  • In this short video review I share with you my initial impressions on the Holosun HS507K X2. The 507K is a micro red dot designed to be attached to your handgun of choice. I think that there are a lot of thing to like about this product.

My high degree of difficulty using a red LASER in bright light has me preferring a green laser. Can you address red vs green DOT reflex sight?

I’m surprised you opted for a manual safety on the Sig.

I have the 365 with the same red dot. I went with a safety as well as I pocket carry this. Even with a good holster why not go with the safety. The 365 safety is not too big not too small so intuitive and effortless why not go with it. On duty carry with a level 3 holster- 16 years I have never had a safety, but in a pocket holster and/or just personal life carry why not.

Exactly why i gave up the dot for conceal carry. Will take my chances with irons.

@@TheGearTester Maybe I was too impatient but when drawing the dot not always there. Sure the bad buy will wait for you for it to come into view, kidding. SD happens in much less yardage. Will stick with irons for it. Plan on using the Dot for a range pistol at a much further yardage. Different situation. You said yourself "it makes you slower". I could be viewing this whole thing all wrong also.

@@34dawgsgo Your reasoning makes sense. Iron sights are a good option.

I have one of those. I like it, but will probably buy the new fully enclosed Holosun EPS Carry

I think that enclosed micro dots are the way to go if maximizing durability is the goal.

If you decide to part with your Holosun let me know. Looking at getting rid of Romeo Zero

This boomer bought a green dot because allot of us fossils have astigmatism and red dots cause problems for us old blind folks. Mine is just for my range toy as I would NEVER consider betting my life on a battery and the old fudd 1911 that's my EDC would probably break the electric gismo because it's 45 acp
