I am not entirely sure the model is correct: in primis I have never seen one IRL. Also, the entire EW model has issues I talked about in the past. That being said, it is imo quite believable. I have an article somewhere where I tackled most of the issue, but I've never finished it.
@@FlyAndWire yes its unfortunate how basic the modelling is, I haven't been able to find any information on whether that mode actually *does* anything at all unfortunately - its quite relevant today for once! :P
Thanks for this. I haven't read enough about the AOJ mode, this has been enlightening.
Everything is fantastic save for the pacing of the text-to-speech. I'd be willing to voluntarily VO some of these going forward if you need a human
I'm very glad they are modeling the radar correctly, and now jammers will be able to protect more than just the jamming aircraft

Nuh uh
Great! Thank you for the examples and work :)
Awesome vid super informative 👍
How do you engage the APQ jammer?
Do you know if the mig-21s program ii mode (the group one) actually works differently at all to regular ecm jamming?
No, I'm not familiar with the MiG-21. That being said, EW is an extremely poor aspect of DCS, I wouldn't expect too much tbh.

Technically, it is a quick test, but it requires two humans. I have no friends, so I can't test myself ( /s - my problem is my schedule).
Is 21 jammer in pulse mode or is pilot switching it on-off in continuous?
Real blinking jammers are much, much faster than what I portrayed. This is simply the AI toggling the ECM.
Are you using a text-to-speech software?
Yep, it's a way of saving time due to messy RL.
