Last month my mum, my rock and my best friend was diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumour. She was given 2-3 months to live. I am terrified of the future milestones in my life she will never see. My getting married, having kids.
Just hearing Gigi talk about her mum so casually, feeling her presence during the wedding and the symbolic chair..... That has given me so much reassurance for the future. Thanks girl.

My mum got married last year and a few people let her down, including her maid of honour... Luckily they are friends again now but it was really rude. Mum still had a good day though.
Omg. Yes!!! As someone who did her own wedding in less than 6 months... planning food and a venue for everyone. RSVP is very important. Ofc... you have to plan a little extra for the people who got their invite late... but yeah. Its common courtesy and really appreciated.
Ashley Jackson And usually it happens with someone who either doesn’t take into consideration the cost of how much it will cost for that person due to being single never had been married and has no consideration or someone who is just inconsiderate.
I only understand if there was an emergency but other than that there is no excuse.

Totally agree with spreading out the wedding and the honeymoon. Ours were months apart, but it just gave us so much to look forward to and made the wedding bliss last that much longer

I wish a speedy recovery for Natz! I had knee/leg surgery before and it's so painful! I'm glad she healed so quickly! Congrats on the wedding! You both looked beautiful! I can't wait to marry my fiance in 2021! We've got lots to plan but I can't wait to spend forever with her

Girl. Planning a wedding is like such a nightmare. It's really fun but the amount of responsibility you have to put on other people is stressful. I invited 80 people. I dont know many people or have a lot of friends so it was mostly mine and my fiances family. Literally only got 5 RSVPs back. I had to call and ask everyone if they were coming. And as of right now (wedding is in late october) we only have 40 people. I couldnt grt refunded for the money I spent for the other 40 people so I had to rearrange the money instead. Cool. Now I get some mimosas and snacks in the bridal room and an extra night in the honeymoon suite. But it's so disheartening to know that people will not show up for such a special occasion. I'm always there for the people who need me and it's been this way my whole life. People get invited and just not show up. It hurts I'm not gonna lie. But I'm starting to realize it doesnt really matter since my fiance will be there. That's all I need.

I had a similar situation when I married my husband, the week before we were supposed to fly out to our destination wedding I got a tooth infection in a wisdom tooth. Then right after, the next day my husband was hospitalized for Bell’s palsy/high blood pressure (the same day Trump was elected). Such a stressful week leading up to everything but we made it 🙌🏼
