Great to see a 4x4 channel that is not about just jeeps...showing us that there are way more options that we think (about vehicle options) to go out there and have some real fun...
Nice to see a fellow gen 1 xterra going at it!!, also its refreshing to see different vehicles on trails, its always new jeeps and toyotas on the other channles, kind of boring..
Right on. Great video fellas! Looked like fun. I appreciate your insight about the possibility of running trails using the bypass as an option, since I have 33's and a 5" lift on my '15 PRO-4X
" The Playground" is actually the Rock Pile, the 2nd one you called the playground is called "The Stairs" and the one you said wasn't named is called The Chute. Good watch! just did that and Carnage Canyon after years of being out, and it was a blast!
What size and brand of lift are you running on the Tacoma? Does it rub much with 35's and did you have to relocate the cab mount? Thanks in advance, for anything you can share. Great video! I'll be scrolling through the rest and following from here on out!
It’s a long travel kit from Total Chaos Fab and a bunch of modifications by Nefarious Kustoms. Give them a call and tell them you saw the Tacoma on the Rogue Overland video, they can help you out. www.nefariouskustoms.com
Are you running the stock 1st gen engine (no supercharger)? If so, how is it with steep hills and crawls? I'm buying one, already SASed, but my old 01 x, didn't have the most power behind it
Correct, there is no supercharger on the yellow one. There is some engine work done which is summarized in this video: ua-cam.com/video/1DJoRbT_o4s/v-deo.html It does ok on steep hills on the highway if you can keep the momentum up but if you get behind some that slows you down then it’s hard to build the speed back. Off road it’s fine because it has crawler gears in the transfer case.
Thank you! Don’t recall the wheels but that is one of the guys from Nisstec lifts (Zach). Give them a call and tell them you are interested in Zach’s xterra you say in the Rogue Overland video, they will help you out.
Have you guy's ever been to St Mary's glacier there's all kinds of trails up there it's in Idaho springs Colorado if I'm not mistaken some of it will bring you out in Central city Colorado

So, armor, armor, armor, lift, ground guide buddies, armor, rock sliders, armor and good tires.
All that helps for sure!
Looks like the whale's tail has a bypass...does it?
The “bypass” still has a ledge you have to climb but it is much smaller.
Need more info on that black 3rd Gen 4Runner.
All the details are in this video:
