It's probably really good for windows XP Maybe It might be really great for Linux too It's probably one of those cards you just don't want to expect too much out of But either way it's a piece of history I love taking apart GPUs myself And I really love Using Arctic MX4 It's really The best Thermal paste for video cards Especially when you get so much in a tube Definitely the best Bang for your buck But that's just my opinion It's definitely good to be able to paste a whole bunch GPU'S One of the things I do agree with It's nice when cards Only have a few screws It makes it much easier to take apart sum Navidia video cards Are really hard to take a part Like Quadro cards When they have 3 different bits That you have to use So it's When only 4 screws
My pc test card is a gt 720 that I got on an Evga "B stock" clearance sale for $7 before the pandemic. It's 8x's electrical like this too. Easy to use! (I think we will all miss Evga "B stock cards.)
i got my gt730 2gb ddr3 but without the fan its the passive cooled version. I got it from core clock 902 to 1210MHz and for the memory it when from 900 to 1215MHz. And i increased the voltage to 1070mV. My bandwidth got boosted to 19.4 gb/s same for pixel fillrate 9.7 gpixel/s and texture fillrate to 38.7 Gtexel/s. So quite a big inprovment!
the first gpu I bought brand new in 2017, I got a Palit 2gb GDDR5 version which is the best one and got it for $50. I ran it overclocked for years before I replaced it. at around 150 core 450(225) mem on msi afterburner. played so much GTA Online, modded skyrim se, the forest with friends. but honestly if I had an extra $30 back then I would've bought the 1030.
Sad you got the 8x ddr3 variant, I have the 16x gddr5 variant and it overclocks like a champ. With kepler bios tweaker I managed to extract around 1.2ghz on the core and around 400 on memory and it would run every pre 2014 game with relative ease, anything newer and you're boarding the struggle bus
I'm gonna use it for emulation retro games, hopefully up to GameCube emulation. Ive heard you want a 1gb ddr5 version of the gt 730 for best performance as the ddr3 gt 730 can only use 1gb of ram effectively anyways. I'm using the ddr3 version as I am not shooting for the stars. Cheap SSD with Lakka retroarch installed and a cheap GPU, makes a budget emulation rig outta potential E waste.
Next water cool the gt 730 and do everything in your power to make it as good as possible such as watercooling it and overclocking it to its full potential also bios modding and modded drivers
I have it rn after OC its still bad but a lot better than before I have always played at 30 fps and if i need to ill play at 20 im very used to low fps
I'm new to MSI afterburner I have no clue how to use it and I'm stuck with a 730 I have a question, how do you get afterburner to show pluses on the sliders?
Can you try some overclocking on olfer quadro cards? I really enjoy watching these videos, also you should try fortnite performance mode. my quadro k620 stock ran that game at 120 fps which is impressive! Love your content !!!
@@Jaindike Ive seen the DDr5 perform a lil better like 20 average fps , Ive heard you only need a 1gb version as the 730 can only use 1gb of ram. I plan on using the ddr3 version for emulation should be good up to maybe some gamecube games possibly some wii.
@@Jaindike Got one of these pieces of crap gifted yesterday. With nvidia inspector this asus gt 730 2gb ddr5 64 bit card reaches 1316 mhz on the core 1492 mhz on the memory.
depends on what games you want to play and if you edir videos and photos. I would buy a used gtx 960 750ti. Get a older gtx its miles better then a gt 730. (i still use it but plan on getting a gtx of some sort). I wouldd not reccomend a gtx 460/480. I almost forgot! If you have a intel i3/i5 thats 4/5/6 gen then a gtx 1080,980/960,780/ti are a great combo for a midrange cpu. As it won't bottleneck the hell out of the cpu as it would if you put a 2060 in there.

First things first get more ram, as much as possible. Even i gigs isn't enough for anything, 16 makes it usable, but 24-32 ensures it'll never be an issue. 12 gb of ddr3 shouldn't cost more than 20, 25 bucks on ebay. A half tb ssd should be another 30, even if the HDD is for mass storage, hdds still kinda just.. suck. See if you MB supports the i7 3770, would be well worth the upgrade. The 730 is a decent card of you upgrade the system accordingly, but finding a gtx 570 around the same price shouldn't be to difficult

You have to remember that the Xbox 360 ran GTA 5 at 32 fps at most with 512 mb of VRAM which seemed like 45 FPS to me before I knew.

GT-730 with Nvidia game ready driver installed has been very powerful for me.
Just found out that scree recording can decrease your fps so it should add more fps to it

@@Jaindike the best it can run is NFS heat, if I don't overclock, the driver crashes and I have to restart my PC
I wonder if the ddr5 version is much better. To get the thermal pad off use brake cleaner (outside).
Don't know about the DDR5 version. Never thought to use brake cleaner either but Ill definitely be doing that next time

Got a prebuilt 2 years ago with this in. Oh god its really bad. I literally get 60fps on minecraft and 30 on roblox. WITH ROBLOX ON LOWEST SETTINGS

try the 730 zone edition from zotac it would be better with 4gb of vram
