Nice clear video and explanation of a job that is confined and fiddly, and taking the tension off the hub seems like it's the key to success. I have two of these waiting to go onto mine, I've been delaying it because I thought cross member may have to be dropped. Thanks, not worried now.
Are these suppswd to be greased? I ddint see anywhere for a fitting when i replaced mine. Only a few thousand miles and not even a year later and my rearr passenger side is bad again. I noticed the boots seem like they have no grease in them.
If the bolt is rusted and seized up inside the bushing, you will replace the part together with the bolt. Otherwise, replace only the bolt. Note: There are two adjuster bolts on each side. Location: Rear cross stay & rear cross stay arm toe in.
@@saabmastertech5852 My mechanic wants to cut out the parts and replace entire control arms + toe in thing. The funny thing is the bolts costs 1/2 the price of 2 control arms and 2 toe in/cross member Seems a little excessive to me, some people say you can "just" get the bolt out and replace the bushing only.

What size is that wrench used for inside bolt
Inner bolt. E18 socket & 18mm wrench. Outer bolt. E20 socket & 21mm wrench.

No. Manufacturing defect or poor quality part.

What are the signs of a bad rear upper control arm?
Worn out rear upper control arms will wear out rear tires from inside & with some abnormal noise on rough roads.
