In every instance Danielle has been nothing but truthful. Talented people who are very shy can be coaxed into performing, and the fact that she only performed two times in public before her audition only reinforces how shy she was in front of people. It takes A LOT of courage to overcome stage fright, and I say good for u Danielle. Look how far you've come!
Hearing this would not make me think this girl was going to become the Voice that she is now. I think she is the best singer the Voice has produced and I expect her to actually have a career after the show.
Agreed, the doubters disturb me as well. I had no idea who Danielle was, I just watched the show from the beginning. From the beginning it was clear to me that Danielle was the voice. She was the only person on the show who delivered a pitch perfect performance every single time. Listening to her voice was like listening to FM in stereo versus AM in mono to everyone else. It's just a fact. Michelle was gracious in Danielle's victory and knew it. She will be a huge star in her own genre.
Why is everyone so obsessed with this? She won for her talent. I deal with ppl everyday and they all lie to my face and believe their lies. These ppl are living off our tax dollars. Now that is something to get pissed off about. Be Happy for Danielle. She will give back to our country one day when she's making millions. Congratulate her.!

I've seen Jenny's adorable vids on YT w/ D since they were pre-schoolers & so I know Jenny can sing too. I love J's H.S.performance of "A Whole New World" duet w/ that lovely boy singer. I suspect her talents= not a secret for long... all my best wishes 4 both of their dreams. So glad both have calm devoted fam&friends like U.

These comments are disturbing. I am a family member and I WILL tell you that Danielle has never performed in front of a large crowd. This video is before the fair even started, and I was one of the 6 family members screaming in the back ground. The videos of Katy festival is after she came home from The Voice. The show is pre recorded and its been a wonderful ride. Brad Bery happens to be one of those fans that's everywhere, and that's ok cause fans is what keeps them motivated.
the blind audition where she said that wasn't a live TV performance. She was referring to the audience that was present at the venue. Many of the other artists have professional experience and have played HUGE gigs, so they wouldn't have been able to claim that.

Sasha Allen sang bank up for xtina; Judith Hill sang a duo with MJ. Others had previous record deals. Cassadee Pope toured with her band for 2 years before the voice, etc. Danielle had no pro experience.

To those who never get a chance to sing on stage, singing on a stage and on a BIG stage are never the same. How many Grammy's winner were watching her in this vid? None. There was not a set standard for this show. And audience walked in and out at any time. If you can't distinguish that from The Voice stage, get a life!

All I do is watch her interviews and read the news lol it doesn't take much effort to know the facts. She has said many times that she gets really nervous before, but has found that once she's on stage the nerves go away. This is very common with talented shy people. Carly Rose Sonenclar said the exact same thing. Once she pushed through the nerves she found that she is relaxed and in her element on stage. Now she loves performing, but still gets nervous before she goes on.

As for the Blind auditions, they were moved up to Fall 2012 during season three, to accommodate Shakira who was very pregnant, and needed time off to have her baby.

Justa, you have some serious problems. If you watch and listen there is about 25 people in the crowd and the crew is working the stage. She had this opportunity because a family member sets up stages. it is NOT a big performance nor is she billed as one of it's performers. So stop being a hater and looking for negative.
The point of Danielle's back story is that she was shy and The Voice was her first big performance. A performance like this at 12 and one more at 15 support that she was in fact shy. A more confident person with her ability would be singing in public all the time. This video doesn't change the point of her story, it's an unnecessary detail. Plus they showed it on the Tonight show and she said she had 2 public performances before the Voice. So there you go she "came clean" LMAO
I thought the same thing, my impression was that she said she had never sung in public before, but even if she just said it was her first big performance, that's wrong and misleading, as of course for most people that would be the biggest performance of their life, even if they sing in front of people all the time, although I am sure she didn't mean to mislead anyone.
In interviews she is always asked about her experience before the voice. That would be before her blind audition. That audition took place in the Fall of 2012. This performance obviously took place before her audition. Are you accusing Danielle and the show of conspiring to hide this performance from the public? That's absurd.

