Volvo 740 HVAC Box Rebuild - Heater Matrix, A/C Evaporator Replacement and Blending door Seals

Today, I reseal and rebuild the 740's heater box with new seals, a new heater matrix and evaporator, and a fresh blower motor. I also talk about how to test your crusty old vacuum motors. Nice, fresh heat and air conditioning for all.

Would it be possible to get a complete plastic house and put in a fan and evaporator and put the whole thing in the trunk of a coupe 740. And then pull the vents out behind the back seats? There wouldn't be any controls and no heater core but that's not really a problem as long as I get cool air for me and the children in rush hour.

Great video! Our kids have Volvo wagons 745T and 945T and within about 12 months of each other both heater cores started leaking. Did you also do a video on removing that whole heater box? I could not find it.

You have to replace all the soft seals and get adapters for the service ports.
