I totally understand and agree w/you👍
I feel as tho the “drug” user is being exploited. This content creator makes a “show” of those in despair- but it goes deeper- the content creator is a user himself… I also feel he is suffering from addiction .. he uses despair to make himself whole, this is a bad habit for humans to get into..
Anthony was my best friend after high school until like 2008. His family owned an auto shop he grew up well off. One of the best motocross riders I know. Racer but we did Fmx too. He’s only been like this for 6 years or so. Can’t tell you how upsetting this is to me.
If you hear from him. Let me know please. Tell him to call Victor.
We gotta pray for him.
Praying for your friend to find hope.I was addicted 12 years and now have 8 years clean.
I can relate to his disposition on life. Hope it feels less upsetting to know this is normal for a lot of people.... feeling this way from day to day

Fake stories? Why would he make up a story about getting a hernia while having sex? Lol. Sounded true to me

@@tylermitch7297 reread the comment….think. 🥾🤭
Man, he was speaking the truth about when a woman decides to leave. She made up her mind way back.
He was asked "are you planning on staying in this situation for the rest of your life?" As an addict, I can say that I never thought past the current day. One, three, five years NEVER even entered my mind.
I started to cry seeing him take that hit. It reminded me of that feeling of hitting the pipe…I related to some of his story. It’s a reminder of the deep pain that is felt within. The pain that no one sees or even knows about. SWUB is a powerful channel to bring awareness that addicts are people trying to cope the only way that they know how. Some of these coping skills are built from survival. Although drugs aren’t a healthy coping skill, it’s a destructive cycle that’s hard to come out of if you don’t know how to do it or where to even start. It becomes a part of our life, it becomes who you are.
Thank you Mark for this remarkable channel. You are a soundboard that is needed. You give people a voice.
By the Grace of God I will be celebrating 10 years clean/sober in June. I am thankful for my journey and life change I’ve made over the years. Its not always easy, but it’s possible.
Anthony, your life matters and I believe in you.🙏🏼

One thing that always trips me out is how big of a hit an addict can take and it doesn't even seem like it had any effect.
From the moment I saw the tub of ice cream drip its first drop I immediately got this horrible feeling mixed with sadness then I thought the pain this poor soul must feel constantly would make most others take an early exit
My heart genuinely feels for this man and I sincerely wish he could find some semblance of happiness in his life
And respect to Mark for ALWAYS letting the subject be them without interjecting his opinions or judgments every five seconds I am the same exact way I just want to see it from their point of view sadly though my mindset of just trying to understand the human being as a sole entity has made a lot of those I once considered friends stop talking to me
You are a truly honest person. See wealth in yourself. You have a soul behind those eyes. A better life is always worth working for.
He sees the terribleness of the situation in this aspect of life. He doesn't really want it. But sees no way out unfortunately
Anthony seems like he’d be cool to hang out with 🤷🏼♀️! Easy breezy!! Not that his situation is ok or anything but, I don’t feel the level of stress from him as some of the other people Mark interviews. If that makes sense😊

The saddest part of this was "Do people even have friends ?" This degree of loneness is difficult to watch. There is whole other world out there Anthony, you gotta try and put down the pipe.
What a gentle man, whom I have so much in common with. Were both about the same age, live in the same town, started drinking at the same age, drank alone as a kid, went hard-core in their 30's (albeit I've been medium core at many times before my 30's) and a penchant for meth. Luckily I binge and stop...all combined have used 4 months combined in my life...but it's done some serious damage to my personal and professional life. Anthony, if you ever read this I wish you the best...you're a genuine and awesome guy!
The ice cream and the torch. What a sight!
As hard as these interviews are to watch, reading the success stories in the comment section is so great..and hoping the interviewees read them to, and realize it can be done..they CAN recover..
The one thing to keep in mind is that the drugs and or the alcohol are merely symptoms of a greater problem.
Thank you! 👍😢💔
Mark, thanks for keeping it real and allowing them to use-Some people dont realize that while their opening up about their past trauma, due to their addiction-they may still need a substance to numb themselves. I would like to see more videos like this. Its actually eye-opening.

I sometimes feel jealousy of homeless people when I’m driving to work at 7 AM, sun shining bright, 65 degrees with a high of 78, and I see a homeless person walking down the street carrying some bag. I think, that person probably just took a hit of meth or fentanyl and probably feels great and has a whole nice warm and sunny day to do whatever they want. Meanwhile, I’ll be confined to my job location, indoors for the next 9 hours. By the time I get out, the sun will be heading down and I’ll be too tired to care or want to do anything anyways.

The experts say that one's emotional maturity stagnates at the age of a person's addiction. Anthony seems like a nice guy with an addiction problem. He fluctuated between seeming very immature to being fully mature. I just kept picturing how a small child would want to sit eating candy or sipping on a soda during an interview.
I agree with him about not wanting to drink alcohol after an opioid addiction. That's what I miss the most is savoring a good glass of wine. I'm absolutely turned off about all alcohol after getting addicted to prescription opioids. Now I take kratom daily but even looking at alcohol turns my stomach & its been a couple years since I weaned off methadone.

I liked this interview with Anthony, he was really making important points here, about being happy by not having to live up to someone else's expectations, because nothing will ever be enough for other people and it looks like he's had it with trying to please others instead of watching for himself, which looks like the reason why he can be happy and thank God of not having any children nor parents to take care of, knowing they have been the first to kick him out because he was not doing the "right" thing. I would have liked to listen more about what he has to say, about his parents, about women, about happiness, about hope, but all in all I liked this interview, I can relate to his way of thinking, although I think there are also other healthier ways to live with this philosophy of life
Growing up in a mining town in northeast Wyoming, I have met so many people suffering the same way this guy is. This reminds me of a lot of my childhood friends&friends older brothers I grew up around, so much so that it's painful for me to watch bc I know how real and severe his situation is--I've seen it many times before. Many people don't understand how easily and frequently people fall into this hole, the scary reality is most people are one or two left turns away from living this life. This was a guy who was between a rock and a hard place, and one decision changed and mangled his life long term. Life is fragile as hell and once it breaks it's nearly impossible to put all the pieces back together properly.

These people don't want help and use excuses for having a singular goal in life to please them selfs , most non-elite people's have a life of ups and downs but most choose not to make the situation worse by giving up and saying f it to life's responsibilities . Strength must be found within yourself someone can't give you that. You have to want it for yourself and have love and integrity enough not to put their families through all this hurt .
Love what you are doing Mark, I haven't watched all your videos yet(there are quite a few!), but I am curious, this is the first video I have seen where someone is using drugs during the interview besides smoking a joint, is that something that you are usually ok with? Thanks

@ Shane
I can confirm that it can be detected in neonates, infants, toddlers & young children who have been exposed. Exposure can be due to secondary inhalation, purposeful administration, via breast feeding & hand to mouth contamination. Some children have tested positive ( urine testing )having attended emergency care & drop in clinics with an unwell baby/ child, most presenting with respiratory problems. History taking is more than important on admission. ( Some who have previously thought to be SIDS have tested positive when a case history has been closely scrutinized & flagged) In utero the problems are far more reaching & require immediate intervention at birth.
It could be different in adults.
