Most of the show is filmed in Jersey, the interior like the kitchen and rooms are filmed in a studio in Queens, the real house is owned by a couple since 1987
It's actually in Long Island City, Queens, at Silvercup studios where they film the interior of Tony's home. Right next to the Queensboro bridge.

On The Talking Sopranos podcast they said the reason Tony plays with his food a lot is because they do lots of takes and he can pnly eat so much. So he sort of plays with it so he not constantly shoving it into his mouth.
Edie Falco used to chewgum during those scene so it looked like she was really eating ,very smart🙂

The jacket Tony B wears is a joke, because it was the height of fashion in the mid-80's (when he went to prison) thanks to the TV show MIAMI VICE.
Prince of Tides is the movie title he is watching with Barbara Strisand. Tony mistakes it of course for Prince of 'Tide' as in laundry detergent.

I agree. You do the best sopranos reaction. Would you consider scheduling one a week around the other reactions you do? I say this because you were doing this reaction fairly consistently, but then hadn't done one in a month.
Off course Tony knew that Carmela stole money from him, who else could it be? The ducks?😅
'Prince of tide' was the movie he was watching.

All his mistresses are toxic, like his mother. Carm and Melfi are the only non-toxic women in his life. His desire for Melfi is actually his wish to be back with Carm. So in a sense this is the start of Tony's transformation on a personal level
When I was six years old a family moved in next door to us. The father was in the Mafia. My mother and the wife became very friendly. We moved out of the neighborhood six years later. They moved out shortly after. The wife left her husband, taking the kids with her (I found out much later). About five years later the wife called my mom. They hadn't spoken since we moved out. I talked to her for a bit. After asking how she was doing, I innocently asked, "So where are you living now?" Her voice turned very serious and she said, "I can't tell you that, Paul." Being such a young kid throughout I never really realized what a serious thing it was that they were a Mafia family.
When she said, " I can't tell you that" the seriousness of her situation really hit home with me.
My mother died seven or eight years after that phone call. When we arrived at the funeral home my sister and I saw that several people had already signed the guestbook. The wife and her kids were there before we were and paid their respects in secret. We were shocked. We were the family and they came in BEFORE US! Yes, they signed the guestbook, but first names only.
Symbolically... Tony is the bear. His presence over the house is always looming even when he’s not there. Deep down AJ is terrified of his bear of a dad.

Cristy, I had the same exact reaction to finding out Bobby and Janice got married when I first saw these episodes twenty years ago. 😂

Yes they filmed in NJ. The house is in Caldwell NJ, which is where it's located in the show.
There’s actually an experience you can go. It’s at Sopranos con or mob con one of those where you pretty much get a tour of Tony Sopranos’s house and have dinner there. You get to wear a robe and walk down to grab his paper you get to have photo shoots at the house, and backyard swimming pool barbecue With a lot of the sopranos cast members and there’s a bus you can take that takes you to all the popular sopranos locations even some unknown or less known ones usually followed by Joseph Gannascoli AKA Vito Spadafore He literally follows and stalks the bus allegedly selling Sopranos merchandise at a exuberant rate.😂😂😂

There’s a bit of a time jump between the end of season 4 and the start of season 5.
From the start of the show (1999) until season 4 (2002) there was a new season ever year. That changed with season 5, which didn’t start until March 2004. The same amount of time (14 months) has passed in the show as well, which explains why several things have happened off-screen, such as Bobby and Janice marrying.
Two of the best episodes in the series.
Everything is filmed on New Jersey for the outside shots. A lot of the indoor scenes are filmed on a soundstage in Queens NY
Carmela is such a hypocrite. She doesn't like Tony's lifestyle (which is understandable) but has no problem taking all the benefits from it
So long as you realize the other characters are terrible people, and notice Tony's hypocrisies too.
It's nice when you see the parallel between her and Angie later on. She has no interest in working and being on her own, without Tony she's helpless. And she can't stand seeing Angie get ahead of her on her own powers

She doesn’t like the ex mistress calling the house, or blatant cheating. Not being discreet and only giving her pity attention and gifts are her issues. She has made her own sort of piece with the criminal activity
You honestly have no problem with Carmella bringing AJ to her emotional affair with Furio, trying to make AJ grow fond of him and her stealing $40,000 was something Tony had no right to be upset with because he can't prove she did it.
I live in NJ- pretty close to the club they used for Bada Bing :) I remember seeing all the trailers around northern NJ back in the day when they were filming..
Used to watch with my daughter she was about 18 , Adrianna was her hero . when she heard Drea de Matteo opened a clothes shop in New York she bust my balls to go 🤣🤣

My take is he has little rizz at this point, and hasn’t needed it in awhile. His dominating presence along with money is what he leans on. But he displays he still has it from time to time

Okay to answer your question from the very beginning of the episode YES someone owns THAT house it's real and it is in New Jersey!! There are people who took selfies in front of that house all over the Internet and also all the landmarks that you see during the opening credits and during your favorite song are also places that are visited by fans of the show!!
I grew up in Bayonne New Jersey which is right in the heart of Soprano country!!
There were some scenes that were filmed in my hometown of Bayonne and also in the surrounding area Jersey City!!
The one diner that Christopher and the Jamba juice girl go to I have been to myself!!
It's one of the reasons why I began watching the show originally and still love the show is because of the location shoots!!

The classic film Carmela and the ladies were watching was Citizen Kane, for years and years voted the greatest movie ever made, always #1 on the American Film Institute's greatest movies of all time list, etc etc etc. It's mainly renowned for it's revolutionary technical innovations.
It's too bad so many UA-cam movie reactors blow off some of the greatest films in history like Citizen Kane, Sunset Boulevard, Double Indemnity, Casablanca, All About Eve, The Grapes Of Wrath, Gone With The Wind, The Maltese Falcon, and so many more of the finest works of dramatic, visual, musical, and literary art ever made just because most of them aren't in color, as if being in B&W is some kind of defect when that is absolutely the last thing it means.

Not condoning tony Soprano's behaviour or actions, but that gives no right to steal 40 grand cash set aside for future events or act like being married gives self entitled pride for a house worth over $10 million dollars.
