Don't be surprised at what seems to be a low value. As someone who repairs clocks, I know that that value is about right. This is a very nice clock, but it is also not unusual. Clock prices over all have dropped significant in the past 10-15 years. Unless a clock is something unusual or made by a very famous clockmaker, it usually is not going to very pricy. Also, the price totally depend on the location of the retail shop. It would probably sit for years at that price in my small town shop, but might fly off the shelf at that price in a high end shop is a big city. You just never know...location is key with this sort of thing.
There used to be a cool clock store down the street from our house. They had ones of all sizes plus a collection of fancy music boxes
More affordable for people like me, who would appreciate it forever.
Thanks for the info Matt
I thought it would've been worth more. That thing is beautiful
KO Bossy same
She's beautiful as well
If I could, I'd get one. It's Lovely.
Agreed
at least double
The most gorgeous work art there is the lady. WOW.
Gorgeous piece. The clock too.
lol what a freak
@@corb765 you or her.
You want to get your eyes tested pal. She looks like Blanka from Street Fighter
Shes a handsome woman
I can see why you like her, nothing says i am a tramp who makes bad decisions, like a body full of tattoos, which I would think is all you could get
All those beautiful patterns and artwork. And then there's the clock.
lol
A fabulous piece of history! Love The Road Show.....Cheers Everyone
She is a better work of art than the clock.
She's a good actor, that's all I can say.
Lol she was choked
@@jman2k0Maybe she likes it rough :)
He
@The Original Surfer Bob because she wants to?
That's barely a woman. If that's a woman, I don't want to touch.
All that intricate work with so many colors and design features, thanks for coming in and showing off your tatts😂😂
And that is exactly what she was trying to do. Garish.
😂how much do you appraise the tats🤔😃💸
Looks absolutely amazing, exquisite. And the clocks nice too.
Lovely piece of family history.
All I can say is she is truly priceless ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Ew
I'll bet there's a price.
Wow, it's such a quaint, elegant clock!
Go see Rick. He would give you $10 on the spot but he would also be taking a huge risk.
Like it.
She was hoping to hear $100K at least..
I only inherited High Blood Pressure and Heart disease from my Family.. Thanks
Beautiful. The clock looks nice too.
Show of hands who came ti see that girl!!
*woman
ME🙋🏻♂️🙋🏻♂️🙋🏻♂️. Only reason I clicked
Nasty skank.. maybe a bruh 😢
He forgot to mention that it is Limoges porcelain and the design is called Madame de Pompadour.
Very charming little clock.
Great video,
Thank you for sharing.
Best regards,
TGV
Didn't expect to see you here but I guess... the video is about a clock...
AC3 is the Pontiff but!.
Where do they got this disgusting creature, is that a human. Where is bath room?
she's cool and what a lovely piece
yeah....lovely piece
The clock would be valued higher except there were many made with similar features. In other words, not a rare clock.
@@Frank75288 hahahahahahah
camelpissflavour 🤣🤣🤣🤙
Beautiful clock.
What an example of don't judge a book by it's cover what a lovely lady
That guild work is impressive!
Looks like she just got out the wrestling ring !
I adore this romantic piece.
Wao $1200, I can get another tattoo, woohooo!
I think this clock is beautiful and worth way more than what he said! A lot of people seem to agree as well.
No, it is a mass produced copy.
That woman is stunning.
Isn't she lovely :o)
Is that a joke?
stunningly gross
She'd be pretty cute without those tats.
beatiful
That is an amazing clock particularly at such a low value
... Sadly, he did not even open the backdoor and examine the French clock's movement. We'll never know if it was a Japy or perhaps a Pons silk thread movement.
Yes of course we were all wondering if it was a Pons silk whatever thing you said....
She is absolutely beautiful ❤️
Way undervalued.
Her body is also art.
“ You’re very wise to remove the pendulum from the clock “ after poking the hour hand with his pencil
Yeah, that was a bit "off".
Yes I noticed that too. Rough handling
As an antiques dealer, I must agree with Matthew. If anything, the appraisal is too high. It is a pretty clock but nothing special. If held up in a salesroom, it would struggle to bring a few hundred dollars. Most antiques have seen a great decline in value as tastes change. I love to watch the British version of the show from the 1990's. The information is priceless but the values have to be cut by at least half to 2/3's on most items for a current value. Sort of sad really. I find it much easier to get $5000 for a Maitland-Smith reproduction bookcase than the period Georgian it copies. I'll keep the antique.
