Your patch cushion is beautiful!!! You are an inspiration for me to try to do one for my home. Your time to make your podcasts is truly appreciated! Thank you for sharing your knitting!!
First, your kitchen is gorgeous…yes I am jealous! Second your pillow backing is beautiful. Can you make pillow to fit the tapestry without trying to shrink it? It is very easy. I think that you could take custom orders for color work sweaters and socks. They would have a steep price tag, but people pay for that stuff. I knew someone who did that in the 80’s.💗
Thank you! I bought it at the beginning of the year and it has been so helpful already for remembering what I've done (especially if I need to rip things out and re-do them :P )
Gorgeous!!! Easy to modify pillow size downward! In France, 60 cm square pillows are standard for beds, for example. More common than rectangular. (Maybe you can negotuate with Fair Isle lady to get a sweater pattern since you are giving her generous free publicity.)
Thank you! And I'm glad to hear you are thinking of doing a full fair isle sweater. They are a work of art and I don't think you will regret it! Let me know what pattern you choose!
@@katknits they really are a work of art! There’s so many good ones from Marie Wallin, but I think I’m gonna go for the Finch sweater. Classic colorwork vibe!
That cushion is just glorious even if it's bigger than needed :) i think to make it smaller you have to block it in hot water but also I have never done such a procedure only heard about it
Thank you! It is a tad bit disappointing that it is so large, but perhaps what my apartment is missing is a large pillow! Thanks for the tip about hot water - I think I am too nervous to try it on the finished pillow, but maybe I'll do a small swatch and block that in hot water.
I love the red buttons on the white jumper. SUCH a cute idea. I missed what the brand of the white stinky wool was….can you remind me so I don’t go buy it!

Thank you so much! I appreciate it. The cushion was a lot of fun to knit - it definitely isn't boring!

I echo the others comments. The cushion is outstanding. I struggle with colour work, but you have totally nailed it. 🎉
Thanks so much Jane! I very much doubt that you struggle with colour work - I've seen your sweaters!
Your pillowcase is amazing! Good job ❤
Thanks Ruth! Don't know if I will ever do flat colour work again :P
I admire you for having a yarn journal where you write down all the details I should do the same because I forget everything :)

I'll come next week to see what you made - major LOL 😂 people think is that easy? I love the sweater you have on mind for that purple yarn

Thank you! That's great to hear that 60cm square pillows are standard in France. It might be nice to make it a bed pillow!
That cushion is amazing! I also want to make a full fair isle sweater at some point soonish. I also loooove that pacific crest hat coloring!!

It was Berroco Ultra Wool. I really, really liked knitting with it. I'm hopeful that it was an off batch.
I knitted a Beret with Alpaca and it's irritating my forehead and that was an unpleasant surprise
My forehead also seems to be constantly irritated by wool! I haven't found anything I can wear comfortably.
Hahaha wet dog and lanolin smell is pretty rough :)
