No thank you. I've been a 240 Volvo mechanic for 22 years and would never attempt such a task. On the Wonderful 240 series there are "chain-saw" methods to replace the heater core and the blower motor that save so much time. After the 240, Volvo stopped making cars built with integrity, just like everyone else.
They (volvo) kinda overbuild things . Probably removed 40 bolts screws and clips.and still not close to getting at the core .had tio get 48 beers , just to compose myself. Was thinking about pulling out one of my favorite tools for jobs like this ..... a f...ing hammer. Weeee heeee heeee!!!
Okey i got you buddy. Make sure all the sqrews are lose around the heater core plastic box. Then take normal knife and remove the silicone around the plastic box all the way around the whole box then it will losen upp and be easy to take off.
Was sooo stoked to see that this had been done in 2015 in the service records of my new ‘90 745 turbo 👍
Nice job, very clean...I did mine a few years back. 2 day job-kicked my butt. It just started leaking again a couple weeks ago
SV did you do a used OEM one or a new aftermarket?
Nicely done gentlemen.

What a fucking nightmare 😳 cool video though
3.25 - Beautiful cat.
Epic. Huge. Awesome.
wish all mechanics were that quick
Any tools used other than torx, screwdriver and socket tool?
Lucas Kroon nope. Basic set out tools, longer reaching torx is a big help though. The screws along the top of the heater box are tricky.
.....fuck, is this about the same amount of work in a 940? Guessing it is
Yes it is
How much for you and your buddy to come to Virginia and do this. Got food and beer? Lol.
Any advice on how to get the middle air vents out? I'm struggling with those and then getting the bit in front of the vacuum mixer out