I agree that prices on ALL antiques have dropped drastically over the last 20 years or so.
Especially what we refer to in the trade as 'brown furniture'.
As an antique dealer, l have purposely held on to pieces over the years, pieces l had bought for resell.
Especially things l could use, while waiting, hoping, they would increase in value.
A few years ago l purchased an Eastlake bedroom set.
All solid quarter sawn oak, no veneer whatsoever.
The set comprised of a large bed, footboard and headboard, two side tables, a large 6 drawer dresser with large mirror and smaller man's chest.
All pieces were heavily carved......beautiful.
However, years passed, and l decided it was time to move the bedroom set.
I was nearing retirement, and having done well in my business...l thought l would be generous, when asked to donate to the local Church Antique Auction...one if the largest in the State.
Well, imagine my surprise, and sadness, when the gavel dropped on the princely sum of $139.00. for my lovely bedroom set. .☹☹☹☹
She makes that clock cool
Who came here upon seeing the owner's art just to read the comments?
Yeah, and I now leave, satisfied that I did indeed find the expected number of judgemental comments.
did anyone else see the let down in her face when he told her how much it was worth?
Yeah she probably makes that much on a weekend.
@@larryl1427 subtle dig... haha
She's beautiful.
It amazes me how worthless some of these incredible pieces are. This clock has had so many hours of incredible skill and labour go into its making yet its worth less than a faction of those hours on minimum wage.
We all thought he would say $100,000
That woman is gorgeous.
Haha
That clock is gorgeous!
She reminds me a lot of Annabella Lwin from the early '80s punk/pop band, "Bow Wow Wow" when she famously sang "I Want Candy"! Love it.
I thought it'd be worth more. Maybe he was being conservative with the value? Regardless it's a beautiful clock.
Why any woman especially pretty like her would want to tatt herself up like that smh
To pi$$ off you and your ilk!
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder! She's beautiful!
Here you have a 130 year old clock, complete and in tact, with a fancy french painting on the front, lots of Gold all over this very ornate and fancy well to do clock, oh yes---
Best I can do is $200. And I'm probably not going to break even. Do we have a deal?
Sorta Goth, with the tattoos and hair. And so nice looking, articulate and a beautiful smile. I give her a 9.6.
At that price I’d buy a bunch of them lol
act happy
What a work of art ! Masterpiece. The watch looks good too
That woman looks like she is fencing the clock.
I think this clock would sell for lot more.
A lot..
The ess is not silent in fleur de lys.
She was like is that all its worth
What an unusual and bizarre looking specimen! The clock he/she brought was interesting too
That woman looks tougher than me.
Wah wahhhh....
Somehow the clock and the owner seem mismatched.
K Vogel
..i thought they were well matched....both highly decorative and charming to the eye.
Such a pretty girl, why the need for all the tats?
Such a nice video, why the need for a degrading comment?
@@Lauraphoid
Ask yourself why she needs to degrade her body? She clearly is a nice girl and a pretty girl so why the need to degrade her body?
@@kevinchambers1609 it's only degrading in the eyes of a 'Murican boomer. There are many cultures around the world that embrace the marking of skin as beautiful (in Africa for ex). Enjoy your mayonnaise culture and shut up about her choices.
@@Lauraphoid
She is clearly well educated, speaks well and is pretty. That is not degrading.
The question, why does anyone need to degrade their body in such a manner especially when they are as pretty as this girl?
@@CT-mc9ew
I expected that from a racist liberal like you.
Dirty racists like you need to shut up also.
It's got age, old school French craftsmanship and it's tres jolie.
based on that alone I would of increased that value.
you can't see it in the dark though
My Jesus I ask you not to value this beautiful relic "RICK THE PRICE. OF HISTORY"
seems a fair price
Bet she expecting more than $1500 🤣🤣🤣
Two paths diverged ... then came you ...
That's a lovely clock mister owner.
You could tell that she was very disappointed by the assessment
That clock is OBVIOULSY worth quite a bit more.
Anyone know what color blue that is or did I miss it in the video?
royal blue? not sure
So...what reason do we actually have to think this man's valuation of the clock is way off base?
theres more ink on her than the clock
What a beautiful woman with a beautiful smile!!
The clock is nice.
She's a fine work of art.
Not enough tattoos. When she's 75 she'll look lime a melting rooftop.
