, and definitely take the time to do some exploring of your own! As much as getting recommendations is great, some of the best bands and songs I've found has just been from me looking around, stumbling upon them randomly, or getting them recommended to me on UA-cam or Spotify randomly. Just let yourself have fun and try and find and discover things :)
Man, I truly Aprecciate your time into this comment you shared with me💜
Thank u for letting me know about the albums of ST and the order aswell, it's great to know I was at the beggining with these songs!
And I've definitely noticed that they're music so far has been extremely variety full, even just in the 2 songs that I've heard 😮
And thank u for the suggestions! I'll definitely keep them in mind as they are more melodic as I understood 😮
When it comes to metal and my own music, I'm totally excited to incorporate it!
My only thing I need to learn and improve is screaming... I've tried it a little in the past and It hurt, i had a friend who screams and he tried helping me a little and it's not easy... But as I understood I shouldn't be compressing my vocal chords, instead I should be screaming from the top of my mouth if that even makes sense...
But damn that's crazy you've screamed for 4 years?? How is that like man😮
I still recommend Electric Callboy's we got the moves but if you get the itch to do a long listen to this whole album the whole thing is a beautiful story told by Vessel.
Btw. Chokehold rolls right into the Summoning on the album.
Yes I'm definitely keeping Electric Callboy on the list, And I'm glad I'm on the right track with the album order!
What would be the next song to react to keep it in the right direction?
Bloody wood another funny banger like EC
@@dhanukarna3849 It's also a band?
@@Shaan_Angel Yes dude, Bloodywood from India 🇮🇳
@@Shaan_Angel you'll gonna like this band. Blending Rap & Metal with humor and epicness
Loved this reaction! If you're looking to start listening by album, you might like to start from the EP One, then EP Two, then the albums themselves: Sundowning, This Place Will Become Your Tomb, and then Take Me Back To Eden. I might have a bias as a fan of the band but they really don't miss with /any/ of their tracks.
If you want to do stuff out of order, I'd definitely recommend Alkaline, Nazareth, Thread The Needle, Blood Sport, Ascensionism, Hypnosis, and The Offering (but, again, their entire catalog is SO GOOD).
Awesome thank u for that!
Does EP1 and EP2 have names?
And yeah regardless I'll still probably enjoy the songs just as much if I listen in order or separately 🔥🔥
@Shaan_Angel yeah, they're just called One and Two! You're in for a journey listening to everything.
The Offering, Alkaline, Granite, Aqua Regia, Ascenionism, Apparition, Take Me Back to Eden, Rain
Perfect! Wich one next ?
I'd put shelter, bloodsport, the apparition and atlantic as recommendations from sleep token since you like emotional songs :"
You need to start from the beginning and go in the right order! It will change your life! AND PULL UP THE LYRICS, they will blow your mind
100% agree, to get the most out of the trilogy you need to listen to it in order but for a casual listener just pick anything off this album (except Euclid because that one is for the fans!) and it'll be a banger. I just want to see more reactions :) Worship!
I will definitely pull up the lyrics next time!!
Super
Much love Momentum 🙏
Nice video!
If you like sentimental songs you will love bloodsport (room below version) and atlantic
Worship.
Thank u manoelvictorio!
I will definitely keep that in mind!
Also alot people say worship, is that a song too?!😮
I will go ahead and recomend -I Prevail-Bad Things again
I did see your recommendation Brother, As I understood from the comments it's on the heavy heavy metal side, which is something I'm preparing myself for by first getting introduced to a bit more softer bands.
Definitely have it on my list though 💯
@@Shaan_Angel Bad Things is actually not that heavy of a song if that helps; it's got a heavy part/breakdown, but the majority of the song is a lot more pop-metal and even has rap verses. I've seen Body Bag suggested in your comments a few times and that's definitely one of I Prevail's heavier songs, so I'm wondering if you've just gotten those two confused. I would definitely recommend Bad Things for an intro to I Prevail, same with Hurricane or Deep End
@@SKdaGamer Interesting thank u for the insight! I guess I might thought that the whole band is mainly Heavier type of metal, but if u say that Bad Things shouldn't be that bad, (Even though it's "bad things" 😂) then maybe it could be the perfect stepping stone for the heavier stuff!😮
This would be a great opportunity to listen to Will Ramos (singer for Lorna Shore) cover of this song! You’ll get to his less scary demon sounding vocals!!
It is? So he actually will sing it and not scream it?😮😮
@ yep! If you really want to hear his singing capabilities, listen to his cover for Jojis song slow dancing in the dark! I almost love it more than the original but I’m biased lmao
@@spaghetti_isyummyI've heard of Joji haha!!
I'm very intrigued to hear his singing abilities!!
yesss please do the will ramos cover! i think you'll maybe not hate it lol
That's gonna be a really interesting one, I'm very curious to see how he'll sing this song... Or scream this song😂
@@Shaan_Angel lol, i won't spoil it for u!
also i had an idea: after a year of listening to metal, u should go back to 'to the hellfire' and see if u can handle it, or even enjoy it lol
@@Vulcan. U know Vulcan, that's exactly what I thought of. Life can be unpredictable but if I'm granted the opportunity, I will react to Hellfire again
Ik you definitely have mixed feelings about "To The Hellfire," but their vocalist, Will Ramos, covered this song, and it's actually amazing! If you don't react to it, you should definitely give it a listen!
I definitely do have mixed feelings but I'm curious to see his cover, I can't imagine him actually singing it haha
You must check Bloodywood - Tadka
Some funny Nu metal band from India
Haha it had some humor in it?
@@Shaan_Angel Humor with spicy epic song too
7:28 yessss do that kinda a bad omens or hypnosis sleep token sound would be crazy with your voice btw u need to learn how to scream
Yes I could totally see myself in the near future making a song like this!
Truthfully only barrier for me right now is the screaming. If I learn that, I will release a song in this direction 100%😮
If you want to react to some heavy stuff but not deathcore heavy listen to metalcore as asking alexandria some old bad omens or bmth as sempiternal album or suicide season
Hmmm that's actually exactly what I'd like to dive into eventually...
Any specific song reactions you'd like to see from me, from these bands that would lead in the direction u described?
@@Shaan_Angel dear instanity from asking alexandria or morte et dabo from the same band or amen from bmth or sleepwalking or it never ends also
Sounds Spanish or Italian 😮
I will definitely keep it in mind, thank u🙏
@@Shaan_Angel I need to warn u about morte et dabo is like deathcore with some clean vocals and the song is about a conversation between the devil and God
@@samuelnicolasgomezrivero974Ohhh, sounds very intriguing I can't lie... I Aprecciate the suggestion as I will keep it on my list!
