Maybe a little bit tired but she is dressed down and is not wearing any makeup at all. I disagree that she seems uninterested...I think she loves this song and she puts everything she has into every song she sings. I expect this song to be a big hit in Nashville and her album is going to be a smash.

I don't know what happened to the reply button...but to Jimmy Locklear...a country classic?...I somehow doubt it. The majority of country audiences aren't that deep. This will be a gem for you and me and Brad and those who get it...to reflect on periodically. To be a country classic it has to have guns, beer, flag waving, dogs, fishing and pickup trucks. I hope this amazing singer continues to be selective in what she chooses to record!!

Consider Danielle like a basic Corvette at this venue. Add the exterior paint and trim (make up, hair and clothes) and the bigger motor (a full band), she'll break your neck

I love Danielle and I'm a huge fan, but she looks tired & uninterested in this song. Her voice still makes up for that. She's 17 not 40 please write her some young upbeat songs like "Heart of Dixie" We all saw how she killed it with Hunter Hayes. She needs fresh young upbeat country music made for a 17 yr old. I know you can do it! Go Danielle we love you!

I just wanted to point out that Danielle wouldn't need to apply empathy to this performance because she actually is the daughter of a working man, and maybe your not connecting to the song because you are unable to empathize with daughters of working men. I could have worded it differently and I apologize for that, but this is a public forum and there is a "reply" button on the comments...
Also, why is it OK for you to say that Danielle lacks empathy but when I say the same thing about you I'm "attacking"?
Brad Bery I never said that I'm not connected to the song. I actually love it and find the song very beautiful. I'm just commenting on her performance in THIS video, as I mentioned in my very first comment.
She doesn't need any empathy in this video moron.
Her beautiful voice and the simplicity of this performance is what's so special.