Perhaps I've allowed myself to become a "Roadshow Snob", but that mystical chime sound they play at the end as the price is announced, rings a bit hollow at $1200. I mean, come on, the girl's sleeve tattoos cost more than that. After years of sampling the roadshow, I can tell you without hesitation, that if that clock was solid gold instead of ceramic, it would be worth hundreds if not millions of dollars more. (waaa waaa I'll just let myself out)
I thought that one would be worth way more, considering the age, the detailed artwork, and excellent condition. But I'm no expert though. I would gladly pay up to $5000 for it if I had the money and it got to that point.
I AM IRONCLAW! : it’s not that rare.
gamejr84 because your an un cultured swine who lives in you parents basement playing video games..
This girl is cute as heck
When she's 70, her grandchildren will bring her in to get the tats appraised.
The numbers on the front seem to be out of whack.
How so?
@@mathieuschuler366 the 12 and the 6 look almost plumb, but the 9 and the three are far from level. They do line up with the winding holes though. Just doesn't look right to my eye.
@@arconeagain oh i see what youre saying! Almost like the whole face of the clock has shifted
@@mathieuschuler366 yeah that's all. It's messing with my OCD, if I had it.
Those nasty tattoos really make that thing look fine,,,,Oh Yea!! From Kentucky
You need another tattoo.
Love how you treat your body.
Is that Daniel from American Pickers sister?
This girl is quite lovely..
I thought Daniel was quite gross, her attitude especially .
She just didn't appear to be a nice person
☹
So that astonishing clock is worth way less than her tattoos.
Can't say much about the clock, it's not what I would call a piece of art, but then again, beauty is in the eye of the beholder and if someone is willing throw good money after trash "objets d'art", so be it. Which leads me to the owner of the clock. There has got to be a few screws loose in her brain to willingly want to destroy a beautiful body (and face) with childish scribblings on her body. How she would think that she can improve upon what nature has given given her, is mind boggling.
She's a grown woman and can make decisions for herself. Tattoos were made completely legal all over the US in 1996, get over it. To see such a sexist comment against a woman, presumably from a decently educated man (your use of grammar is notable, most men can't spell and write like grade schoolers), in this day and age, is mind boggling.
@Leah TV - Thanks Leah for attacking my character instead of my freedom to have an opinion. I didn't "attack" the woman because she was a woman, I criticized her because of how she had polluted her body with cartoonish figurines and silly scenery in order send irrelevant messages to all that view her. I would have done the same if the person in the video was a man, and I have done as such. Tattoos are an abomination against humanity. It despoils the human form that Nature or our Creator has given us. Tattoos serve no purpose. They simply are a means for a person to fulfill a need for self gratification and to tell the World, “Look at me, ain’t I special”.
Finally, making things "legal" does not necessarily make them right. I will remind you that slavery WAS legal one time, but it was and still is morally reprehensible, no matter how anyone sugar coats the practice with irrelevant justifications. That also applies to you and tattoos.
The bottom line is, I like seeing beautiful men and woman in their natural form, if that's a fault in my character, I'll just live with it. However, I will never be silenced.
@@corin164 correct- you dont put bumper stickers on a ferrari-only a fool does that
@@corin164 I have a half sleeve tattoo honoring my dead father. You have freedom of opinion. But you also have to be able to take the consequences of that opinion.

Can someone give her a scribble pad..
Yeah, sell the clock for a nice tattoo. Looks like you need another.
Walter Palmer don’t judge man
Would it be any of your business if she did?
Why do people destroy their bodies w/ tattoos?
some enhance their bodies with decorative artistry. It's a new way of looking at it you may not have thought of.
@@montrealfilmguy " decorative artistry" can be done on a piece of paper. The tattoo craze is out of control - just like society
@MOONLIGHT SHADOW They have the right to destroy their bodies if they like. I have the right to say they are mentally ill and what they do is a OCD - which is a mental disorder
@MOONLIGHT SHADOWWhy would I do that? I'm not a psychopath. Listen, you want to destroy your body? Bur please remember that if you do it like that lady in the video ITS A SICKNESS. So, Go for it!!! Ok? Bye
OMG!! Don't get so insulted. No one says that you can't cover your entire body w/ tattoos. I don't need to do anything. I have MY OPINION. Don't like it? TOUGH!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!
Wow... seems like it never gain any value at all. I imagine it was probably worth that much if not more when it was first purchased with inflation offcourse.
The owner is just a lovely woman.
That's it???? My Nike's cost more than that.
