TierZoo I just realized that the intro is the game boy startup🤣🤣 hey, I also have to ask you a question. Are you serious on your videos or are you meming around?? No matter what I just watch your vids cuz of how you incorporate animals into gaming, keep it up
As no main at all, I just choose what I feel like. Imagine the server like normal, but everything is white and cold, and the day event lasts shorter, while the night event lasts longer. Also, the insect players either hide or switch character for the time being, and the tree players that don't have needles shed their leaves. Human players made up some own special events for the time too, like the Christmas event, the Halloween event and the New Year's event.
@@tacoscatsandmangos512 They do, they just became so OP that none of them even value it anymore, and you may even get a nerf in charisma if you try it. That, and they don't really need it anymore compared to other players.

I was so excited to see you uploaded, I absolutely love this channel It does a great job with what it does, and I've learned so much more from this channel than I do an actual biology class. The jokes and references aren't cheesy or obnoxious, they're clever and well placed and it doesn't distract from or get in the way of the main topic of each video. Never stop doing what you're doing. You're one of my favorite channels
He makes well made, entertaining videos with a nice blend of biology and video game culture, and I have a lot of respect for him as a creator because he seems to put in a lot of effort into the research and editing process. However, the core of his videos is entertainment, not education. A six minute video teaches you about as much as you will learn by reading a wikipedia article for six minutes, it's just information without a context and without a basis of knowledge, it's trivia. The foundation of knowledge and learning is what your school education teaches you. I would hesitate to call the information put out on this channel trivia, but I would also hesitate to call it a learning channel. TierZoo, if you read this, keep making your videos just as you're doing them, they are very entertaining and you seem to really have a knack for combining the two main subjects of your videos. I won't tell you how you can change or what you "should" be doing because that's completely up to you. Keep making entertaining and interesting videos and good luck with your growing channel.
ThatOneGuy yeah I just couldn't think of a class that does this. Only thing that comes to mind that comes close is Marine Biology and that's where I got biology from. I guess just 'science' would've fit better
RANDOMEVERYTHINGish EXACT SAME FOR ME! The first video i found of him was the turtle tier build and i just saw it today. Now i've watched about hald his vids
If you play as a human one of the most aggressive servers is the Syrian one. There are a bunch of human clans fighting for land, and oil there. (Oil can sell for a bunch of in game currency) Be careful because the server is filled with trolls, hackers, and people who kill on sight.
@@sandro5535 says who? Tier zoo said they were players, if I remember when they were first released most were NPC’s because no one would play them. Players eventually learned that they can get massive amounts of kills if they do it right and then the virus community bumped way up when Eusocial Apes spec’d into intelligence and invaded every server, growing to billions of apes. This attracted more specialized virus strata.
Thouv Gh it doesnt make sense in this one. You dont get killed in smash because of too high percentage its just more knock back you receive. I would have found it cool if the one got knocked out of the water onto the land and not just dragged.
@@changye9604 Yeah but he's got to have access to a lot of behind the scenes stuff most of us other players don't have. He also seems to have played some other types before.
I *hate* Walrus mains. They really need a defense nerf and the thick blubber ability is bs. They get rewarded for low level play and as Polar bear main, it’s wayyy too op.
Eh, look fam, Walrus aren't a big deal. You just need to know _when_ to strike. Get them when they are alone, away from their peers. They are a lot easier to get a paw over if you don't need to worry about interference from other players. Work smarter, not harder.
A walrus alone will take a while to bring down. Its like playing Pokemon and picking a fight with a Metapod. Except walrus have tusks that can deal lots of damage.
Personally, I don’t really like the modders. They always seem to be tinkering around with things that are best left untouched. What if they do manage to create a mammoth build and it wreaks havoc on the current meta?
@@insert_username_here One modder team said that they'll use the mammoth build to improve the environment conditions in the Russian servers, specifically the permafrost location.
yeah. can't wait till he talks about the microscopic teir list like virus mains and bacteria mains. For some reason everybody hates them. humans mains are petitionning to ban bacteria mains from the servers
even though its true that human mains hate most of those types of players, there is a bunch of them that are the best supports in the game for humans, even better than dogs and cats. Also I'm really looking forward to the antarctika tier list and tips to survive that server.
I think that eusocial insects will be in the top spot, not only for their ability to grief almost anything but they are fucking everywhere. Ants are probably the top tier. But I do want to see where some insects rank(Like the dungbeetle, the strongest animal in the world, p4p).
