Based on the best-selling Shoei Neotec and Neotec 2 but with extra improvements, the Shoei Neotec 3 offers a plethora of great features. It offers P/J Homologation and ECE R22/06 standard certification with a new and improved centre locking mechanism. Newly designed cheek pads extended to the back of the head to closely fit the rider's neck for superior comfort and fit. A noise isolator covers the gap around the chin strap to prevent wind from entering from the bottom and the inner lining is ultra-soft to the touch with high absorption and quick-drying fabric. It comes with a Shoei QSV-2 sun visor - which is 5mm longer than the QSV-1 for greater coverage against sun glare. It offers quality comparable to the European sunglasses standard EN1836 with high optical qualities and little distortion. The sun visor mechanism is ultra-smooth yet durable, with a stopper function with a click at the fully open position, preventing it from dropping. It is also ultra-simple to use whilst wearing gloves. The Neotec 3 comes equipped with a CNS-3C clear visor with a centre-locking mechanism - designed exclusively for flip-front helmets. The CNS-3 is shaped with both upper ends bent towards the shell for greater unity and cohesion, preventing water and wind from entering the shell. The centre locking mechanism keeps the visor opening smooth with window beading for airtight sealing. It also comes equipped with a clear Pinlock insert for even clearer vision. The Shoei Neotec 3 features an even more sophisticated ventilation system than its predecessors. The lower air intake system offers two resealable intake vents with a filter to prevent bugs from entering the helmet. The upper air intake features a step with the shell and base parts and is simple to operate even with Winter gloves. The vents lead to air channels inside the helmet. The top-air outlet has two exhausts for optimal air circulation and efficient ventilation. In addition to a noise isolator reducing wind entry (and therefore noise), the Neotec 3's newly designed cheek pads offer extra volume at the bottom to minimise the gap around the neck and extended back of the head to improve contact with the neck and prevent wind from entering for superior comfort, and also superior levels of quietness. The micro ratchet closure system is ultra-secure and durable. It is adjustable and easy to operate while wearing gloves. This is a newly developed micro ratchet that is more compact. Made from highly durable stainless steel, it locks when two claws are tightened and can be released only by raising the level to a specific angle or more. The newly developed micro ratchet is made from high-strength, high-elasticity, and high-performance fibre knitted together in the newly downsized strap for an improved fit while keeping security despite downsizing. The mounting of the communication system on the Neotec 3 is ultra-compact - more than ever before - and, as such, features a greater unity with the helmet shell. Each part has a cover, and it does not affect the aesthetic, shape or aerodynamics of the Neotec 3. The base parts located on both sides of the shell reduce the vertical height, reducing wind noise. The units can be installed on both sides of the shell, and a battery in the space provided between the shell and liner at the back of the head. This made it easier to remove and fix the cover for the base parts and is designed so the charging port for the battery is placed on the back of the head so this can be charged while the helmet is on a flat surface. The impact-absorbing liner is separated into the main (top and main liners) side and the cheek. It utilises various densities for the most efficient impact-absorbing performance and offers superior comfort. As you would expect from Shoei, the Neotec3 features the premium AIM shell (Advanced Integrated Matrix) which offers high performance yet is ultra-lightweight and superior in rigidity and elasticity based on a complex structure of strong glass fibres and organic fibres. I.e., it's ultra-strong and ultra-safe. It adheres to ECER 22:06 safety standards and is super-lightweight for outstanding comfort without compromising on protection. Available in a wide range of colours.

A smaller visor cracking space for air would have been very beneficial. Oh well can't think why they thought that was unecessary.
If it had been able to be retrofitted to our Neo2 would have been perfect.

Had a Neotec 1 and went to get a 3. Passed on it however since the fit just wasn't as comfortable as I expected it to be.

Warning to all. Replaced my super comfortable from Day 1 neotec 2 with the same size neotec 3. After 12 gours of wear I'm finding it painful to wear for more than an hour. Don't presume it will fit well just becaise the 2 was so good out of the box.

It looks great but it would be nice if the weight could somehow be paired down a bit.
Is it possible to remove the communications bit at all if not required, or to even buy the helmet without it and what sort of weight might that save if so?
    Great video thanks. 😃👍

Comms! I use a Neotech 2 with SRL2. Shoei have made sure that the SRL2 doesn’t fit the new helmet, that means I need a new comms system. That just about doubles the price of changing to the Neotech 3. Thanks Shoei, for nothing

Is the visor removal easier than the Neotec 2? The 1 was easy, but the 2 is a pain to swap.

We well do some comparisons and do a video soon but to be honest with these two helmets it’s personal preference as they are similar. I must admit, I prefer the visor system on this, I feel it has a better seal along the top and it’s so easy to whip on and off (Video on this coming) Thanks

Watch their warranty (Shoei) and avoid matt. They say its normal to discolour and refused to replace. Terrible to deal with and for a £600 helmet a complete disappointment

I’ve got three matte Shoei’s, never had a problem with the finish. A warm wet rag and it looks new again. I love the rubber like coating vs paint that scratches.

Hi there, I have spoken to all the people who ride that sort of bike here and they recommend the Shoei Gt-Air 2 or a HJC RPHA 71 helmet for a full face option and make sure you fit the chin skirt. Sometimes an extended nose curtain can make all the difference to noise (It has made my Arai much better) Flip front wise...You cant do much better than the Neotec 2/3 and another recommendation is the Nolan N100-5 which are great value for money. Schuberth is another option but they are at a different price point.

Spent a fortune in the summer buying two Neotec 2 with Senna. Nowhere near as good as Neotec gtair ventilation is terrible and the visor is rubbish. Unfortunately with these things you don’t know until you buy and wear.

@@t-rex4211 Thanks for the response. I've seen some notes like that as well but, at least on this topic, my visor has stayed raise and I've tested as fast as 55mph. I haven't had an issue with that. Today, my wind noise was really bad. I think the visor may not have been seated properly so I re-installed it tonight.

    • @t-rex4211

@@RamblinManMoto Glad it stayed up. Ahh just twigged, the neo is a Shoei, I was thinking of the Schubert that’s got the visor problems. They both run senna intercoms. Yeah yours could be a visor issue with noise. Check the air coming up from below, seal that off and that’ll help. I’m still looking for a quiet lid but no immediate hurry. 30 db earplugs helps 😉
