Onesies are an absolute must! You’ll be shocked at how many outfit changes they need on any given day! Zippered ones are easiest for middle of the night changes. I’ve got 2 boys, 3 and 5. And if I could offer any unsolicited advice it would be to soak in every minute! The nights and days are long but the years truly fly by! So excited for you 💙
Lots of cuteness in this video! I suggest you set up the baby bath in the kitchen for the first few months, cos honestly you're not going to want to be getting down onto the floor and leaning into the bathtub. So much easier to do at bench height 😊
The best things for night time are sleep sacs - little nightgowns w elastic or drawstring bottoms. Slide up, change diaper, slide back down, the drawstring keeps it from riding up so they’re little legs and feet stay covered, but they can wiggle and kick inside
Sleep sacks and nightgowns make baby care so much easier ! Hatch sounds are amazing too! Also, Check the ingredients of your diaper you select. Some are not good!
The stroller situation really depends on your lifestyle! If you enjoy going on walks I would definitely recommend a stroller with a seat that reclines because it’s not recommended that infants sit in car seats for prolonged periods of time. I would totally skip a bassinet for a stroller tho - the window for use is incredibly short. I lived for early postpartum walks, baby would be calm\sleeping in the stroller and I could get some fresh air and clear my head!
Watching this while holding my 2 week old baby😊 I loved the nesting phase 😊! Now that baby is here, I've found onesies super useful. And you can never have too many cotton cloths! Also, I doubled up in my cooking in the last weeks of my pregnancy to put in my freezer. Good luck! ❤
I used the Chicco infant car seat and loved it. But for the stroller we have the chicco corso that you can snap the car seat into and also have the option of a toddler seat. Really loved it. Seems to be just as big folded as the stroller you have now.
I thought I was gonna love these especially the kimono style gownsbut I was over the hype real quick lol just stuck to onesies & zipper swaddles. Don't bother with Velcro swaddles it's loud & annoying, will wake baby.
You're going to be doing quite a few loads of laundry. Onesies, burp cloths, night gowns and sleepers are good to have in the begining. So excited to see baby ❤
Hi from the UK, I love your video’s they’re always first class, I’ve watched your channel for a long time now and am sure that both you and Christopher will make wonderful parents
Hello, the amount of clothes for newborn is like for two days. 😅 The best are onesies with zipper 😊 and also babyseat its just for car or short trip to store, its for sure not good for the baby to spend there more time then needed. Recommend to get stroller, where baby can lay down. I am using it all day long.
As my babies got bigger and could sit up I loved having a cheap umbrella stroller that I could just leave in the car all the time. So light and compact. It's not a replacement for a good stroller but nice for just keeping handy in the car.
What a lovely video with all these sweet small baby clothes. The carrier looks great and very handy. Try to enjoy this time so much, I think it is a very beautiful time. You two are going to be great parents 🤍🩵
We used the evenflo stroller where you could use the infant car seat secured in. it also comes with a bassinet type of stroller seat that can adjust upright for the baby to sit in as they outgrow the infant car seat. Very convenient especially in the first few months
It’s so lovely to see you organising as it reminds me of having my little boy all those 4 years ago (which seems like forever). You put a smile on my face today ❤ thank you
Instead of buying mittens for the nails so baby boy doesn't scratch himself, I would use socks on his hands. Works just as well. I did that with mine. I didn't see them, but I may have missed it. Honestly, everything is a hit or miss. What you have shown so far looks good. My babies are 21, 19, and 19. You will do great. Somedays you will question yourself, somedays will be like why did I think that? Noone is a perfect parent. I had postpartum depression it was so rough the first few months with my oldest. Hugs you got this Ashlynne! 🥰
So fun! My kiddos are now 15 and 9, with my 15 year old, we had the UPPA baby vista with all the attachments and it lasted her until she was 3/4 and not needing a stroller anymore. It was a great stroller, but when I was having my 9 year old, we decided to skip over the stroller and exclusively baby wear. This worked out so much better than always having a bulky stroller to tote around. My 9 year old sat up, crawled, walked, and potty trained faster because she was worn. Happy nesting and all the good vibes for you and your family!