we still haven't seen the virus tier list; at least I haven't. That is, assuming it exists though. Perhaps it's due to the devs recent debate on whether viruses are actually supposed to be playable.
YaBoi Alex Ark is nothing like the game being described. The closest thing I can think of is Thrive, but that game is in super early stages and may be to ambitious to even finish.
He's mentioned that he has a job and he doesn't _need_ money from this, but obviously money helps with life. Someone who loves a UA-cam channel/video will look in the description for ways to support it and to learn more. Edit: Leaving a comment, like TierZoo does, is another great, non-intrusive way to deliver a message.
Marc Marc i wouldnt mind an ad if it wasn't in the middle of the video tbh. These videos def deserve to make at least some profit, even if they have a patreon having a sponsor wouldnt be a horrible thing especially if they found a way to make it fit the theme
As an Arctic Fox main, let me tell you about some tactics that make survival on the Arctic server possible even for a seemingly subpar build like ours. Firstly we have extremely good cold resistance, mainly because we invested many evolution points into thick fur and generally rounder body shapes, like less pointy ears and shorter legs. This means it takes barely any stamina to stay alive. Second is the fact that we're part of the omnivore class. Although PKing yields a much higher energy boost, as you said there aren't enough targets to do this efficiently during the winter (the summer is another story, though). However, eating plants or remains from other players usually works well enough. A well-known strategy is to follow Polar Bear players around and eat the remains of Seals they catch. A strategy many players use is traveling into the slightly less northern servers, where there is still plenty of food, at the cost of a new enemy, the Red Fox, which has been venturing into the northern servers as their region-lock is being lifted because of the Climate Change event. And finally, we boast the highest respawn rates out of any build in the mammal class. This is necessary though, as many players don't survive their first year. (sorry if I made any of you cringe while reading this I'm still getting the hang of it)
Your wisdom is much appreciated. It's always nice to hear about other servers from experienced veterans. I'm currently thinking of maining the Arctic Fox after I finally finish my playthrough of a king cobra, and so, I would love to hear more about the Arctic Meta. (Don't worry, you nailed the game talk perfectly 😃)
@@silenceexe9439 Hmm, I don't know much about cracks. It probably depends on how much of which vanilla build's traits you have. If you have [bipedalism] and [speech] it could be viable to join the [human] guilds, but lots of [human] players look down upon hackers due to their high sociability leading to very exaggerated [enforced conformity]. I hear some regions and/or guilds are more accepting than others, but I generally stay far away from those places either way so I really don't have much of an idea, because human players tend to PK lower weight classes. That being said, I don't think the [Arctic] server is that good of an idea for you either, because [size] is actually pretty relevant to the defenses against environmental debuffs, and I do assume [size] is one of the traits that you took from the [human] build. However, at least [arctic fox] players won't enforce conformity like [human] players will.
Humans are way to overpowered they litterally control ALL the servers right now and their intelligence is unmatched, the devs REALLy need to nerf their intelligence - Angry Moose main that just got shot by a human main
qwerty uiop The main human builds main nerf is war. A event which occurs when the human guilds both want the same resources and often starts because of guilds different religion choices.
To be fair, elephant and gorilla players have been seen engaging in large PVP battles as well. It appears to be some form of counter-nerf to the extremely powerful intelligence stat.
Bandaged Boot That or extreme loyalty to ones guild even when the leadership goes awry. Oftentimes the human players do not realize that their guilds’ pinned messages and rumors corroborated by top players within their guild (leadership or otherwise) are there to send them to gain power for them regardless of any real justification.
Just something to add about Polar Bears. Polar Bears in the Arctic of Canada have actually adapted their eating strategy, they leave the Ice to come on land and eat Snow Geese Eggs. The population for Canadian Snow Geese is ridiculously high from the extra food they get migrating through the midwest (Which has lots of Grains to eat from Farming). Polar Bears get easy food during Geese Breeding season, most people have no Idea about this. Long Story short, Polar Bear Donation groups don't want the public to know that the population is increasing it certain spots and actually Data isn't given to show how endangered they are (More Money if they look endangered). I actually talked and worked with people in Canada from an organization, extremely nice people they just have an agenda. So don't attack them, just know that these apex predators have adapted, Nature is crazy.
i heard this population increase is being counter acted by them interbreeding with their class precursor the grizzly bear producing grizly/pollar bear hybrids
Hey, wolf main here. We hunt in smaller packs because the harsher arctic climate makes it harder to sustain large packs, and in large packs some wolves don' get enough food or aren't respected enough and die quickly.
