And we’re BACK! Hope you enjoy this look at what I packed to bring to the hospital for my first baby (who’s now earth side)! 🤍 Want to know what changes I’d make to this list now that I’ve had my baby? Make sure you’re following me over on Instagram (@ashlynneeaton) because I’m going to unpack what I’d do differently for next time. 😘
I know this is too late to be applicable but for anyone reading-- Hospital beds typically have a set of outlets underneath the foot of the bed, it probably varies but ask the nurse. A 6ft cord is still a good idea, but if you can plug it into the bed it's easy to wrap around the bedrail with the trail of the cord along the edge. Hope that makes sense.
Things have changed so much since I had my kids. Good to see this video. I watch a lot of UA-cam videos where they are packing luggage. Like they are going on a 2 week European vacation. 99% of the stuff they won't need or use. My kids are 31 & 27. We literally wore a hospital gown while we were in the hospital. The whole stay. You didn't get dressed. You brought a robe and slippers ( I brought flip flops) for when you had guests or were walking. And a comfy outfit to wear back home. Our babies wore a little hospital T-shirt and stayed wrapped in a hospital blanket. We brought 1 going home outfit for our babies. The hospital provided everything we needed while in the hospital. Including diapers & minimal toiletries. The hospital always gave care packages. If we had a normal delivery we stayed 48 hours. If you or baby had any issues before or after delivery you stayed at least 4 nights. Congrats on baby boy!
I can't relate in no way to being an expecting mom or anywhere around babies, but I must say I missed you so much! I love your videos just for the friendly atmosphere, positivity, your voice and the calming effect they have on me even when the content is not so relevant to me personally 😂 Congratulations 🎉❤👏
@@AshlynneEaton oh please don't worry - I genuinely enjoyed your maternity thrift-haul, nursery makeover and other baby-related videos, I admire how you make everything seem so effortless just calmly talking about it 🩷
My only suggestion is ADJUSTABLE slip on shoes (I took Birkenstocks and had to adjust them much larger immediately post partum because my feet were so swollen! - didn’t have that problem during pregnancy)
So happy for you! I’m due any day now with baby #3! I’m keeping it so light this time since I know what I actually use and we only live 15 min from the hospital. Basically just 1 outfit to wear home, nursing bra, adult diapers, toiletries, shower shoes, and chargers. Of course 2 outfits for baby and my nursing pillow.
I have that exact sound machine, of of the best purchases I've ever made for baby! I dont even own one that plugs in. This is my baby's only sound machine, she's 18 months now. That and her blanket are her two comfort items wherever we go, so so so handy!
I wish I had one of those Frida bottles for after birth care. I gave birth to my son almost 17 years ago, 😭😭😭, and there are several things that are available now for helping the healing process that I wish were available back then. Congratulations on the birth of your baby boy! ❤
if you are getting an epidural I'd recommend grippy socks. You get pretty bad shakes as it wears off, so having the grips just to brace yourself a little better help a lot. Also I'd recommend brining nipple shields, and possibly a breast pump in case you need to pump for baby.
The way people act like you NEED grippy socks is insane. 🤣 Never once did my hospital be like “You have to wear these special grippy socks.” Like I have hardwood at home, I think I’ll be okay on those hospital floors.
Haha with you! Definitely got by just fine with regular socks 😅 But my hospital even provided some grippy ones (that I didn’t end up using) so wouldn’t have even been an issue!
Hi Ashlynne happy Friday afternoon and happy weekend and I loved your vlogs and you are amazing Supporter and I'm proud of you and I enjoy your channel
I’m curious to know how much of all these did you actually used 😊 Because I packed what I thought was a minimal pack and ended using nothing because hospital gave me everything including baby clothes 😂
Have you considered bringing slippers. They will give you slipper socks in the hospital. But just in case it is a little cooler in the hospital, the slippers will keep your feet off of the floor and for walking around in the bathroom. Maybe pick up an inexpensive pair to have while you're in the hospital...❤
I decided to wear mules to the hospital that I could slip on whenever I needed to use the restroom or move around. So I kind of got the benefits of a shoe and slipper in one 🤍🤍
A long time ago, I bought a fake LV luggage bag at the airport and was taken home on the conveyor belt by a fellow passenger. But I bought these fake bags from *luxrul* , so I don’t care if they are lost.
I remember saving up to buy a Chanel bag a few years ago when I already had the money to buy it. I gave up because I couldn't justify buying the bag at this price. Instead, I used the money to buy our second home. This is a better investment than a bag. Also, it’s great that I now have a *condup* Chanel bag.

oooh baby is here!?! Congratulations, so looking forward to hearing all about it.
OMW, just found your insta. Oliver is gorgeous. So much love for you all x
congrats and hope everyone is healthy and doing well
Now I think the workmanship of the fakes is better than the genuine ones *condup*
Love that I’m not the only one moving away from social media 🤣❤️
Please do another video of what you actually used and what you wish you'd brought (if anything)!
Great idea! Think I’m going to share this on my stories on Instagram 🤍
@@AshlynneEatonI don’t use instagram so please make a UA-cam video too.
People buy *condup* super fakes because the quality is better than the real thing... Crazy prices and terrible quality lately
I also Don't have an Instagram and would love a video or shorts format video of this! :)
Would love that video idea as well :)

Aww you’re so sweet!! And there will definitely be some more “normal” content coming soon too 🥰🤍

Yes to the Frida perry bottle!
I'm also so curious to know your birth story 🎉
My only suggestion is ADJUSTABLE slip on shoes (I took Birkenstocks and had to adjust them much larger immediately post partum because my feet were so swollen! - didn’t have that problem during pregnancy)
You can also take Crocs. They are wide enough. I used them throughout my pregnancy and afterwards.

Super excited for you 😊 my husband & I have been trying for awhile… please send some baby dust our way! 🙏🏼🤍
Aww thank you! And absolutely sending love and prayers your way. I know the waiting can be so hard. 🤍🤍
Baby dust ✨✨✨✨
Thank you both so much 🥹🫶🏼🤍

Having gone through the postpartum healing process, I can definitely say they are incredible! My #1 postpartum favorite for sure!!
Awee I’m so happy for you. I haven’t been here in a while so this was a happy surprise to see 🥰 I hope you have a safe and wonderful delivery.
Something I added for my bag are trampoline socks. They are great anti slip.
Oh interesting! I had never even heard of those but they look cool!

The shakes happen bc of hormones. I’ve never had an epidural and always get really bad shakes
Good luck! smart to bring the pacifier. most hospitals give you samples of formula and diapers and wipes

The hospital has grippy socks too but I honestly hate them because of the way they feel on my feet so I'd rather bring my own

you might want loose sweat pants over leggings, what is everyone's else's thoughts about sweats over leggings right after giving birth
Ha ha we brought nothing but an outfit for the baby - All was fine the hospital provided everything we needed
Yes. Same here. The hospital provided everything.

not sure how the c section makes it so someone wouldn’t need a gown?
