"Bob's Fridge" was a calamitous masterpiece on its own, and the animation just makes this story even better! I would love to see a part 2 to this where we get to see Bob yeet his phone into space and get pissed off at the guy who say "See I told you!" to him
Another animator did a three part on this story and includes that part, plus the first try with the gate and the gas main. Edit: SirGeorghe pointed out that the animator is Sir Walter Umderbridge, so go check him out for this trifecta of videos. Last time I saw, Underbridge also had one part of an animation for Mark and Chica's Roomba story as well.
As annoying as it was for Bob, the fridge story will forever be one of the funniest things I have heard. It's still my absolute favourite episode of Distractible, simply because I could barely breathe the entire way through it because I was laughing so hard. The animation really makes the story come to life the way I imagined it, translates Bob's storytelling very well.
Honestly the best episode of Distractible so far. I still feel bad for what bob went through though because I know how bad things can be when having others do it for you. Great laughs and story!
This is missing the best part, which is that right before the recording of this episode, the newly installed fridge was not actually cool like he expected it to be, so he was telling this whole story while not knowing whether he had a working fridge or not
1:00 the fact that the animators took the time to make fun of how short Mark is by having him stand on a box just goes to show how good they are, this might be one of the best videos I’ve ever seen
This animation just makes the story EVEN FUNNIER cause Mark and Wade are the delivery guys and it honestly seems like something that would happen to these 3!
Despite its legendary status, when I first listened to this story I was honestly more frustrated than amused and I felt really bad for Bob. People who don't do their jobs right are nightmarish to deal with. But now that it's visualized it's actually funnier to me 🤣
me too! like listening to it the first time had me on cringe mode turned up to 11. i'm just glad things got better for bob so that now he can make a joke out of the fridge fiasco 🥲😹
That's basically how I felt at first, but honestly, the more I rewatch it, the more I find it funny, mostly because that's the context of the episode; one of the main reasons they even posted it. I find it kind of healing, in a way. As if it's training my mind to laugh rather than lose itself in anger.
Same! If it had just been Bob telling me the story directly, I would have just been angry and frustrated along with him but Mark and Wade laughing their asses off in the background make me unable to take it too seriously. 😆
I had an entirely different perspective, because I used to work at Lowes pFt. I worked as one of the curbside pickup crew (Internet Fullfillment Associate) throughout covid. At my job I kinda dealt with a little bit of everything, so I knew a bit about delivery. And I had jUsT left my job like a couplr months prior, and when I left I knew that Lowes was switching from individual stores handling delivery to outsourcing it to a third party. And I had heard that they had tried to do this before, and that it had gone hOrRiBLy. So god. Listening to Bob's story? Made me angry. Oof I was like, BRO WTF I LET ME HELP I CAN'T I WOULDN'T HAVE JUST HECK OUCH NO UGHH I HATE PEOPLE hahaha

My favorite part of this episode, that unfortunately was not in the animation was them asking Bob for advice. To which his response was beautiful “Is it my job to install a refrigerator? I DON’T THINK SO!”

I still really hope Bob got them to pay in full for all the damages they did, as well as the huge water bill, not to even mention the shit load of inconvenience( not having fridge for even more time... or water...) they caused. As well as got him ANOTHER, NOT DAMAGED, NOT SOAKED TO THE BONE, WORKING fridge, without forcing extra costs on him... Love the animation, and the way Bob shared this story, I'd laugh a lot... if not the fact that... they damaged & flooded Bob's property, caused his market-new fridge to be destroyed(or at least damaged), made it so there was no fridge or water at his house, caused his bills to increase, not to mention the nerves it cost him...
a couple episodes later, we do get a resolution. he said that everything is fine and working now. i'd give you more details but he didn't share any, but i assume everything worked out because he didn't sound too stressed about it
I don’t ever hope for Bob to become this enraged, but damn when he does, he sure tells a great story. I’ve listened to this podcast twice now and I laughed just as hard each time.
There was a clay animation of Bob Fridge that the boys did watch and talk a bit on a separate episode. It had the original (from I remember) idea of having Mark and Wade as the delivery people. I bet they made sure this version still have that idea which I love. Check it out since it have a three part jammed pack with fun victuals

My parents had a fridge delivered to their house recently and one of the delivery men got into a fist fight with the neighbor. Also instead of taking the doors off the fridge to get it through the door like they're meant to, they took off the front door of the house. And still dented the fridge.
I get a lot of them are underpaid and it doesn't help that a lot of them are sub - contractors so training quality might wildly vary but, some common sense would help for these guys.

watching this from the actual podcast, you can definitely hear the extreme anger emitting from bob. It wasn't that heavy in the animation but in the podcast, you could definitely tell that the frustration was still fresh and boiling. Slightly scared but man it was so fucking hilarious i just love wade's laughter. my god 💀
I dont see enough people mentioning the fact that when the little circles of mark and wade laughing are bouncing around the screen, it so deliberately changes away to the next shot RIGHT BEFORE WADE HITS THE CORNER OF THE SCREEN 4:17
I've been rewatching this video since it came out, and I have never noticed that when Bob starts getting frustrated, Mark and Wade's bubbles with their heads laughing at him where actually hitting the sides of the screen. Like watching a logo on a TV screen move. However, right after Bob says "unbelievably angry," Wade's bubble was THIS close to hitting the corner of the screen, but the video cuts to the next part of the story. This animation is truly both amazing and menacing at the same time.

Another animator did a three part on this story and includes that part, plus the first try with the gate and the gas main.

I always did wonder if third time was the charm and he managed to get his fridge.
