      Haha cool you noticed! You don’t have too many choices between those rocks and… the other rocks 😂

    Great job and well done video. Blanca is my white whale. The first time I tried, the trail was blocked below Jaws 1 by a rollover. We spent five hours trying to get him right side up but where a sturdy tree or 200' of winchline short in the end. The next time I was with my wife and they have that GIANT METAL SIGN that says Blanca Peak at the beginning of the trail and she saw it. Maybe I shouldn't show videos ahead of time.
    Anyway, the next two trips to Colorado were too far away from there but I SHALL do it eventually.
    Anyway, great video, maybe we'll see ya around N TX.

      Haha yes! The part about keeping it from my wife is true and when she found out she was NOT happy. It’s a tough trail for sure but “most deadly”? A little common sense goes a long way. Like BBP, just don’t drive off the cliff! 😂
      Glad you’re keeping it on your to-do list. It’s won’t disappoint.
      Shoot me a message next time you hit up a local park!

      @@TwoTXJeepers will do. My standard reply is driving to work on I-35E is more dangerous than ANY trail in Colorado. In fairness, she was pretty new to CO back then but we just got back from doing all the San Juan badge trails except BBP as it was closed. We went as far as legal though from the Telluride side. Holy Cross and Devils Punchbowl are also awesome next time you are out there.

      @@jcfindley380haha ya the freeways during rush hour are no joke. I’m bummed they didn’t even allow the top part of BBP. Just above the overlook would have been nice. I might work myself up to Holy Cross the next trip. 😉

    My wife and I hiked this trail a few years back. We walked passed some rock crawlers. The views from the lakes are amazing.

      Wow nice! I wish I was in good enough shape to take that hike on. I’m working on it though 😊. I wouldn’t mind going back up when the sun is out. Probably a whole different experience.

    • @TwoTXJeepers
      @TwoTXJeepers  3 місяці тому

      I used to drive a dirt bike years ago but not enough to get very good. Had a hard time controlling it over big rocks, front always bounced around and did its own thing. Hopefully you’ve got that figured out so you don’t bounce right over a cliff.😉
      Be especially careful on Jaws 3. The bypass might not be a bad idea. Good luck and let us know how it goes!

    I wonder how my 2-doorJL Rubicon would do on this trail? Shorter jeeps have different dynamics than longer ones.
    I enjoyed the video.

    • @BradyW84
      @BradyW84 3 місяці тому

      I think it would do just fine. Colorado Mall crawlers has a video on this trail in a stock rubicon 2dr JL. I didn’t feel anything steep enough on this trail that would have made me uncomfortable in our LJ which is only slightly longer wheelbase than a 2 doorl JL.

    Enjoyed the video. When did y’all do the alpine loop? I see the trees are turning in this video. We did it on September 13th. Maybe our paths will cross again one day. Plan on taking our daughter to the Hot Springs park October 23rd. She will be getting married on October 26th. So, this will be our last daddy/daughter adventure while sharing a last name. LOL
    Sorry, to hear about your friend. Will be praying for him.

      Hey John thanks! We did this one on 9/17 and did Alpine Loop and surrounding trails 9/18-20. So we only missed each other by 5 days!
      Congrats to your daughter, I know it can also be a tough time for mom and dad.
      If you have time to explore the town of Hot Springs it’s pretty near. They have an overlook tower and an Arboretum with a glass chapel that were worth a look.

    What tires are you running??

    • @TwoTXJeepers
      @TwoTXJeepers  3 місяці тому +1

      Hey there. I’m running Mickey Thompson Baja Boss M/Ts. First time I’ve ever run Mud Terrains and they’re a bit noisier that ATs however it seems on the highway the wind noise of the jet is louder than the tires. I’ve also had a little trouble keeping them balanced / vibration free. Traction seems excellent and they have plenty of sidewall flex even as a D rated tire.
