This is what I've been telling my husband that I want. Its came out beautiful ! Your husband is amazingly talented. You both are. The savings on installation by doing it yourselves , and it came out perfect. You should be proud !
Thank you so much! You should totally go for it and install a stone backsplash in your kitchen! Show your husband this video and tell him we believe in him 😆
Ah yes but the cabinets are original to the house, and in good shape so no need to change them 😄 so working with what I have there. But what color cabinets do you like??
Wasn’t too sure about the stone, but it definitely changed the esthetic of the kitchen in a beautiful way; and at the end when you said to seal it so it can be cleaned made sense. And for those who say it would be tough to clean, I feel the same about real marble and granite- the maintenance is the same.
Ahh thank you for saying that I appreciate it. Mid-application of this type of DIY it will look rough and one will question if they made the right decision - but sticking with it to see it through will be worth it for the end result. Thank you so much for stopping by!
Technically you could, but that’s not what I was going for with this reno, I really am aiming to install good quality materials and put a lot of attention to the fine details (but I do love a good spray paint DIY and I’ve done a few on decor for easy updates! Its just not something I’d so on a fixture)
What is the grout color you finally chose and also the link to actual faucet please? I have a french style home and was looking for some french style kitchen remodeling
Absolutely! All the details on the faucet, pot filler and other bits is listed here: chelseaclarke.co/before-doing-a-kitchen-remodel/#key-design-elements-in-my-kitchen-remodel and the grout color we used in the end is “bone” by Mapei.
@@marybethvalente8251 thank you so much! The cabinets aren't white, they are a warm cream. Quartz info is here: chelseaclarke.co/before-doing-a-kitchen-remodel/#key-design-elements-in-my-kitchen-remodel

Love the stone wall! My nope is the cabinet color. I know you’re doing modern French country and as that goes it’s lovely.

Thank you! It took a long time but happy with how it turned out 😅
Looks beautiful! 👍🏼
Thank you 🙏
Regarding the pot filler, couldn't you spray paint the one you already had?

Nice for a fireplace but not practical for a kitchen. If I can’t wipe and clean it down I don’t want it.
Hi Jennifer, its sealed! So if anything gets splashed on it, it just wipes right off :)
I ❤❤❤❤❤ it!
love it -- what is the name of the stone again from rock ridge?
Alamo sandstone :)