For both of my kids, we got the Graco stroller that has a spot for the car seat/carrier to snap into. It’s a bit of a bulkier stroller but it works from the time their newborns until their older (my 5 year old can still sit comfortably in the stroller)
We used that car seat and caddy! We loved it! We also bought a Chicco viaro stroller at the same time and honestly, barely used it. I hated it. Ended up selling it. I used the caddy over the viaro bcuz it was lighter and so much easier to use. The newborn insert for the car seat will come out after a certain point and baby will be in the car seat for some time. We def got our use out of the caddy. Sold them when we were finished using them. After that, we bought an ultra light foldable stroller- the Summer Infant 3D compact folding stroller. We used it for several years! It was awesome and folded down super compact! Excellent for travel and to take with you if you decide to fly anywhere bcuz it’s so small! We ended up selling that when we were done with it too! Later when it was time to upgrade the infant car seat, we went with the Chicco NextFit Zip convertible seat. Awesome car seat! Easy to clean too, which is essential at that age and stage. Now we are onto the Chicco high back booster seat. Chicco has such amazing products. As far as clothes go, buy as you go along. I’m glad I didn’t buy a ton in advance. Babies and kids don’t need as much as we think they do. Babies grow at such different rates. Carters brand runs super small. We loved Old Navy & Target zip sleepers. Less is more. Everyone has different experience, but swaddling was a saving grace for us. Later, a weighted sleep sack worked wonders for my daughter to sleep extended periods of time. Black and white books early on for heavy contrast reading for baby are a must. Reading to baby from an early start is so important. I’m so glad I did- my daughter loves reading and learning now and I swear it was the time I devoted so early on. Godspeed, Mama!
We had a similar stroller setup and that’s all we needed. We did have an additional carseat base for the second car though. And then a baby bjorn for those more adventurous days.
So excited for you! I have a 5 month old myself, it’s such a blessing❤ A friendly advice: If you place the backseat mirror on the middle seat instead, it is safer in case of an accident. It may also be easier to see baby when the sun screen is down. Didn’t find out myself before baby was a couple of weeks old. Good luck, you’ll do great!❤
Your first of many loads of baby laundry 😊 A nice stroller is a must...we only bought the Bob Revolution and it was amazing. We still use it with our 3rd child and he's 6 years old (he has special needs).
Amazing video, so glad to see you nesting for the Baby. I actually have some tips on strollers, pretty much everybody in our neighbourhood used the Maxi Cosi brand for their versatility and different modules to change when they grow. Also you might he able to look into Hauck alpha high chair, we still have one around and they are amazing to use and adjust.
@@AshlynneEatonit might be easier to keep that stroller base in the car, then get another if you you want to do neighborhood walks. Although we had one with a bassinet that was so cool because you could do diaper changes and they could lay flat.
I have been so busy lately that a few months. I used to do marathons of your vlogs and aaaaaa what did I miss!! Congratulations to the both of you 🥰 I am on my second trimester ☺️
Love my Chicco Corso stroller! It's pretty compact, handles some rougher surfaces well and the seat cam flip front/back facing and fold down almost flat similar to a bassinet. Plus your carseat would clip into the stroller attachment if you wanted it to.
If you want a stroller for longer use during the day, you should look into the baby zen yo-yo. It’s a bit expensive but folds up so small and can be used from newborn if you get the bassinet attachment.