Yea, the vid inadvertently answered it's own question with the rabbit or musk ox note- a large pack has to take on musk oxen way more often, which is risky and dangerous play, and will quickly run out of rabbits to grief as well.
I died when my pack and I were finishing off a musk ox. Then I got kicked in the ribs. We killed it, but I think a lung got punctured making the exp I got worthless.
The wolves probably go in smaller packs because regular sized ones would be too difficult to sustain as there are bound to be less prey animals available to feed them.
Well if they are more they could eat the bigger ones far easier. Though yeah with the tank stats the coldresistance provides its probably pretty bad anyways to be dps.
Because of Cloud's recovery, getting on and staying on low friction platforms can be really tough. The down b neutral is appealing, but tanky builds are favored to reduce the effects of friction.
Hot-Headed Gladiator It would definitely be fascinating. The concrete jungle servers may be dominated by the modders who made It, but it's a rich land of resources for rodent and bird type builds. The number of preditors is greatly reduced, and there's a lot of resource scavenging to be had
What about the Arctic Bumblebee? As practically the only successful support class for angiosperms in Arctic servers, they have a monopoly during the summer months, ranking in support points like it's going out of style. And their cold-adapted queens can sleep through the harshest winter phases.
3:24 The pack hunting strategy is a difficult one to maintain in the Arctic Servers since XP is hard to come by and you have to split with your fellow team. Large teams are likely difficult to maintain as a result so numbers are probably kept short as a compromise. It's a lose/lose scenario overall since your kills won't often be large enough to sustain your teammates, so the more mystifying enigma is why they spec into the arctic in the first place
I just assumed that the wolf players were just fighting each other. Let me tell you why tho, you have the furries on one side, the emo people on the other, and then there’s the rest of us, the actual players, which were divided into several sub-factions. Thing is when the server started everything was already divided, a sub-faction of anti-furry players started stealing kills from the furries, the emos started to complain, loudly I might add, about the low prey, and the players were starting to fight because of some Catholic, decided to go on and do a Martin Luther to the Orthodox sub-faction on the chat. A polar bear player, Queensgate2321, attacked the emo faction on the request of the anti-emo sub-faction, and a bunch of other bullshit. The player sub-faction, us, decided to just slit into smaller groups so we can get kills and what not, since this shit was difficult as it is. It’s times like this that I miss playing in the Africa sever and the Pacific server. Those were fun times.
I don't know. I looked it up and it said the Gameboy logo consists of simple shapes and therefore can't be copyrighted, so maybe that applies to the sound bite as well.
How to play in the Arctic Server: Step 1: Travel to the past about 1000 years Step 2: Go for tank marine mammal Step 3: Make sure way you can escape to land Step 4: Be a Walrus Main.
The Black Dragon I mean, 1000 years ago is okay, but if you really want to artic main, you should go back far enough to play the wooly mammoth. 1000 years ago and you're only a little better off than you are now
The polar bear used to have high stealth since they blend in with the snowy white background of the arctic servers, but recently due to human players altering the temperatures, a lot of it melted, and the once OP camouflage is now making them more vulnerable to attack from other players. I don't know, but I think it is about time the mods nerf the humans.
It's a nice change don't you think... No more OP camo, but more players and pvp targets due to coming onto the shores from ice (with the downside of human mains sometimes trolling them). Also, don't forget that polar bears are marine mammals (they swim well).
@@emilv.3693 hey, not all of us play as human mains, ya know. I, for one, am frustrated these humans are ruining the game and strongly advocate a nerf.
Ants, easily. You get more servers(basically all but the arctic ones), a lot more different builds, and more variety. With termites it´s always build a base and hope it will hold out, ants on the other hand have some really heavy stuff at their proposal including different varieties of farming and even slavery. Ants can pile up even on bigger vertebrate builds and just shut them down and eat them while termites are mostly limited to wood. With ants you get some of the best weaponry, stuff that can shut down even larger builds like humans by inducing extremely agonizing pain. I mean, termites my have some impressive fortesses but it´s not even a contest. Ants are the absolute masterrace when it comes to social insects.
"WItch Time (Bayonetta)" You sneak things like this in and I love you man, keep doing what you're doing! Next time cover specific animals that are good to main for newcomers, like Tarantula Hawk Wasps and Bears
Blueberry101 Please do NOT fully show a tarantula in the thumbnail, there are many of us that gets completely maniacally freaked out when we see even a little picture of a tarantula
i am loving this approach to looking at wildlife, can't believe i just* found you. can you do a a video about the urban and city meta? it would be interesting how other builds take advantage of the expanding human-made servers.
