she shuts down all the critics that said the she could only sing country Blake had her say country on The Voice to build her a fan base because he knew she could sing any genera and I think her fan base is strong and getting stronger and stronger

No extraneous vocal acrobatics, like so many put into their cover of this song. Just pure singing, with great pitch, the best tone to come along in decades, outstanding rhythm and vocal range. If this country still knows what quality music is, without the trashy videos and average singers, so dominant today, she will be HUGE. I think she is way too good for just country music.
She was already a great singer when she was on the Voice, but now she's a great performer. She just seems so much more comfortable and confident. She deserves all the success she's getting.

Sometimes pure, sweet and clear voices don't do so well on songs like this, but she just plumb knocked this out of the park and the time zone. SOMEBODY WRITE THIS GIRL A SERIOUS SONG.
She has a serious song. "I will never forget you". Why it isnt heavily played and not a number 1 song is beyond me. Unbelieveable!

Danielle does a fantastic performance which is on Par with a very seasoned and gifted talent "Pink". Watch Pink live in LA and this by Danielle, both these girls are immensely talented. I am hopeful that Danielle can connect with enough fans that she can have a long and rewarding career. I love everything about Danielle.....

I'm gonna comment one more time on this post: Just listen to that sweet, sweet, unique, almost childlike, but mature at the same time, tone coming through, even on the high, hard driven notes. She has a truly great, one of a kind soul touching voice. If her detractors don't get it, it is their loss, and a sad one.

Tessanne was great, on her season of The Voice, and did a great cover of this song. Didn't come close to this, however, in my opinion.

Not to put anybody else down, this is just my opinion. I just listened to the original artist's studio version of this, for the first time. I gotta say it. Danielle's live performance, here, is considerably better. Also, her band/backup singers are excellent with her.
"Better" is likely _clearer_. Danielle's high-end vocal range is so clean, and as one other commenter posted - "effortless". On the other hand, P!nk puts a tremendous amount of soul into her songs, and they sound much more raw and powerful, primarily because she lived the lyrics.
In this video does anyone see a little bit of a comparison to a young Grace Slick. Great song for her.
