Thanks for the review. Own this and scrapped it for conceal carry as I could not always find the dot on draw. Will add it to a Canik and have a nice range gun.
For cleaning the sight, I never use alcohol-based cleaners. I just use a Q-tip-soaked damp in distilled water to wipe the lens inside and outside. This picks up any dust and dirt without scratching the lens. The distilled water does not leave any hard water deposits. I also wipe the red or green lite bulb with the swab. It works very well.
Incorrect. Use 90% plus isopropyl
@@WheresWaldo05 don't listen to this guy. The manual that comes with the optic clearly says DO NOT USE ALCOHOL
One thing missing in the Holosun booklet is the size of the two different screws included. they are 6x32 and 8x32.
KnifeMaker
They had to modify the footprint in order to make it completely waterproof. Only red dot that is fully water proof
There are countless red dots that are waterproof...
Nothing is waterproof. Only resistant to certain depths or lengths of time…
@@abc1099 nothing is water proof.
mine does not auto-off. it's supposed to do that by default but doesn't. I even went through the steps of holding down + for 10 seconds, ensuring it was set to the 10 minute timer, and saving the setting. turned it back on, left it on my shelf and went out to grab food. about 30-40 minutes later I come back and check the optic without touching it and it's still on..
Do the boxes new come wrapped in plastic? Mine didn’t just wondering if I bought somebodies return.
Mines didn’t either, everything was untouched in the box
I have M&P 9 shield, is there an adapter to make this fit? Do I remove the rear sight? In front the the rear sight I have the red “loaded when up” feature and I don’t think that’ll allow the red dot to sit over it.
I think it is best to contact Smith & Wesson. I do not know of any adapters, suitable for 407 and 507K, that go on this pistol directly.

You could get one of these (designed for the Shield RMS/SMS footprint) and have them modified for the 407, 507K footprint (which is a modification of that footprint). You have to remove the rear sight.
How do you get the battery out? I removed the screw on side and mine doesn’t slide out easily. I don’t want to force it. Is it necessary to pry it?
How do I set the timer for sleep mode or whatever?
The default timer setting is 10 minutes, you enter the adjustment by holding the '+' button for 10 seconds. There are 4 options - 10 minutes, 1 hour, 12 hours or 'sleep mode disabled'.
You set the time with the '+' and '-' buttons. The number of the blinks of the LED tells you the current time (1 = 10 min., 2 = 1 h, 3 = 12 h, 4 = sleep mode disabled).
You save the setting by pressing the '+' and '-' buttons simultaneously (the dot powers off).
They had to change the footprint so that way the optic can be waterproof.
It is cut for an RMR/DOC footprint, not a Shield. It is because RMR is the most popular footprint.
RMR "C" series
RMsc "K" series...smaller shield footprint.
Will there be a chance we can buy the version with the ACSS reticle and big circle from you?
The ACSS models are a result of cooperation between Holosun and Primary Arms. Holosun hasn't introduced the 507K model of theirs with an ACSS reticle as of yet. If Holosun & Primary Arms do come up with it, you will be able to purchase it from us, of course.
@@OpticsTradeEU I had the same question and thanks for your prompt and precise response. Always appreciate a direct response to a direct question.
not sure why they would use an ACSS reticle or any reticle with BDC on a red dot _primarily intended for a pistol_ . You wouldn't normally shoot at a range that you would need BDC.
@@chiboy002 Think they want one single reticle in all used optics. I use the ACSS too, in all my scopes and red dots on AK (.223) and AR (.300blk). Only not the longrange .300WinMag rifle;-) But I‘m with you… for my pistols I use only circle dots and think the ACSS are not reasonable.
This will have a canted 32 moa reticle. Almost 100% chance.
Your comment at 11:10 makes no sense. Because the battery tray is on the side, you DON’T have to take off the sight to re-zero it.
Exactly, that is what I meant to say. Apologies for the confusing statement.
Holosun is American !! With its products being made in china :)
Will this fit a Glock 19 gen 4???
Yes it will, but only with the right adapter.
Can’t you hold the device still. You jump around so much
Glock 17 mos gen 5 compatible?
Yes with a chpw adapter plate but you've got a much bigger footprint on the 17 so I would look into the swampfox liberty
Nice Optic, but they have a propitiatory footprint and I can't find and adapter plate for a Sig P365. So, it is useless to me
Hey Patrick, I purchased the Holosun 507K X2 a few days ago for my Sig P365 and it fits great without an adapter plate. It was either this sight or a Romeo.
@@josephcorreia2168 Thank You for the Information.
If that p365 is factory millied, you do not need any adapter plates. It will fit out the box.
@@syam7213 Thank You
Inko set karne ka ekat video pesh kijiye very nice dost
You are not supposed to adjust windage or elevation befor you install the sight to a pistol
Just read your owner's manual people
Holosun support is a challenge, their website process produces inconsistent output and their response to emails and calls hasnt resulted in solutions. I will avoid them in the future
Stop using the metric system. The people that spend hundreds of dollars on this stuff use pounds and ounces and inches