City meta is dominated by rats, mice, squirrels, and support classes. Pigeons too, worldwide, with local birds round here like the white-wing dove and the great tailed grackle getting in on the urban scavenger action. In some urban areas of North America, parrot players from the South American server have hacked the servers to become urban parrots in North America. The devs have overlooked this because they see the hack as simply restoring the now-extinct Carolina Parakeet.
You're not wrong tbh, the Corona virus pandemic update dropped a while ago. I think it's the Devs trying to nerf the OP Human mains. And it works for a lot of the lower intelligence Human mains like antivaxxers.
i dont know, i heard some players in Wuhan spec'ed into the virus class to immense, if temporary success. Most traditional players are upset and claim its a gamey exploit.
How about Bowhead Whale? It doesn't have to deal with predators outside of the small numbers of humans in the area and the occasional gankers from other servers.
Komodo Dragons take 300% more damage from cold and since they would be in a Polar Region, they would take x2 of that so 600% more damage. Cold damage crits Komodo Dragons so they would literally take 1200% more damage than a human class. Polar Cold deals 500 damage every 5 seconds to unprotected humans so to a Komodo Dragon they would take 6,500 damage every 5 seconds. Komodo Dragons only have 2000 HP dude.
As someone from Alaska, I have two notes. 1) Reindeer are not wild animals; reindeers are the domestic form of caribou. 2) Caribou here in Alaska are exclusive to the Arctic Server. They rely on the lichen for stamina regeneration, and as such caribou players are rarely found outside the Arctic Server where there is much less lichen loot. Personally, I would put caribou in high C tier. They have losing match-ups against wolves (and humans) and don't really have anything spectacular about them.
According to wiktionary.org, caribou is the name of "Any of several North American subspecies of the reindeer, Rangifer tarandus.", while reindeer is the name of "Any Arctic and subarctic-dwelling deer of the species Rangifer tarandus, with a number of subspecies". ( en.wiktionary.org/wiki/caribou and en.wiktionary.org/wiki/reindeer )
I’d like to see a dedicated video on “Living Fossil” classes, ones that have survived drastic changes in the meta. I still remember my first character: a horseshoe crab. Hear players these days complaining about human players (of corse) chopping their characters up for fish bait and harvesting blood. Sure, the meta’s a bit spicier now, but a surprising amount of the humans’ biomed tree is based on HSC blood. Maybe we’ll see those numbers climb again?
Thanks man for covering the walrus. A lot of players treat the walrus as a "Joke build" because it looks to ungainly to actually do anything. However, as you showed in the video, they are definitely top tier tanks that I feel more people should look into playing as.
Lightning Strike then again as humans develop more and more defence items specifically tailored to countering microscopit builds, and often straight up abuse them, it's quite possible we're on the verge of someone discovering an OP microscopic build that can outsmart the most contrived human defence mechanism.
I think the fish players in the Arctic are the real MVP. Somebody's gotta do it, and they manage to do it in a crazy server. I'd love to hear something from you on them at some point.
I’m not going to lie...I was expecting you to be boring even though I wanted to watch your video. But as the video went on I was so surprised that your approach to this question was truly different. You have a lot of talent and that inspires me. Thank youb
Just imagine a deadly virus hitting the world that is going to wipe us all from the face earth and how he is just going to praise the devs for finally doing a balancing patch.
Birds are former raptor mains being forced to adapt. Honestly, they've managed to make a pretty good comeback, all things considered. There are some really mean raptor builds to work with.
You should make a video explaining the history behind the Bubonic Plague, and how it dominated the meta before its devastating nerf. It was such a huge event, as it hit several major servers and almost dropped human from S Tier.
really it's the same issue any bacterium has, If you're too widespread but don't change it up enough eventually your grief targets wise up and get the specific Immunity trait for your particular method. Also once enough are gone it becomes much harder to spread from target to target rapidly reducing ur exp potential.
See this is why i call it griefing because plague bacterium can't survive in the human body long term due to either killing the host quickly or being suppressed. it's not a viable long term strategy.
ChaseSP1 Exactly. OP thought they got nerfed, when in reality their grief targets wisened up and they grieved too hard too fast and ran too low on targets before they could recoup their player base. I don’t care how much PKing a player enjoys it, when you can’t find your grief targets, you just have to quit.
Heath Skinner Nerf? Plague players crippled themselves with how viciously they griefed humans. Their infection rate wasn't sustainable with their ridiculous kill potential and they also posed enough of a threat foe humans to develop countermeasures. Should have taken a lesson from the various flu mains, going strong since time immemorial.
The cheetahs in this game need a buff. Does not have to be a huge buff, but a buff in strength, dura, and stamina would be great. Enough that it can at least challenge Leopard and Hyena players.
Another great video. I am trying to thing of a suggestion on how to improve, but I cannot. The only thing I can think of is that I wish it was longer since there is so much more to say, but that is how I feel about all of your videos.