you are right ..that is NOT a sound check because the musicians were NOT playing their instruments ...this would have been "PRE sound check" for the true performance which came later...there were workers sitting at the drums making adjustments ...this was NOT billed as a Danielle Bradberry performance ....and her two songs were an opportunity to sing in front of about 15-30 family and friends ...I don't like liars either.. don't like haters even more ..stop being a hater because Michelle lost
Stay calm. I am serious. I just said that she had some performing experience, not none and more than just her mirror. I am a singer...and as a kid I sang solos with a choir at school. I wouldn't have said I only sang in front of my mirror.it makes a difference in poise, whether you are paid or not. Did she have way less experience than the others? YES!!! Did she have no experience singing in front of a crowd. NO I am just a stickler for total honesty that is all. is she still amazing? YES.
Danielle's incredible ability transcends cynicism, sadness, or negativity. The simple fact is, with virtually NO public experience and NO professional experience, she is outperforming people with TEN YEARS OF PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE. Just for example, how many of the naysayers had any idea that Sasha Allen STARRED in a FULL LENGTH MOVIE, "Camp". She has a 3 minute solo to open the movie, which opened in 2003. She had a major part in the movie!

I think we should just judge people based on how they're performing in the moment. Not on whether they're younger or older or had more or less experience. I don't see anything wrong with rewarding someone who has worked very hard at something their whole life, And I see nothing wrong with rewarding someone with raw talent. But it's wrong to use that as a criteria for deciding whether one artist is better than the other.
i agree with megarenee07, although I absolutely love Danielle, in the beginning of the voice they asked her if she has ever sang in front of a crowd and she said no. so that was a flat out lie. also she has a bunch of videos on youtube where she sings great in the bathroom and stuff so that's all called experience and singing in front of a crowd. but other than that I love Danielle. shes an amazing singer! don't give up Danielle!
There is no way that she is 13 years old because in another video, she was 13 years old and looks totally different......... She was probably 9 or 10 years old........ Her video of Address in the Stars, she was 13... I'm confused, but she sounds great even at a young age..
You are so right. I say that it is the adults and they see wealth/fame for themselves. This happens to young kids playing Basketball, Football, Tennis, etc. Anything that can get them to the big Colleges, Olympic's, Pros. They are stage parents shopping the kid. Danielle can't see the forest for the trees and that is sad because it will follow her for the rest of her life and she will be known to have lied or have gone along with the facade and charade, very sad. I know I was a young Olympian.
I actually agree to a degree.. I don't think this was a "huge" crowd, but by the sound plus all the people on stage I bet quite a few, plus the thousands on UA-cam.. She claimed in interviews she was afraid of singing in front of people even her family and would only sing alone in front of her mirror up until The Voice... I knew there was a reason she was so confident because this girl has a lot of experience.... It's sad she felt the need to outright lie to everyone. :(

The info she left out is of no importance. It doesn't change the point of the story. She adds that info in some interviews and her answer is the same. Very little experience no vocal lessons. You are over scrutinizing her words because you are mad that Michelle lost. Michelle has even said she's happy she didn't win bc the record contract is not a good fit for her. She sees that it's better for Danielle because she wants to be a pop artist, and Michelle is "Indy"

Justa, you have some serious problems. If you watch and listen there is about 25 people in the crowd and the crew is working the stage. She had this opportunity because a family member sets up stages. it is NOT a big performance nor is she billed as one of it's performers. So stop being a hater and looking for negative.

