Acadian and Beaumonts were separate makes, even this Acadian commercial says it's available at both Buick and Pontiac dealers....It's a Separate GM brand with it's own badging and name plates and model names. Both Beaumont and Acadian are NOT Pontiacs. ua-cam.com/video/D8EBxPWDrPA/v-deo.html
Only, fitting . These cars not to be marketed in the USA ! Just a re badged Malibu . Just glad that we Here in The USA , got to enjoy the true Power and Great Look of our Real PONTIAC GTO ! he real Spirit of PONTIAC
It's not actually a Pontiac, they were sold by Pontiac and Buick dealers, it was it's own separate brand with it's own separate emblem and badging, it doesn't say Pontiac anywhere on the car, just like the Acadian isn't a Pontiac either.
If you scroll down Moron, you'll see that I'm not the only person that made this comment.....I've uploaded a few Acadian Commercials, they are GM cars available from Pontiac AND Buick Dealers. It's a separate make Moron, it's not a Pontiac.
He is correct. The Beaumont was even called a Pontiac by plenty of folks in Canada at the time, but it was sold as a separate brand. Many small towns in Canada had only one GM dealer, and the places with Pontiac-Buick needed a cheaper car to sell. Ford did the same thing with the Meteor.
Pontiac didn’t “rip off” the Chevelle. They had nothing to do with it. There’s a whole story to what went on if you bother to research it. Beaumont’s weren’t Pontiac’s. Beaumont was a stand alone name. They were only sold at Pontiac and Buick dealerships.
That was one of the least effective ads I’ve ever seen. No info about the car and not very complementary filming. I hope GM hired another PR firm after that dud.
Americans looking at Canadian, Brazilian, and Australian versions of American cars is alternate-universe stuff.
I know brother
It's a 1969 Beaumont, not a '68 AND they're not Pontiacs (despite being sold at Pontiac dealerships throughout Canada).
NickeyChevelle not a Pontiac? Says who? You? Lol hilarious
NickeyChevelle they are so Pontiac stupid fuck
Get educated Einstein......en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beaumont_(automobile)

A rare variant of the Chevelle, never sold in the US!
At your Pontiac “dealer’s”(?)
Cool! Beaumont should be a marquee in the US through those years too
I have been around a long time, and don't remember the Beaumont....only Hugh Beaumont, the dad on tv show Leave it to Beaver 👍
It’s from down under
I dig it, solid, boss man!!
Thats one beautiful Canadian Muscle brother
One of the ads we're gonna use in _Teen Laugh Takeover_ for the "Something Real" segments.
This is from a CFL on CBC telecast.
Does the CFL have it's own Super Bowl equivalent?
@@JasonDelarosa2000 Yes.
It's Called The Grey Cup.
Only, fitting . These cars not to be marketed in the USA ! Just a re badged Malibu . Just glad that we Here in The USA , got to enjoy the true Power and Great Look of our Real PONTIAC GTO !
he real Spirit of PONTIAC
It’s not a Pontiac at all. Beaumont is a stand alone name. And in Canada we got the rarest and best looking of that body style…the Sport Deluxe.
Sold in the US as the Chevy Chevelle and Chevelle Malibu.
Not a Pontiac.
Correct, just sold at Pontiac dealerships in Canada.
’69 Chevelle, right?

Yep, exactly.....I myself own a Meteor
As Doug DeMuro might say.
Well, of course, Pontiac wasn’t bothering about the new model - they just ripped off Chevelle!😂🔥🔥

The idea was to show how attractive the car was...they highlighted the 2 and 4 door hardtop models
Split grill = Pontiac
Actually, it is GM's Canada only Acadian Beaumont