Can you please talk about how overrated and awful the mosquito class is and the fact that every wiki claims that they have the highest kill/death ratio even if that is by the viruses they carry?
Romke McScumbag III They only have the highest Kill count because of the various viruses they carry. Not to mention their K/D is TERRIBLE, sure they net a ton of kills but millions of them die all the time.
Also, their lightweight build and their specific wing size makes them easy to spot AND hear. Seriously, their stealth is one of the worst in the game IMO.
Romke McScumbag III they have been getting worse and worse. This is mostly because of the human class. But still strong. Annoying and overrated but are some what decent. Not amazing though
I'm loving the constant improvement of the aesthetic and presentation. To think this all came from a joke of another UA-camr spiraling into its own thing.
+chillin chum Casually Explained did a couple of vids in this vein back in the day. TierZoo has taken it so much farther, and I, for one, thank him for it.
You know what I’ve been binge watching this channel for awhile now and that little message pushed it over the edge you earned a sub keep up the quality content dude.
(6:06) I remember this matchup on _Animal Face Off_ . Walrus tanked every blow polar bear dished out. Its blubber absorbed most of the body hits and the thick skull negated any headshots.
Obviously Humans. With no skill cap on intelligence their possibilities become theroritcally endless. Combine that with their focus on co operation and you have the best class ever made.
Would you ever consider doing specifically mythical creatures... it would be interesting to see how you think some of these would fare in the real world, how they'd affect ecosystems, where they'd thrive, etc.
_ Halloeen _ Actually dragons and unicorns used to be in the game but got patched out cuz of balancing issues, I'm hoping they come back in the next release of the game
It's almost impossible to evaluate these theoretical private server builds since the admins can buff or nerf them at will, resulting in inconsistent data and a meta that's never able to settle down. Furthermore, none of these builds have been playtested in a realistic game setting, and few admins balance their test server environments in a way that reflects the coding of the live game.
The wolves in the arctic hunt in smaller packs because the people who choose those classes have less friends to begin with. They also don't understand why wolves are good.
Jordan M really? ocean more empty than land? have you not seen the player connections logs? ocean servers are full of players thanks to the incredibly high variety of characters to choose, the have extremes choices like whales, colossal squids, plankton and so on. there are more choices on ocean servers than land servers altogether, get your shit r8 m8
Ya know you’re the first channel that has actually inspired me to get a patreon. I’m broke at the moment but when I have a paycheck I’ll sub. I truly love your content.
CoolMoon the artic servers were already on the way out by the time humans started mucking up the meta there, although, paradoxically, if they'd gotten to the state they are today faster (before humans made it to North America) then the artic meta would have been better protected from human caused environmental debuff - overhunting.
Humans are the best class in some things, but the worst in some, it's hated by a lot of classes since they ruin a lot of metas, destroy classes, and soon, even servers.
TierZoo, Do you think you would ever cover defensive stall builds, and their place in the current meta? I am thinking about playing an armadillo or tortoise build. Although, going for a stall predator build would be cool like the Komodo Dragon. The Komodo Dragon is most often played as a rogue/DPS build. However, it does have the toxic bite buff because it happens to use a server where there's muddy, infested water holes everywhere. Could this be a symbiosis buff that gives the Komodo Dragon, (A naturally high DPS/Rogue Build) the means to swap strategies, and adopt the poison stall set? Or is it just a nice ability, but not enough to warrant a complete change in play style? Sorry, I'm new to playing in the meta competitively.
Ethanerd Don't know where you got your info buddy, but the most well known kill strat for Komodos is to bite with their bacteria riddled mouths and wait a few days to collect.
Chaotix Fox Right. I was saying that since their base stats indicate a rogue/DPS build, you would think they would play around that build. However, with the symbiosis buff given by the infested watering holes ambient to the Indonesia server, it seems that a lot of the Komodo players swap strategies, and op for the Toxic Stall set seen by very few other builds in the meta.
I'd like to say a Komodo Dragon is *not* a rogue hybrid build, it is flat-out DPS. People mistook it as a rogue type when they saw a few instances of targets escaping and dying later, but the vast majority of the time they kill targets on the spot with their powerful bite attack and claws ripping even most high HP tanks to shreds.
Sierlea So, since it's stats clearly indicate a high DPS build, would a change in play style due to the toxic symbiosis buff they gain from their server not warrant a change play style to a more toxic stall oriented strategy? I assume that since the Komodo Dragon is such a good DPS build that, though possible, it's buff wouldn't warrant a change in play style to a toxic stall set simply because it wouldn't be optimal. I just think a switch up in play style could give an unexpected advantage in the current meta however. Sorry if some of my information is wrong, I'm new to playing in this meta competitively.

