Agreed. I have been a fan for decades, and have owned my current G37 since 2010. Alas, I will not be upgrading to the newest generation. They killed the goose laying the golden eggs. Switching to Merc for my next vehicle. The C class is just miles past the Q60.

chocolatewheelchair Yeah but the C Class interior is much better. Or he could get a Genesis G70 since it also an incredible interior for a reasonable price with all of the performance you probably want & equally as luxurious as the C-Class & more than the G37. The Genesis would be more reliable to own long-term because they've been killing it with their products. They have the least number of problems reported at just 63 per 100 vehicles while Mercedes is much further down on that list in Initial Quality Study. Genesis was at the top spot & is the new least problematic luxury brand to own

This is hysterical; a brand trying to trade on its heritage when it basically has none that anybody cares about. Infiniti has been playing second fiddle to Lexus right from the very beginning; and things have only gotten worse since then. Infiniti sales are in the toilet, along with Nissan, I suppose this is some marketing person's idea to help. It will not work

I think once Nissan is refreshes these cars they'll be in a very good place. Infiniti has kind of been the horsepower pick. Shoot they were one of the first luxury hybrid options and they used the hybrid tech for more power and performance and gave efficiency the bird. I like this brand, the Q50 and Q60 are some of the best looking cars in their class (especially the 60). I'm looking forward to next generation.

Intriguing. Everyone thought Volvo was dead 5 years ago but now they somehow dug themselves out. 20 years ago everyone wanted Audi to just die, but out of nowhere, the R8 came out. While Nissan is slowly innovating with the new Sentra, AWD Altima, Maxima, and Skyline they are still a bit hampered by the CVT’s. Hopefully Infiniti May rise again to match Lexus, Acura, and Genesis. Maybe with the help of Mercedes Benz collaboration Infiniti will fly.

Driven Car Reviews this is different. The dealerships might not make it long enough to see those new models that are coming out.
The problem is that INFINITI now has a terrible reputation for reliability and “fun to drive” because of their CVT and drive by wire implementations. Volvo ALWAYS has had a reputation for car safety. That went a long way to keeping them afloat.
INFINITI could make the best electric ⚡️ or hybrid car ever and a lot of people would still ignore the brand simply because they are known as the company that uses terrible CVT transmissions even though those CVTs are only in a couple of models now.
Their reputation is what will kill them. Volvo’s reputation saved them.

Nissan/INFINITI sales are so bad they stopped reporting their sales each month. They only report sales every quarter now. INFINITI dealers probably won’t last till the end of the year when they might start seeing new models come in.
Even if the brands are still around a year from now the dealerships that support the cars might not be. I wouldn’t buy an INFINITI car right now unless you just really like getting your car serviced at a Nissan dealership instead of the actual INFINITI dealerships.

I owned a 2008 G37 and absolutely loved it. I chose it over both bmw and audis.the awesome 3.7 liter engine sounded awesome it was really good handling and it being rwd I would be lying if I told u I didn’t love sliding that thing around. It was a 370 Z with backseats if u ever needed them.A couple years later the switched all their car names and numbers and I knew that was gonna totally hurt the brand, still to this day I don’t know what any of the model names are plus I’m a fan of car names with numbers in them that indicate what size the engine is. Then they came out with that terrible 2 screen system for Nav and infotainment and it made it even worse. At that point it was no longer a good deal or even a competitor with the Germans. Lastly they took that awesome naturally aspirated 3.7 liter v6 making 330 bhp replaced it with a 3.0 liter with twin turbos. I woulda been ok with it if that brought the Bhp up to over 400 but some how it dropped to 300. It’s supposed to be a competitive sports coupe in one of the fastest shrinking markets in the USA and those 3 problems were the final nails in the great G37 that used to be. They have so much work to do to catch up not only to the Germans but honestly I think they even need to catch up to both Kia and Hyundai at this point and it really breaks my heart.

  • @LearningFast

That car won’t come anywhere close to 0-60 mph in 4.5 seconds. The 300 hp version is more like 5.1 or 5.2 seconds. The Red Sport version is close to 4.5 seconds.

Infiniti is not going to see 40. Just poor quality and cheap everything. All much cost cutting. These use to be the called the reliable BMW before BMW went all SUV mad. Now they left every marketplace but North America. It's a shame a company that was so ahead of the time with vehicles like re G35 and FX45 now make junk. You can't even get a LSD on the 400hp redsport thing son you definitely won't get an led on the 300hp version. That interior is so dated. Bye Infiniti, you were once interesting