I love watching how you get ready for baby! It's an exciting time! I have a one-and-almost- half year old and I've kept her wardrobe minimalistic as well. With just enough clothes to last 10 days, and a few nice outfits, it's enough. As exciting as it is to get it all ready, you'll also learn as you go which it's work and which baby won't like or need. For example our daughter absolutely hated to be swaddled, even as a newborn she liked to have her hands free to play (she's always been a busy bee), she loved the carrier tho; also, she never used bibs since she didn't start teething til she was a year old, so drooling wasn't something she's ever done. Things like that you can't predict how your child will be, it's still good to have those things and to try them. I'd you don't end up using them, you can always re-gift them later to someone who needs them and so still fulfill that item's purpose. All that said, this video brings back all the memories of the last trimester and emotions attached to it. 😊 A piece of advice: after the 3 month outfits, dont feel the need to fill all the gaps for the bigger outfits, because you'll find things later that you'll love, and also, it's exciting to go clothes shopping as your baby grows...leave some excitement for later as well. Otherwise you'll find yourself with too many clothes if you do buy everything you need now
So excited for you and hubby to welcome your baby boy. Lots of zip up onesies in the first 3-6mths, 3-4 baby towels, endless swaddles (double up as burp cloths, floor mats, blanket, can use as a cover up when breastfeeding). A good functional diaper bag is always useful. Backpack faux leather is the best. Easy to clean. My main tips as a mum when I had my lil boy who’s now 5 🤩. Enjoy nesting, this is the most wonderful time ❤xx
As you want to keep it minimalistic, I'd recommend to have two onesies per day and that for at least 6-7 days if you want to wash once a week. And if you need more, keep in mind that you or your helpers can buy clothes really quickly if necessary. And I'd also recommend to not buy that much in advance for the the bigger sizes. Just wait for what you'll feel comfortable with and what your baby likes and then you can buy step by step while your baby grows 😊 And for the stroller, I think this setup could be enough for the first few months, but keep in mind that babies shouldn't be sitting in a car seat for too long (max. 1 hour). So if you want to go an walks with your baby, I'd recommend using a stroller with a bassinet or using a baby wrap/carrier if your baby likes being carried around. But thats also a decision you can make when baby is already there. 😉
Our little one is turning one next week. As for the stroller, we have a big fancy baby jogger stroller that I've loved. And then we got a Zoe Tour+ for travel and honestly I try to use it instead of the big fancy one now because it's so easy. Highly reccomended
We had a stroller/car seat set up like that as well, and I absolutely LOVED it! It was so nice for walks, shopping, etc to have a light weight frame to put the car seat into. As far as needing another stroller, I think it depends on what you’d like to be able to do. A jogging stroller with larger tires was a must for us so we could push it through grass and other terrains, but we couldn’t use that until she was a little bigger (we didn’t have a car seat adapter for ours). Something else to keep in mind if you want other kids in the future would be a single to double stroller. That way you aren’t having to repurchase a double stroller later on. I’m expecting my second in May, loving keeping up with your journey! ♥️
In my experience, baby clothing often ran small, so my children and my friends’ kids found their babies wore a whole size larger, if not two. The newborn clothing lasted for such a short amount of time and by the time they were three months, just leaving the newborn stage, they were in 6 month clothing. I know every baby is different and grows at a different pace, but I’ve known lots of parents to have experienced the same. Also, 100% onesies are what babies live in for the first several months. They’re an absolute necessity. All of the fancy expensive outfits were worn just once.
We had the same system. Worked amazing! You won’t need any other stroller for now until baby is bigger. We had a stroller that came with the car seat and hardly ever used it because it was so big/clunky. Can’t wait until your birth vlog!
Hi Ashlynne! I have a 2.5 year old and a 7 month old - your stroller setup will be great for the first 4-6 months, it's so nice to clip the carseat in and go. But I highly recommend getting a travel stroller after, one that folds with one hand and is compact. Many different brands. They can fit into the overhead compartment on airplanes and hardly take up any space. Easy to take anywhere. We've preferred something like that over a larger stroller for older babies and toddlers! 😊 congrats on baby boy 💙
You should be fine with that stroller for about 6 months! It’s definitely nice to move them into a sit-up seat after that. My daughter LOVED the stroller and we took long daily walks, so it was worth it for us. My son on the other hand hated the car seat and stroller, so I was constantly baby-wearing. He didn’t really start entertaining the idea of a stroller until after 1, but now he loves it as an almost 2 year old. Baby will tell you what they like 😂
We have the KeyFit Caddy, and we loved it for walks for the first few months! We ended up getting a running stroller from FB Marketplace a little later once our baby could sit independently. 😊
When he’s older you can always purchase an umbrella stroller for quick trips. They’re cheap but work. I had to get one when I was pregnant with my second baby bc I had to contain my toddler when I went to my obgyn appts and it was small enough to fit into the small appt rooms!