I was so excited to see you uploaded, I absolutely love this channel
It does a great job with what it does, and I've learned so much more from this channel than I do an actual biology class. The jokes and references aren't cheesy or obnoxious, they're clever and well placed and it doesn't distract from or get in the way of the main topic of each video. Never stop doing what you're doing. You're one of my favorite channels
Captain Kirby amen on that
Agreed.
You realize biology class doesn't teach you anything like this?

It's a nice change of pace from the African and Amazon servers which just have shit flying everywhere.

4LeftTurns as a walrus i must say they are op but orca are just ridiculous they intelligence and jaws Will destroy you
Eh, look fam, Walrus aren't a big deal. You just need to know _when_ to strike. Get them when they are alone, away from their peers. They are a lot easier to get a paw over if you don't need to worry about interference from other players. Work smarter, not harder.
What Walruses need is a proper big carnivore that eats them.
Complain all you want buddy that Nerf ain't coming, we're the kings here.
A walrus alone will take a while to bring down. Its like playing Pokemon and picking a fight with a Metapod. Except walrus have tusks that can deal lots of damage.
Aparently some moders are trying to recreate the mammoth build by going over the source code from legacy servers.
Omfg. That is the best possible way to describe it. 😆🤣

Either do an insect or a marine mammals tier list pretty please. Your channel's the best.

