How I miss seeing these on the road, when I was a kid in east London in the 1970s these Scammell tippers where everywhere there were literally hundreds of them at work.
loved the Routeman! till dad upgraded to a Volvo f88.both great lorries in their day!
Sounds like a 680 leyland engine looks great good old workhorses they were nice to see this one has survived

I had one with a 220 Rolls in it, absolute pig, noisy as hell, was glad when it got stolen and I bought a 2300 Daf to replace it.