I’m scheduled to deliver on Sunday the 17th and watching this for motivation to finish up the last few little tasks (including packing for the hospital 🤗). Wishing you a safe last few weeks of pregnancy and delivery!! ♥️ We’re almost there!
Always LOVE watching your videos. I loved how you referred back to Canada and the “soother” I live in Canada and definitely wish I could shop for baby items at Target.
Ashlynne, Im so excited for you and praying everything goes well with your delivery when the time comes! All the details will work themselves out and you will learn as you go along of course, baby will have all he needs ❤ my daughter is three, and we just recently lost twins at ten weeks. Motherhood is such a gift, and I can’t wait to follow this new journey with you. Im in Winston & was born in Charlotte, so I feel super close to you!
Preparing for my first one as well, been told a baby should not be in a car seat for more than 1 hour at a time so would have that in mind regarding strolers.
Re: the stroller and car seat - we had a newborn in the summer months and we loved the Chicco keyfit 30 for easily getting baby in and out of the car, but found that we wanted more sun coverage for walks (no sunscreen for newborns unfortunately). We went with the Chicco Bravo stroller which can be a frame stroller (kind of like the caddy that you have) or can have the seat on when baby is older. The canopy on the bravo gave our newborn full coverage from the sun when we used it with the keyfit, and now baby sits in the seat. Might be something to consider in NC. Very best wishes to you and your growing family!
For the first few months the stroller setup was great.. but once baby wanted to see the world it didn't really work for us.. gota jogging stroller around 6mos and that's what I've been using for years and got the carseat attachment
I have been full-time babysitting my granddaughter since she was 3 months old, she almost 17 months now and onesies and footed jammies have been the best choices for clothing.
Thanks for taking us along on organizing your prep for baby - so exciting and fun. My experience with clothing was that I had a 10 lb baby so went right to 3 months and up so newborn was never used. At baby showers, i always buy 12-18 mos or even 18-24 mos as rhose sizes tend to eb given less ans will be needed soon.
This is such a lovely video! I am currently 30 weeks pregnant with my first baby and I plan to do something very similar after my baby shower in 2 weeks 💛 Your videos are always so soothing to watch xx
Watching this was so nostalgic to me and reminded me of my first baby who was also a boy! It goes by so fast 😭 Try to enjoy the that first year. It seemed to go on forever with my first and now I’m on my fourth and I can’t slow it down! I know that’s so cliche to say. With clothes, I would say less is more! The first few months sleepers are the most practical and when they are less squishy you start branching out more into specific outfits. And also, I don’t want to overstep, but something I’m so glad I researched before having a boy would be that boy-specific surgery they always ask you about. I’m praying for you and truly so excited for you ❤
Hi! I'm 3 weeks postpartum! I tried to only get a few sleepers to stay minimal but I didn't realize how many blowouts newborns have! We went out and bought more because we couldn't keep up with laundry then he grew out of newborn 4 days later.... 😅😂
We use the nose frida every day and my baby is 13 months old now. You can buy replacement filters and it's not gross. I'd wait on the other stroller until you see if you are stroller person. Some people really end up not using them and opt for baby wearing most of the time.