I would love him to do one specifically on eusocial animals
It's 2 years later, and I'm still waiting for that Antarctica tier list to tell me that penguins are the apex predator on land.
we still haven't seen the virus tier list; at least I haven't. That is, assuming it exists though. Perhaps it's due to the devs recent debate on whether viruses are actually supposed to be playable.

I'm personally experimenting with a cracked build that combines human and arctic fox traits together, any tips for me?
Ah the abomination class. An interesting one
Rabbit main here
What are your respawn rates?
Humans are way to overpowered they litterally control ALL the servers right now and their intelligence is unmatched, the devs REALLy need to nerf their intelligence
- Angry Moose main that just got shot by a human main
Baby Man Im pretty sure Humans are somehow nerfing themselves, i see a bunch of them killing eachother and selves
qwerty uiop The main human builds main nerf is war. A event which occurs when the human guilds both want the same resources and often starts because of guilds different religion choices.
To be fair, elephant and gorilla players have been seen engaging in large PVP battles as well. It appears to be some form of counter-nerf to the extremely powerful intelligence stat.
Baby Man since the introduction of the Internet subserver I’d say that job’s being taken care of
Bandaged Boot That or extreme loyalty to ones guild even when the leadership goes awry.
Wow..is that a new patch? I didnt know that the server was updated..
Sounds like Inuit propaganda.
i heard this population increase is being counter acted by them interbreeding with their class precursor the grizzly bear producing grizly/pollar bear hybrids
@Hlary I've generally heard them called pizzly or grolar bears (depending on which parent was from each species).
The meta is evolving
Hey, wolf main here. We hunt in smaller packs because the harsher arctic climate makes it harder to sustain large packs, and in large packs some wolves don' get enough food or aren't respected enough and die quickly.
This. I've run out of food so many times with any pack larger than 3. It's just too many mouths to feed and not enough experience to share.
No respecc for Arctic wolf mains.
He forgot to include caribou/reindeer as a prey species...

"I could just charge limit and win"
I can see the arctic fox becoming a support class very soon
Just a suggestion. But what about the concrete jungle servers?
Nah. Hawks all the way.
I'm very interested in the rat meta, would watch.
Hot-Headed Gladiator It would definitely be fascinating. The concrete jungle servers may be dominated by the modders who made It, but it's a rich land of resources for rodent and bird type builds. The number of preditors is greatly reduced, and there's a lot of resource scavenging to be had
Pigeons OP
rats teir 0
pigeons teir 1
homeless human teir D
What about the Arctic Bumblebee? As practically the only successful support class for angiosperms in Arctic servers, they have a monopoly during the summer months, ranking in support points like it's going out of style. And their cold-adapted queens can sleep through the harshest winter phases.
there's global bee nerf around 2015, I dont think it's a viable long-term option tbh
The human mains have been trying to circumvent the nerf though. I think the Humans have become too dependent on the bee-human combo.
Could never get myself to play in an artic server. There is always one player in chat making ice puns.

