    The pogo style pins are inherently a problem with emitters like this, Luke's and Obi-Wan's style of hilts. It even looks like they tried to use the smaller/shorter pins, but without embedding them directly into the bottom of the emitter, they will reduce the amount of blade depth. Usually, pogo pins are soldered into a base disk to keep them in place and have a base to solder the wires that go to the controller card. The pins have to be made that was because internally, they have a pin and spring.
    Not sure how they can get past this problem, but I'd be very impressed if they can. Hope to see what they can/can't do.

    Since this company sells hilts with SNV4 soundboards, I take it it is a TXQ? All Disney savers are for the casual Saber fan. They’re not the most accurate and the electronics are always low end. If they made it higher quality, the cost would have to go up and the average person wouldn’t be able to afford them. There good for displays, and most people don’t know the difference between Screen accurate and close enough.

      Yes, that is a TXQ saber

      SABNEO is correcting some of the voice prompts on the Walker X. They don't want me reviewing it yet.

    Random question would the sabneo lava blade work with nsabers lightsabers since there both neopixel blades?

    • @thefrugaljedi
      @thefrugaljedi  5 місяців тому

      Yes! The lava blade is a standard 1" neopixel blade and will work with any 1" neopixel saber which most are. There are a few exceptions where sabers use 7/8" blades but those are rare.

    Another question are pixel snv4 the same thing as neopixel as well?

    • @thefrugaljedi
      @thefrugaljedi  5 місяців тому

      SNPIXEL V4 stands for Super Neopixel Version 4. Neopixel is a generic term used to describe a saber that uses a blade that has LEDs in it. There's Xenopixel, SN-PIXEL, H-PIXEL, Proffie, GHV3, Asteria, CFX, to name a few types of neopixel sabers.

    Sucks when companies like Hasbro with the resources to really innovate and bring something amazing here just cut corners on everything to deliver the least possible and still grab that nostalgia dollar from folks. It's just a shame that these are probably going to be the average consumers go-to and it definitely shouldn't be.
    That pogo pin matter is pretty ugly, tho. Kinda wish they've move away from all that, I'm not sure it's the best way to go. Feel like there has to be better ways to make that connection.
    Not just for the Leia, either. I mean the pogo pins work but something that felt more reliable would be nice.
    But yea, don't buy the Hasbro stuff unless you're fully fine with lackluster electronics and features and sound and appearance and everything else. 🙄

    The force fx elite looks and sounds like a joke in comparison to the neopixel.