I’m sooooo excited for you!!! You look amazing!!! In terms of mama advice, I would honestly purchase the bare minimum of what you think you will need. Every mother/baby/father is different and what works for one family or what one swears by, another mama will say wasn’t needed. Once you get into a groove, you’ll know what you need and it’s always an Amazon click away 😉! Theres an overwhelming overabundance of baby products out there (as I’m sure you’re well aware) and most is unnecessary even from a non minimalist perspective. In the same vein, I wouldn’t purchase another stroller yet. You have a good 6 months that he will be great in there. Again, I would wait because when and if it’s time to purchase, you’ll have more of an idea of what kind you’ll need. The only stroller we needed for my daughter (beyond 36 mos) was an umbrella stroller. She disliked being in the stroller and would rather walk LOL. So… you never know what your baby/toddler is going to love/hate. 😅
Started singing along when I heard XO Macenna's vlog intro song 😄 Love them both, btw. Can't wait to see baby boy! ❤ Praying for a smooth and safe delivery 😊
The key fit travel system is what I got from my baby shower! It is the stroller caddy like you have but also has attachments. It’ll last for a very long time. Check it out!
I have 2 under 2. Our most used items: zip sleepers, boogie picker, Dr browns pacis, boon nursh bottles, bouncer, playmat, 2 blankets, machine washable bibs, owlet sock, monitor, aquafor, carrier, car seat/stroller, vitamin d drops, car monitor, angel bath seat, teething wafers, messy eater stain remover, swing, halo sleepsacks, Merlin, humidifier, bottle rack, car seat spiral, nail filer, hatch sound machine, bassinet, mini cooler, portable pump, dry bags, stroller fan. Not worth it: diaper bag (get a backpack), burp cloths (use the Muslin washcloths), nuk pacis (not good for oral development, baby hated them), gowns (too cold), 4moms swing (traditional is better), wipe warmer (unnecessary), frida nose sucker (boogie picker or ball is easier), Dr browns bottles (they leak & too many parts), swaddle blankets (not warm), nursing pads (don’t need unless an oversupplied) baby shusher (overrated), bath soap (un scented only), baby detergent (free & gentle works), baby towels (regular are fine and bigger).
I recommend some "big" tshirts (like 12m) - life saver once he reaches the constant drooling stage at 3 or 4 months. My baby loves her diaper and tshirt days at home and we are easily going through 2-3 shirts a day. You also will want some saline spray with the Frida boogie sucker.
I think that stroller would be fine for the first 4 or 5 months. After that I found my son loved to be in more of a seat where he could sit up and look around more for longer walks & outings. For short outings that would be fine though! Having the bath on your kitchen counter for the first few months will be a lifesaver for your backs rather than leaning over the tub. Sleepers for sure are the go to. My son is 10 months and I'm still keeping him in them when we are at home, then you don't have to worry about socks falling off! 1 piece rompers are the best too, so cute and easy! We had about 6 or 7 sleepers for each age range but my biggest advice is remember that you can get stuff delivered to you within a day or 2 if you need them once he is here. If you find you are doing laundry a bit too much for your liking then you can always order a few more sleepers or burp cloths. I had to do laundry often anyways because my son blew out often so it worked to not have too many.
We must be due about the same time! Im almost 35 weeks with my 7th baby. You'll find your groove with what you need and use. I always say go with way less than you think you will need because we are always a few minutes from walmart or a 2 day order from amazon if we do need something. I have an infant car seat, and a wrap carrier, a small diaper bag (I will have 2 in diapers), 1 small box of nb diapers, 10 footie pjs, 2 hats, 2 light muslin blankets, 2 warmer blankets, 1 pack of burp clothes, a nose frida and a little seat to set baby in while I shower or cook and thats it. Ive never had a stroller that the car seat clips into, but a good carrier is essential!
I think you'll love the chicco caddy I have that car seat, it's great. I should have got the caddy instead of a separate stroller. The baby sleeps so much you hate to take them out of the carseat to go do errands with the stroller but it's annoying to put the carseat into the shopping cart. I'd wait until at least 6 months to get a feel for what you want to be doing with baby, check out your friends strollers to see what you like. If you want to do a lot of outdoor stuff in the woods that stroller is very different than a compact stroller for paved/indoor use and travel. Plus you may end up pregnant again pretty quickly and want a double stroller for your toddler/baby! Don't panic about getting things before the baby comes. For at least the first month (more like the first 3) all they really need is you, diapers, and a place to sleep. Even clothes are minimal with how much time they spend cuddling you (gotta love the skin to skin 😂) and you can always buy things as you go.
