- Star Wars: The Acolyte premiered on Disney+ on June 4 with its first two episodes, “Lost/Found” and “Revenge/Justice.” Set at the end of the High Republic era, roughly 100 years before the events of Star Wars: Episode 1, The Acolyte begins with an investigation into a shocking crime spree that pits respected Jedi Master Sol against a dangerous warrior from his past.

I know I'm SUPER LATE with this review, but with EURO 2024 coming up and me being busy with several projects around that, I just did not have the time to get around to this review until now. Also yes, I did have to rush through it but hopefully I got my thoughts across well enough... lol, keen to hear what everyone else's thoughts on the show so far?
I can already see theories as to who the Sith is; Qimir, Plagueis,Tor Valum, and other ridiculous ones. Has the fandom learn nothing after TOTJ Inquisitor, Marrok, or CX-2? At least this isn’t as bad as the theories that Marrok was Cal Kestis, Starkiller, or Ezra but who knows especially since I’ve seen theories of CX-2 being Fives or Mayday…
I also like how the Sith talks about killing Jedi without weapons only to ignite a Lightsaber right after lol
Oh really, eh? Honestly, I can't say I'm surprised. This seems to be a trend with every new masked mystery character in a Star Wars show. I'm open to anything, maybe the Sith turning out to be Tenebrous (or his master), a new Sith apprentice (that gets killed off and later replaced with Plagueis), or even a completely separate Sith doing his own thing and not part of the Rule of Two (at this point, I feel like anything goes). But at the end of the day I just hope its a good reveal and one that makes sense and isn't half assed.

@@SYLOVideo whoever this Sith ends up being, they can’t make their presence known to the Jedi (unless the writers kill off the main cast) because otherwise that would mess up with the Jedi’s beliefs about the Sith in the prequels. My theory is that they’ll pull a “Boy who cries wolf” situation where there is much suspicion of there being a Sith but somehow, the Jedi conclude there was never any Sith so they carry on like usual
That's pretty much my thinking too. I will be shocked if Sol, Jecki, and Yord make it out alive by the end of this all and live to tell about the Sith to the Jedi council. I'm fully expecting the Sith to wipe them all out in order to keep the secret of his existence intact.
I don't think I'm going to watch this show, it just looks generic
A lot here is generic so far, but I'm counting on that to change since maybe it just has a slow start and things will soon hopefully spice up. There's potential to be had here, I'm just wondering if the writers will take advantage of that said potential...
