Safe to say this is the first episode that we've finally seen some of that $180 million in the footage with the lightsaber choreography (which for that amount of money, it better be good). I was especially most impressed with Jecki's duel, as her fight style reminded me a lot of a young Ahsoka. Bit of a shame she had to go out like that, but it's not surprising at all when we figured since last episode that every Jedi here should be dead by this episode. A lot of neat fight scenes here, but aside from that bad writing still very much plagues this show and keeps holding it back. I see the potential in The Acolyte, but it needs better writers!! Also I'm curious, but is anyone here still rooting for either Mae or Osha? They're the main characters but feel like the weakest part of the show... obviously not a sign of a tightly written show. 😑

Cant say its a bad show and the writing is perfect by them or else your a bigot or racist lol 😂 for me I’m not even interested in the show and haven’t even watched any of it so much legends potential we could have gotten and we got this lol 😂

I’ve been writing a science fiction fantasy book for 15 years and one of the principal characters is named Sylo. SYLO, do I have your blessing?

The show is made to show the Jedi as strict code followers , overconfident, unable to adapt to change Force users. The Darth Gimp fight was lame (as the whole story) because eight Lightsaber’s will always beat one, hence the Cortosis, and Jedi hiding (disappearing) whilst their temple buddies are slain.
Next Osha will be tempted to the Dark side, and in a flashback we may see Wookiee Jedi Ballknackers fight to the death.

The funny thing is that Sol is stronger than Qimir. Had he not hid (as well Jecki) like some child at the beginning and instead fought Qimir with the rest of the Jedi, they would had won lol

@@SYLOStarWarswe don’t know how long it was till osha woke up. It’s possible he did stand with the other Jedi but was pushed again or separated

We also know it couldn't had been that long either for when Osha woke up, given how relatively quick Qimir was killing everyone off. Not to mention, Mae not getting very far from Kelnacca's home (where the battle took place) also proves this too before she got ambushed by Jecki.
Let's also say even if Sol was forced pushed away again (which wouldn't look good on him since the surprise factor is out the window and he knows he's up against a dangerous opponent), by the time Osha had woken up, he should had easily been back in the fight (you can get forced pushed only so far away from the initial spot you were standing at). Besides, if he did really stand and fight with the other Jedi, Qimir would had been dead. Sol was by far the strongest character in that entire jungle, even Qimir couldn't defeat him 1v1... now you put Sol and his Jedi buddies (+ Jecki) all ganging up on Qimir? Sith boy has no chance.

@@SYLOStarWars yes yes you are correct I was just saying it was possible

Sure, anything is possible, so is plausible and good writing, which this episode unfortunately lacked in order to force it's plot forward. I said it before and I'll say it again, this series needed a script doctor before they went to film.

The Lightsaber action was a treat. Definitely candy for my eyes. But the sweetness turns to sourness whenever the episode cuts to Mae… I was begging to the screen to let Darth Smiley kill her

She was okay in episode 1, but since then has turned out to be such a disappointment. Very curious to see what the show has planned for her, given how excited Leslie Headland is about this character... hope she proves us all wrong because so far I'm not impressed. Jecki was more interesting than her.

So basically the fight scene is the only worthwhile bit of the show so far? Do you want a second season of the show at this point?

Not with these current writers. Axe them and get some quality writers in, maybe get rid of Osha & Mae, and then I'd be for a second season.