You are doing an amazing job with preping, looks like you are pretty set with every little detail. Electric snot sucker is the better option, and the babylove swaddle is the best 🙂 One thing I can advice any mom from my experience, is to really be gentle on yourself. You will face difficult and challenging times, acknowledge that, and be asured that it is hard for all mommies, as it is the most difficult job in the world.
Saw that you have the lanolin nipple pads. I absolutely hated them (I’m almost 6m postpartum) as they made my sore nipples chafe even more… I got some reusable bamboo ones on Amazon that I love and they even came with the little washing bags you mentioned. Just a thought 😊
When did you start purchasing these items? I’m 25 weeks pregnant and haven’t begun buying anything. Feeling pretty overwhelmed right now 🙈 I don’t live in the states so items are less accessible…
Hi Ashlynne! I recommend you to buy a babybjörn baby sitter, a baby brezza - if you formula-feed and outfits with buttons or zippers. Definitely my best baby purchases 😊
I love this video 😍 as a reference, we have an 8-month old babygirl and we had around for each age range (like newborn, 0-3 months, 3-6m and so on) and still do: 8 sets of clothing, three night jumpers, 2 swaddles, 2 hats and so on. Also 2 towels and a handful of socks and a ton (like 10) burb clothes. Works well with us, didn’t have to do laundry all the time and have enough to go around if there were diaper accidents or so o. 😅 Oh, and it’s a good idea to have one set of fresh clothes and a few diapers in the car and one in your bag at all times 😘
You can never have too many onesies! 😅 also, not sure if you can get them in America, but ‘sock-ons’ are absolutely amazing at keeping their little socks on. I know that doesn’t sound like an issue before the baby comes, but trust me, keeping socks on will take more time than you can ever imagine!
It's so cute seeing you with your baby bump, prepping for his arrival. Wishing you all the best ❤❤❤ P.S. I saw another momma's cart and she included snacks and deodorant.
Love this video! Can’t wait to see the rest of the nursery and prep! So excited for you guys! We’re right behind you due in August with our 1st at 38 years old! God is good we didn’t think we would could have a baby and was preparing for foster care and adoption which is still on our heart to do. Love your glider it looks nice and comfy! Where did you get it ? And your crib/furniture for the nursery trying to find items now they are def pricey but def want good quality. Been going back and forth with a crib that concerns to just toddler bed or going and head and getting a good quantity that goes to a full for when they are a teen. What did you guys go with?😊
The glider we got is by the brand Davinci (available a few places). And I’ll share more about all our nursery furniture when I share the makeover video!!
Newborn days are very slow. It can feel like you weren’t productive. Remind yourself that every nursing session, diaper change and cuddle are important!!! That is number one. The busy work can wait. Your job as mama IS important and that includes just sitting and holding baby in those first several months.
Let the nesting begin! 🙌 Feels so good to finally be starting baby prep in earnest. 🫶
P.S. Don’t forget to check out Perelel (go.magik.ly/ml/20idb) and use code “ASHLYNNE20” for 20% off!

Absolutely the best advice!
This!

Good luck! ❤
I used the Chicco infant car seat and loved it. But for the stroller we have the chicco corso that you can snap the car seat into and also have the option of a toddler seat. Really loved it. Seems to be just as big folded as the stroller you have now.
Wishing you a wonderful last few weeks before baby arrives, and a smooth delivery! ❤
Aww thank you so much!!
Baby gowns are nice in the beginning when changing the diaper frequently
Oooh might need to look into that!!
I thought I was gonna love these especially the kimono style gownsbut I was over the hype real quick lol just stuck to onesies & zipper swaddles. Don't bother with Velcro swaddles it's loud & annoying, will wake baby.
We did not love them at all. Baby’s legs were too cold. Sleepers all the way!
