Unless they confirmed that the zilo beast is one of the creatures that hunts down sith from the Old Republic then it makes no sense why this creature would understand he is a sith. From the episode that I remember it actually heard him say I'm going to have this creature killed so I could use its scales. I have another theory... That the Force created Zillo Beasts to hunt down the Rakata. Though that IS if the theory of it being able to sense the Dark Side is actively true.
I believe the terentatek outclasses the Zillo Beast. The Zillo Beast is not intrinsically Dark Side in nature. There was never a Great Hunt to destroy the Zillo Beast, whereas the Jedi Order all but declared war on the terentatek. The Zillo Beast is a wild animal - large, fast, destructive, intelligent, but still, as its name suggests, a beast. To my knowledge, the Zillo Beast has never been shown to *hunt* Force-wielders, except in its own defense. An interesting angle to this discussion that you did not mention in this holocron is the likely interest Darth Sidious had in the Zillo Beast due to the creature’s relationship with electricity. Darth Sidious is perhaps best known and most powerful with Force lightning. Given the Zillo Beast’s capacity to absorb and feed on electricity, it appears somewhere between highly resistant and immune to the Force feat that Darth Sidious most prides himself on and relies upon when he is most desperate. When Darth Sidious started to lose to Grand Master Yoda in blade-to-blade combat, he fell back on Force lightning. In the hypothetical you outlined where Palpatine may have revealed himself without Anakin’s intervention, I do not believe his greatest power would have been effective. Could Darth Sidious defeat the Zillo Beast? Eventually, I have no doubt. But I do not believe Force lightning would have been his ally in that fight.
It got me how it seemed to know where Palpatine was, it seemed to me as though it was Force sensitive! But, then again, it wouldn't exactly be like it'd be the ONLY Force sensitive "beast" in Star Wars! The vornskr, anyone?
If the Mnggal Mnggal managed to infect the Zillo, it would end the Star Wars Universe. "But not if the Light side of the Force has anything to say about it, it does."
The Zillo Beast episode is, perhaps, the moment in which everyone should have realized that Palpatine had to be relieved of his duties: it is perfectly in character that the Sith wants to study and dissect the animal to obtain anti-blaster plates, and It's perfectly in character for him to do this behind the Jedi's back. The problem is having transported the equivalent of Godzilla to the capital of the Republic: it would be as if the president of the USA placed an atomic bomb in the center of New York and a light touch was enough for it to detonate. There are too many warning signs that would arise in the mind of anyone, clouded by the dark side or not: why did Palpatine prefer to bring the Zillo Beast to Coruscant, rather than to a desert planet? Why would the chancellor have more say over an ancient, semi-legendary animal than the Jedi? What consequences could the release of the zillo have in a metropolis? Was there a leak? I remember that the Malastare duggs were willing to support the Republic only if it killed the zillo, and not simply transported it to another planet. What wizardry did Palpatine do to prevent similar destruction from reaching every planet in the galaxy? What would have been the consequences, in terms of image for him and the republic? Did Dooku cover everything up and force the separatists not to use this propaganda weapon?
I suppose that depends on how we choose to define “deadly”. It is certainly up there. I will say it is amongst the most durable and powerful. But deadly is not always the same thing.
My theory is the zilo beast was able to sense sideous was becuase it ability to sense/nullify/absorb energy. So it was likely able to use those sense to feel sideous intent towards that rare moment, he let slip his feelings as he reveled in the possibilities it's existence provided him
Honestly ,I suspect an ancient sith created the zilo beast with Sith Alchemy like the terantatekts. But they proved to hard to control or something and they released all of them on Malastare, when they realised they couldn't kill them
I find it funny that Kylo Ren managed to slay a colossal intelligent beast that not even the Chosen One could scratch yet was defeated by a scavenger wielding a lightsaber for the first time
One of the most ironic moments had to be Jedi literally shielding Palpatine. Surely he had a chuckle to himself about that later.

Seeing that giant cutie get murdered in Clone Wars made me really sad :CC Cool Vid tho ✨✨
I suppose that depends on how we choose to define “deadly”. It is certainly up there. I will say it is amongst the most durable and powerful. But deadly is not always the same thing.
I think the great krayt dragon and the space verminoth put the ZB to shame.
Good soldiers watch early
Death of wonder, beauty and nature for the sake of power.
They needed to kill it from the inside out. Nobody saw that coming a mile off.
Ive binge watched the show twice and do not remember the godzilla arch at all
I would have befriended it if I was a jedi.
The Gorog actually, the immense size and strenght makes it the deadliest creature in the galaxy.
It really made me sad to see the Zillo Beast die…
My theory is the zilo beast was able to sense sideous was becuase it ability to sense/nullify/absorb energy.
So it was likely able to use those sense to feel sideous intent towards that rare moment, he let slip his feelings as he reveled in the possibilities it's existence provided him
Palpatine didn't use the force to escape certain death. He used plot armor. Force Plot Armor.
The Zillo Beast is cool
The most deadly thing in the galaxy is Kathryn Kennedy
I am speechless!!!!!!
I wish there was a yahweh like being in starwars universe
Honestly ,I suspect an ancient sith created the zilo beast with Sith Alchemy like the terantatekts. But they proved to hard to control or something and they released all of them on Malastare, when they realised they couldn't kill them
That would have been amazing if Palpatine used the force against the Zillo beast with Anakin and the jedi were right beside him.
I saw a story years ago where Vader Controlled this beast with his animal controlling powers
I liked the Zillo Beast when it was first seen in “Monsters Inc”! 😅😅😅
Lol. Zillo is a bit on the nose there.
The Zillo beast was force sensitive!
Who would win in a battle between Zillo v Gorog?
I was thinking this exact thing
It’s also on the final level of a Lego Star Wars game
I find it funny that Kylo Ren managed to slay a colossal intelligent beast that not even the Chosen One could scratch yet was defeated by a scavenger wielding a lightsaber for the first time
They just scaled untrained Rey above Chosen One to make people mad 😂
Now imagine if the Zerg or Tyranids got a hold of him.
I was so sad when they gassed Zillo Beast 😢😢
The great housing beast!
Think you meant Anakin and Mace doscovered the Zillo Beast
