The reason you don't like the Silver Sky SE is it's not a True 22 fret Strat like guitar like Leo's Fender Strat is with the sweet neck pickup placed in the middle of the 12th fret to the bridge. The Silver Sky core model is like a Loe's Original Strat with a sweet neck pickup placed in the middle of the 12th fret to the bridge. Strats, Tele's Les Paul's all have the sweet neck pickup placed in the middle of the 12th fret to the bridge. This Silver Sky SE will never be any good and it is by PRS design, it is like the difference between a PRS Custom 24 and a Custom 22. Through away the Silver Sky SE before it drives you crazy trying to figure this out. They Tricked us all.

I play my Silver Sky (Midnight Rose/maple neck) more than any of my Fender Strats. I adore it. It plays and sounds incredible, and whenever I hear anyone trash it, I just sigh and shake my head. People love to hate, instead of going into new guitar experiences with an open mind (insert eyeball emoji squarely aimed at Jason, lol). Great episode folks! As always.
I've been listening to your videoes tonight while I play (?) flight simulator. I also use Moaning Lisa Smile as a piece to benchmark how guitars feel and handle low end chord voicings. Hearing that has cemented my love for this channel!
Is the Haterade artisanal, though? As far as stuff I'd like to see on the channel, how about: - personal rig rundowns - more chat about musical influences from your youths - maybe some interviews with some of those influences? (I'd love to see an interview with one of my influences, Vernon Reid :-P ) Maybe some of this stuff is more appropriate for the podcast format? Keep it up and looking forward to a great 2022 for the channel :)

I think at 5k the government should forgive Tia's student loans :) While I'm not totally convinced this archetype of guitar is for me as I gravitate to the hardtail/humbucker side of things, this is probably the prime example of what this [REDACTED] kind of guitar can be at this price. I'm also kind of in love with the green and blue finishes, but looks aren't sound aren't feel aren't going to pay for my college either. Really cool that PRS is acknowledging you with a loaner (and hopefully letting you keep it). A great demo as always, and thank you for fighting the dad-rock redundancy in guitar demo videos.

I own two American Fender Strats . I am really interested in this model and also a fan of John Mayer. Probably will not buy one ( I own too many guitars already ) . I have been to music stores and played the core model Paul Reed Smith silver sky I have even compared it against a Fender ultra-luxe Stratocaster. At that price range I gave the trophy to the fender ultra-luxe Stratocaster for the simple fact of its noise cancelling pickups 2 point tremolo system and it came equipped with a hard shell case. But I would like to get my hands on a Paul Reed Smith silver sky Essie and do a direct comparison against a fender player series Stratocaster SSS configuration. But I'm going to say this right now if the silver sky SE is like the other Paul Reed Smith SE models in particular the artist signature models the fender player series does not stand a chance. The fender player series stratocasters have some sharp fret edges. And I also have a problem with the way the strings don't correctly lineup over the pole pieces of the pickups.
Stick your favorite pickups in an American made peavey predator strat copy and you’ll never find a better budget strat. Just like everything else old and peavey, it’s built like a tank.
Outstanding marketing strategy. Close copy a top seller of a competitor, poach an endorser, announce the launch of the product loud and massiv with somewhat like -> Bring the legacy a step further and being somehow a little better than the original. Jason talked numbers. This is business at it’s best. Congrats PRS

This confirms my theory that the middle pickup on an "S style" is underrated and under-utilized. Great video all around!