@@lydiasmith552 yea I thought it would be cool too used em in conjunction to the 2 way zipper swaddles

What a lovely video with all these sweet small baby clothes. The carrier looks great and very handy. Try to enjoy this time so much, I think it is a very beautiful time. You two are going to be great parents 🤍🩵
Thank you so much!! 🤍
We used the evenflo stroller where you could use the infant car seat secured in. it also comes with a bassinet type of stroller seat that can adjust upright for the baby to sit in as they outgrow the infant car seat. Very convenient especially in the first few months
That’s so exciting. Take all the hospital samples home when you leave. It is a big help. Will you be nursing and also pumping? That’s so exciting.
Great advice and thank you so much for sharing 🥰🥰
Also magnetic close are excellent for newborns sleepers.
Are we going to see a nursery tour? Would love to see his set up 😊
This brings back so many memories of getting ready for my first baby 😊 he just turned 8... it goes by so fast!
We had a similar stroller setup and that’s all we needed. We did have an additional carseat base for the second car though. And then a baby bjorn for those more adventurous days.
My baby boy is 6 months today🥰 you’re doing great getting as prepared as you can! Very excited for you🤍
So excited for you! Good luck, you’ll do great!❤
So nice that you’re about 4 weeks ahead of me in your pregnancy so I’m like “ok this buying and organising is to come very soon!”
Haha yes!! I feel like it hits most people somewhere between 34 and 36 weeks 😅🤍
Hi Ashlynne happy Saturday afternoon and I hope you having amazing day today and I loved your reset vlogs because you are amazing
Ooh thank you for the recommendations! That’s super helpful!
Agreed!! We got this to have at my parents so when we go visit them it’s nice to pack around! Its amazing.
A piece of advice: after the 3 month outfits, dont feel the need to fill all the gaps for the bigger outfits, because you'll find things later that you'll love, and also, it's exciting to go clothes shopping as your baby grows...leave some excitement for later as well.
The most exciting time, I loved preparing for my little one. Soak it all in 🥰
As you want to keep it minimalistic, I'd recommend to have two onesies per day and that for at least 6-7 days if you want to wash once a week. And if you need more, keep in mind that you or your helpers can buy clothes really quickly if necessary. And I'd also recommend to not buy that much in advance for the the bigger sizes. Just wait for what you'll feel comfortable with and what your baby likes and then you can buy step by step while your baby grows 😊
And for the stroller, I think this setup could be enough for the first few months, but keep in mind that babies shouldn't be sitting in a car seat for too long (max. 1 hour). So if you want to go an walks with your baby, I'd recommend using a stroller with a bassinet or using a baby wrap/carrier if your baby likes being carried around. But thats also a decision you can make when baby is already there. 😉
Great video. I highly recommend a binky clip on (hooks onto baby’s shirt), and a wipee warmer.
So excited for this period in our life. A little over 4 months till we can start trying… ❤ congratulations on your upcoming baby
Our little one is turning one next week. As for the stroller, we have a big fancy baby jogger stroller that I've loved. And then we got a Zoe Tour+ for travel and honestly I try to use it instead of the big fancy one now because it's so easy. Highly reccomended
You look so beautiful 💜 super excited for you and your little family. I’ve been watching your channel for years.
So excited for you! We are pretty close, I’m 33 weeks now! Are you going to share what you have for postpartum?
Oooh yay that’s good to know!! 🥰🥰
I loved how you referred back to Canada and the “soother”
I live in Canada and definitely wish I could shop for baby items at Target.
So sorry for your loss❤ sending hugs❤❤
Excited for hospital bag 💼
Coming soon 🤍🤍
Love this one! Happy International Women’s Day, Ashlynne!❤❤
Thank you so much Ervin!!
You’re welcome, Ashlynne!
in my country we are told to keep baby as little as we can in car seat, one hour max at one time as newborn so normal stroller is must
Preparing for my first one as well, been told a baby should not be in a car seat for more than 1 hour at a time so would have that in mind regarding strolers.
Aww that’s so sweet!!
