Yeah...it's the same kind of joy I had when a friend introduced me to GTA 2. To take a person out of a car, steal it and then run the owner over....good times when Wokens were not here.
When the last time u remember being that happy playing a recent game. Even when we are excited about a game simply issues with stability take away from almost every new game. It’s become obvious that the developers are willing to trade a good launch for a little better then the worst launch of another recent game knowing the narrative will be well it was better then X game last month in order to decide until launch what amount of server infrastructure will be appropriate. Rather then under promise and over deliver we have gotten to as long as the launch is not the worse then it’s working as intended.
This game is honestly pure fun, according to the developer the design mandate was based on the statement _"What if we built a game where you f**k someone up with the force."_ Seriously, the behind the scenes literally has the developer say this was the mandate and this game delivered on that mandate in spades.
I know, right? Every second of footage I've seen for AC Valhalla... the robe Ezio wore (from 2009) moved more naturally than the one the Viking in AC Valhalla wore

THey had a whole physics engine that factored in object material, its why wood breaks into splinters, glass cracks with gentle impact and shatters with heavier ones, and metal warps and twists. Its a tragedy that it didn't become the new standard for game physics
In the "old" star wars times when there were lots of light and dark side force users, they had a great understanding of the force and it's abilities. But after several centuries of war almost all of it got forgotten or lost so with time the force users lost their impressive abilities
The jedi deliberately started handicapping themselves as well and A LOT of knowledge got lost thanks to the rule of 2. There was this one Sith who started rejecting the dark side and started destroying lots of artifacts and holocrons and had to be killed by his still quite new apprentice. Most of it never even got recovered. Even palpatine was still rediscovering abilities and secrets but never got it all back.

The Sith did lose a lot of knowledge thanks to Darth Gravid, but by the time of Tenebrous and Plagueis the Sith had regained a lot of their knowledge. Hell, Palpatine even invented multiple Force abilities both combative and utilitarian. The last of the Old Republic Jedi (the Prequel era) and the latter Rule of Two Sith were absolutely cracked, and among the best their orders ever produced.
kazdan is definitely the hardest boss fight in the game Shak-Ti, Vader and the Emperor are extremely difficult as well but by then you have all the force abilities and the majority of the combos unlocked. absolutely love the combat system in this game, and the force grip ability picking up storm troopers and flinging them around is so much fun. imo this is the greatest star wars game ever.
In the psp versuon the colors don't change abilities BUT you had a second one that actually affects the ability so you can have whatever color with different abilities
actually, it was never part of canon. The novel however was, as it gave a much more grounded story and also nerfed Starkiller. the games HIGHLY exaggurated his powers and in the novel they made sure to balance it. but he was still a beast, even in the novel!

Don't forget, the Dark Forces/jedi knight games opened the path for these games originally, including the option to turn to the dark side in dark forces 2. But they were harder.
Just wait until you understand the combo system in this game. You can basically make combos with all abilities mixed. This is where the game begins to make really fun.
Even though you are overpowered with the force, the dueling with bosses has some great mechanics. Dashing while locked on you do flips in either direction to dodge, you can time blocking to parry strikes, you can also rag doll most bosses with force grip if you quickly toss them around while locked on.
I played this game so much I broke the health and force bar. Once you hit the XP cap the game breaks and you are just invincible with unlimited force. Never got tired of this game
I have a save file that’s glitched too, and it’s so damn fun to play around with. Only things I’ve found that can kill you are falling off the map, touching the Death Star beams, and touching the hyper drive core on Raxus Prime 1. I have yet to make a new save file because the max level save is too fun.
Kasdan is one of the hardest bosses I’ve ever faced. Dude is an ANIMAL. Also his story has to be intriguing. The decent to madness has to be more intense than even Mauls.
It's really sad and he's definitely one of the more unique jedi survivors. He created his own mechanical jedi order to cope with the grief of losing everything he knew.
i feel like the junk titans are a blessing in disguise. their attack patterns are easy to read and killing them gives you the chance to heal in the boss fight

Oh boy I did the highest difficulty years ago for the achievement and it was one hell of a challenge, got the cheevo and was finally happy, the whole experience was me just trying to stay alive

Jedi survivor is a game where you need to upgrade force tree for sure. You really have to use it between moves. The force isn't a weapon in that game, its an extention.
Since it’s so old I was afraid the graphics would suck but I was wrong. Been playing it and it’s a phenomenal game! Brings back nostalgia of playing this with my cousin when we were kids!
The camera at times makes this game absolutely infuriating, holy shit. I remember raging during boss fights and legitimately stopped playing it through a couple years ago as an adult solely because of the camera during certain segments lol. Absolutely had a blast despite that

One thing i feel is neglected way too often is TFU's combos and abilities since most people just button mash or use the same few things and get wrecked. Like how often have you seen someone use a grab on a jawa and punt them into the afterlife?

i was very surprised when disney started pushing out tons of references to this semi-obscure game in their stuff. from the inquisitors (which were basically starkillers) to naming that planet that was larger than death star 2 after starkiller
How are the Inquisitors like Starkiller? And Starkillerbase was not named after him. Starkiller was supposed to be Lukes original name but they changed it to Skywalker because it was more tame. That's the reason why Galen was named Starkiller. Their similarities are not accidental but how would they've called the station base anyway. Pretty sure you were supposed to grab they stuff he throws at you and "return to sender". Also, the force powers combine. Lightning Bomb (force grab+lightning) is one of my favorites.
Here's a reminder there's like 3 seperate versions of this game. It's the reason everyone is always confused on what happens. i.e. in the ps2 version the star destroyer is already falling, and in the pc version or, was it the wii version, the star destroyer is actively trying to blast you.

The second boss fight is definitely the hardest in the game two things you need to know though if you destroy the Jedi council he gets angry and sloppy and the other thing when he climbs up on the pole and starts throwing stuff at you you can grab it and throw it back at him
