I bought my 16y old guy Saltiga 22 slow pitch reel 😂and taken him out on 3 trips 😅😅boy he's gone crazy with this reel coz he's caught pretty big, badass. Yellow fin tuna(15-25kg) and even a 7ft black tip reef shark. This shark 🦈 had crazy power OMG 😲. THANKS to its (smooth as butter) stunning drag power. This Daiwa Saltiga 22 is a beast...believe me its drag is as perfect as that of a "jigging master YF tuna special 3000H overhead reel" No regrets on having a Daiwa Saltiga 22 slow jigging reel.
Just be careful with these narrow spools , the drag force changes quickly when the line spool diameter changes. Yes it's easier for your manual line-lay control with a narrow spool but keep in mind your drag changes with the change in circumference. If you deep drop it has a very big difference in resistance. TBH , I prefer wide spools just because of this dilemma you have to deal with. Half the circumference doubles your drag force , don't forget.
Jikes, you can buy a boat for the price of that reel. I'm not doubting the quality of it but you can buy a Chinese clone for about $100 USD that would do 95% the same job as this and be more than good enough for regular hoby fishermen.
Can we pile some money together for a good cause so I can afford a torium 16pg? I can't afford anything jigging. Thanks. No worries if u guys laugh at this. Was worth a shot

Studio Ocean Mark reels are better. Lever drag > star drag
I have the Studio Ocean Mark Blue Heaven OGM BHL50VII hi S2T-BG (22) and absolutely love it.