Best memories of my life are from setting up for babies. I hope you too can enjoy this time in your life Xx best of luck
Aww that’s so sweet!! Thank you so much 😘
I admire your serenity. If I ver be blessed with a baby, I would not know where to start.
You are going to be a magnificent mother. I congratulate you.❤
happy nesting! i hope you're excited and feeling good about your sweet growing family!
Aww thank you so much!! 🥰🥰
Pls do a complete nursery tour
Thanks for taking us along on organizing your prep for baby - so exciting and fun. My experience with clothing was that I had a 10 lb baby so went right to 3 months and up so newborn was never used. At baby showers, i always buy 12-18 mos or even 18-24 mos as rhose sizes tend to eb given less ans will be needed soon.
This is such a lovely video! I am currently 30 weeks pregnant with my first baby and I plan to do something very similar after my baby shower in 2 weeks 💛 Your videos are always so soothing to watch xx
Aww love that!! That’s so exciting! 🥰🥰
Haha I feel like sometimes that’s how it goes 😂😂
How many would you say is “enough“?
For the middle of the night changes, I always loved the baby pajama sacks! ❤such a quick and easy changing. Do they even make those anymore?😂😊❤
Im not pregnant or planning for a baby anytime soon but your videos are so calm and relaxing
❤❤❤❤
Fun days ahead. I pray that your journey for your little baby will be successful and that you will get plenty of rest.
We use the nose frida every day and my baby is 13 months old now. You can buy replacement filters and it's not gross. I'd wait on the other stroller until you see if you are stroller person. Some people really end up not using them and opt for baby wearing most of the time.
Omg using it everyday?😮 why? Dont your child hate it like mine? XD
Hehe it’s such a fun song!! I was too while I was editing the vlog 😉🤍 And thank you!!
I’m so thankful for this baby! The joy glow you have says it all!
God’s beautiful redemption story!
I enjoy your videos so much! ❤
Only used the first couple weeks post discharge from the hospital
Could not agree more to all these things!!
YES. Spot on!
Thank you for the advice!! 🤍🤍
I agree.
Such a sweet Video! ❤
but can you tell me from where you got your outfit? I love it. Looks so good on you!
Aww thanks!! I’ve owned the tee for a while now (it’s from Madewell and was oversized pre-pregnancy) and the overalls were a clothing swap find :)
We had a pergo stroller it’s unbelievable the price of things
You are doing an amazing job with preping, looks like you are pretty set with every little detail. Electric snot sucker is the better option, and the babylove swaddle is the best 🙂
One thing I can advice any mom from my experience, is to really be gentle on yourself. You will face difficult and challenging times, acknowledge that, and be asured that it is hard for all mommies, as it is the most difficult job in the world.
I’m loving your videos as I’m getting ready for my first baby in November! 😍 I have to ask, where are your overalls from?? I’m obsessed
Saw that you have the lanolin nipple pads. I absolutely hated them (I’m almost 6m postpartum) as they made my sore nipples chafe even more… I got some reusable bamboo ones on Amazon that I love and they even came with the little washing bags you mentioned. Just a thought 😊
I just put in our car seats last weekend ❤ I think this weekend I’m going to pack our hospital bag just to have it done. Did y’all hire a doula?
When did you start purchasing these items? I’m 25 weeks pregnant and haven’t begun buying anything. Feeling pretty overwhelmed right now 🙈 I don’t live in the states so items are less accessible…
Hi Ashlynne! I recommend you to buy a babybjörn baby sitter, a baby brezza - if you formula-feed and outfits with buttons or zippers. Definitely my best baby purchases 😊
I always kept a basket of diapers/wipes in the living room because most of the time diaper changes happened on the floor in there.
Skip the onesies and go for zip sleepers. They keep baby warm and are easy breezy!!!
Oh and the nose frida is sp worth it!
That reindeer sweater!!!😊 so cute!!
Right?? Can’t wait to see him in it 🥰🥰
It's so cute seeing you with your baby bump, prepping for his arrival.
