Excellent review. It sounds to my like the Q60 motor is suppressed. Both cars have an identical motor and intake system (yes I said intake system) yet the Red sport is faster because it is tuned. I believe the base Q60 with a $1,000 tune is a better value.
but then you lose the warranty for when those turbos or something else blows. Better to find a really good deal on a red sport over tuned q50 if you want peace of mind. For 2018s and older, 2019 and 2020 red sports wayyy to expensive
Ive been battling between the two and there aren't too many reviews on these two. Thank you for helping me choose! right now they're only about $5,000 apart so I am definitely going with the 400 Sport! I'm more interesting in the paddle shifting.
I just purchased a Red Sport 400. Personal preference I suppose. I test drove both and while they might look similar, I felt a significant difference in the S. I feel you get more bang for your buck with the Q60S. The Red Sport won me over. Additional 100hp & torque, stiffer suspension, bigger wheels, stronger brake system, beefy exhaust note. Plus the visual upgrades with the painted calipers, exhaust tips, carbon fiber trim on not only the outside of the car but inside as well, the paddle shifters, the red leather stitched interior I got on mine is super sexy. Love this car all around 👌🏽
2019 and under are good but tech is outdated. 2022 and up you get Apple CarPlay or Android auto but Infiniti never really updated the tech otherwise. I like the twin turbo but some like the 3.7 either wise get it will lower miles.
I’m looking at a q60 right now and if you are too I’d opt for the lux over the rs400. If you’re worried about performance than I suggest checking out AMS performance. They have a wide range of packages that range from 400+ wheel hp up to 500 something I think. And a aftermarket suspension would probably give you a better feel than the rs400 “performance” suspension. As for wheels/tires I don’t see that big of a problem, assuming you’re getting aftermarket wheels anyways.
so even tho the torque is almost 100 lb ft more u can’t really feel the difference cause the torque is really my deciding factor right now because i want to feel that jolt back in my seat but i’m not sure if i will get that with 295lb ft
The increase of torque is 55 for the Red Sport 400, you will feel a difference but think of it in numbers, 18-19% increase, it’s not a 50% difference and Infiniti is a smoother sports car 👍🏻.
Thanks for the review I’ve been going back and forth between both and I was looking at that big price difference between both models and you’re right you should be able to fee the difference for that amount in speed and sounds I feel like you can tune the 3.0T and get up too 400hp and throw a after market exhaust and it will be the same
You will definitely hear that exhaust better and I’m sure you can get the hp. Congratulations on either way you go, they are both nice rides, check with some dyno shops first thought and thank you Maximo5457 for you comment.
I own Q60 Luxe and I drove both. From 0 - 100 range, they are almost similar, only 1 second different by max. However, on top speeds, 120 - 260KM/H, there is a huge difference. For daily usage, The Q60 Luxe/Premium is enough, tell me, where are you going to speed over 120 KM/H? Speed tickets all the time. Also for some visual preference, I prefer the wheels of the Luxe over the RS.
Why would you have to wait to shift w the paddles when they are on the steering wheel ? Unless you’re twisting to opposite lock very quickly which would mean you couldn’t shift a stick either bcuz your hands would be busy. Also best to shift when the car is straight. For best results anyway. I didn’t get the paddle shift comment. Would you rather they were fixed to the dash board? Lol
They should be attached to the steering column, they do not move that way and you can shift anytime 😉. Most vehicles today paddle shifters are quicker than manual transmission but the size of them and how they place them does make a difference, to small you can’t shift, to big you hit them when you turn the wheel, if they are not attached to the wheel, no problems with this or shifts. 👍🏻
They are nice vehicles, power is good for both, yeah most of the sports cars are going round on design and the lighting is going LED. Thank you Dylanater 127 for your comment.
They are very close, even though the Red Sport has more power, this is a great point you bring up. I feel because of the big difference in price it should stand out more, or maybe have a active exhaust. Thank you your comment Charlie Doorz.

@@niemiahgorman3048 that is a great point 👍🏻
@@HawkeyeRides question can you put the red sport 20 inch rims on the other one???
You sound be fine the rear is a wider tire and it is a lower profile tire so the ride will be harder.

The rs400 has the total package unless you want to add your own upgrades. If it’s only 5k off I would do the rs400 👍🏻

Congratulations they are nice 👍🏻
Thank you for your work you helped me a lot in my choice and it will be the red sport 400 .
Congratulations the 400rs is awesome 👍🏻

Amazing brother thank you for the video, with 30k cash to buy one do you still recommend and if so wich year is best or better than others?

Which best for mods, the Pure or Luxe?
The trim level (luxe or pure) doesn’t make a big difference, it’s the rs400 that does. Go with the non rs400 to mod out 👍🏻

Great points Youssef, no need for tickets, you are still arriving in style 👍🏻.
I can tell your not from the us cause the average highway speed is around 80-100mph
Does it have paddle shifters?
The red sport 400 does
Does the Q60 redsport have a bigger motor? Liters wise I mean or??
Same sizes
Also, the difference between the red sport and standard insurance is a lot higher on the red sport
Good point 👍
That was excellent, thank you !

Did he say the tips help produce 400hp?... how?
If you add an exhaust it will add some hp along with tuning
Nice review I like these Infinitis they weirdly remind me of the 2020 supra

Supra is the ugly cousin. Infiniti is a lot better looking and it has 4 seats. I love my q60rs

The red sport makes more power from the exact same engine as the base.
Wish it had a manual transmission and hand brakes.
I agree with you on that 👍🏻
Wow
If that's luxury my Ford ST is platinum
LostPie they are definitely due for a redesign 👍🏻
Practically everything is the same other than you get bigger rims and color brakes rip off!
It does add some upgrades but you can also do these upgrades
It does have a few more upgrades that are actually really nice. Specifically the Carbon trim, as well as that amazing deep red two tone interior.
Weird accent....
Everyone has there own character, thank you for your comment.
Sounds normal to me
overpricedtoyota thank you for your comment. 👍🏻
My Mazda cx30 has paddle shifters..come on Infiniti
It should be standard 👍🏻