The point of Danielle's back story is that she was shy and The Voice was her first big performance. A performance like this at 12 and one more at 15 support that she was in fact shy. A more confident person with her ability would be singing in public all the time. This video doesn't change the point of her story, it's an unnecessary detail. Plus they showed it on the Tonight show and she said she had 2 public performances before the Voice. So there you go she "came clean" LMAO
I thought the same thing, my impression was that she said she had never sung in public before, but even if she just said it was her first big performance, that's wrong and misleading, as of course for most people that would be the biggest performance of their life, even if they sing in front of people all the time, although I am sure she didn't mean to mislead anyone.
In interviews she is always asked about her experience before the voice. That would be before her blind audition. That audition took place in the Fall of 2012. This performance obviously took place before her audition. Are you accusing Danielle and the show of conspiring to hide this performance from the public? That's absurd.

danielle is absolutely amazing and she is an amazing 16 year old with no voice lessons or anything. i mean come on give her a break like all she did was sing in her room or infront of friends/family 99.99% of the time how are you going to count this as "previous experience" when last seasons winner was previously a lead singer in a band?
you are right ..that is NOT a sound check because the musicians were NOT playing their instruments ...this would have been "PRE sound check" for the true performance which came later...there were workers sitting at the drums making adjustments ...this was NOT billed as a Danielle Bradberry performance ....and her two songs were an opportunity to sing in front of about 15-30 family and friends ...I don't like liars either.. don't like haters even more ..stop being a hater because Michelle lost

Stay calm. I am serious. I just said that she had some performing experience, not none and more than just her mirror. I am a singer...and as a kid I sang solos with a choir at school. I wouldn't have said I only sang in front of my mirror.it makes a difference in poise, whether you are paid or not. Did she have way less experience than the others? YES!!! Did she have no experience singing in front of a crowd. NO I am just a stickler for total honesty that is all. is she still amazing? YES.
Danielle's incredible ability transcends cynicism, sadness, or negativity. The simple fact is, with virtually NO public experience and NO professional experience, she is outperforming people with TEN YEARS OF PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE. Just for example, how many of the naysayers had any idea that Sasha Allen STARRED in a FULL LENGTH MOVIE, "Camp". She has a 3 minute solo to open the movie, which opened in 2003. She had a major part in the movie!

I think we should just judge people based on how they're performing in the moment. Not on whether they're younger or older or had more or less experience. I don't see anything wrong with rewarding someone who has worked very hard at something their whole life, And I see nothing wrong with rewarding someone with raw talent. But it's wrong to use that as a criteria for deciding whether one artist is better than the other.
I can only imagine how good her singing that song would be now at 12 Danielle sang that song better than Miley every did

i agree with megarenee07, although I absolutely love Danielle, in the beginning of the voice they asked her if she has ever sang in front of a crowd and she said no. so that was a flat out lie. also she has a bunch of videos on youtube where she sings great in the bathroom and stuff so that's all called experience and singing in front of a crowd. but other than that I love Danielle. shes an amazing singer! don't give up Danielle!

There is no way that she is 13 years old because in another video, she was 13 years old and looks totally different......... She was probably 9 or 10 years old........ Her video of Address in the Stars, she was 13... I'm confused, but she sounds great even at a young age..
You are so right. I say that it is the adults and they see wealth/fame for themselves. This happens to young kids playing Basketball, Football, Tennis, etc. Anything that can get them to the big Colleges, Olympic's, Pros. They are stage parents shopping the kid. Danielle can't see the forest for the trees and that is sad because it will follow her for the rest of her life and she will be known to have lied or have gone along with the facade and charade, very sad. I know I was a young Olympian.

I actually agree to a degree.. I don't think this was a "huge" crowd, but by the sound plus all the people on stage I bet quite a few, plus the thousands on UA-cam.. She claimed in interviews she was afraid of singing in front of people even her family and would only sing alone in front of her mirror up until The Voice... I knew there was a reason she was so confident because this girl has a lot of experience.... It's sad she felt the need to outright lie to everyone. :(

The info she left out is of no importance. It doesn't change the point of the story. She adds that info in some interviews and her answer is the same. Very little experience no vocal lessons. You are over scrutinizing her words because you are mad that Michelle lost. Michelle has even said she's happy she didn't win bc the record contract is not a good fit for her. She sees that it's better for Danielle because she wants to be a pop artist, and Michelle is "Indy"