Oh, relax. At least everyone here keeps a cool head compared to everyone in the desert servers.
i know right, everyone seems to be heated up with arguments that they don't even realize how dry their jokes are
3:24 The pack hunting strategy is a difficult one to maintain in the Arctic Servers since XP is hard to come by and you have to split with your fellow team.
I love the new GBA intro!
Can't he get into legal trouble for that?
I don't know. I looked it up and it said the Gameboy logo consists of simple shapes and therefore can't be copyrighted, so maybe that applies to the sound bite as well.
When’s Earth: Ruby version coming out? :P
How to play in the Arctic Server:
Step 1: Travel to the past about 1000 years
Step 2: Go for tank marine mammal
Step 3: Make sure way you can escape to land
Step 4: Be a Walrus Main.
The Black Dragon I mean, 1000 years ago is okay, but if you really want to artic main, you should go back far enough to play the wooly mammoth. 1000 years ago and you're only a little better off than you are now
i you would still have to go pretty far back since you got low level (but still crazy OP) humanoids running around at that time
Clicked this video so fast cheetahs looked even more unviable.
Covid patch 3.0
I’d prefer a ban
It's a nice change don't you think...
No more OP camo, but more players and pvp targets due to coming onto the shores from ice (with the downside of human mains sometimes trolling them). Also, don't forget that polar bears are marine mammals (they swim well).

Coach McGurik It seems like you are mistaken. "Ichirou Izanagi" is the name of my character for the project that i am currently in.
We also need some help settling the age-old ant versus termite debate.
Ants are the absolute masterrace when it comes to social insects.

i am loving this approach to looking at wildlife, can't believe i just* found you. can you do a a video about the urban and city meta? it would be interesting how other builds take advantage of the expanding human-made servers.
good point

How about Bowhead Whale? It doesn't have to deal with predators outside of the small numbers of humans in the area and the occasional gankers from other servers.
Beriorn
And even the orcas can only really kill the calves
to be honest, bowhead whales ocasionally get griefed by polar bears, and they have no real way to defend against them
Because they dont stay in the Arctic all year round, they wander/swim as far south as the Netherlands and belgium
Plus that Massive HP. 200 years and still kicking.
Bowhead Whale master race!
What about Komodo Dragons?
Bætnet is this a Shad joke?
They are in Greenland.
Hahahahaha
Komodo Dragons take 300% more damage from cold and since they would be in a Polar Region, they would take x2 of that so 600% more damage. Cold damage crits Komodo Dragons so they would literally take 1200% more damage than a human class. Polar Cold deals 500 damage every 5 seconds to unprotected humans so to a Komodo Dragon they would take 6,500 damage every 5 seconds. Komodo Dragons only have 2000 HP dude.
this is a joke right?
Your videos are tight man, I've been watching them since day one. I'm trynna score an e-vite to the upcoming mars beta
That's because of your side of the mountains. Caribou migrate across the tundra every year.
Svalbard reindeer subspiecies is quite arctic too, as far as I know
According to wiktionary.org, caribou is the name of "Any of several North American subspecies of the reindeer, Rangifer tarandus.", while reindeer is the name of "Any Arctic and subarctic-dwelling deer of the species Rangifer tarandus, with a number of subspecies".

TransmetSpider
That's a great idea!
Thanks man for covering the walrus. A lot of players treat the walrus as a "Joke build" because it looks to ungainly to actually do anything. However, as you showed in the video, they are definitely top tier tanks that I feel more people should look into playing as.

Can we get some microscopic builds
+1 for this suggestion
Raised Donger But as the human class discovers their hidden weaknesses, more and more microscopic builds are becoming obsolete.
Lightning Strike then again as humans develop more and more defence items specifically tailored to countering microscopit builds, and often straight up abuse them, it's quite possible we're on the verge of someone discovering an OP microscopic build that can outsmart the most contrived human defence mechanism.

Nah they banned the raptors

Birds are former raptor mains being forced to adapt. Honestly, they've managed to make a pretty good comeback, all things considered. There are some really mean raptor builds to work with.
You mean like ice climbers?
I’d love for this to actually be a game one day. Maybe soon, maybe in years, maybe after I die. I want this to be enjoyed by good people.
You forgetting the Mt Toba eruption. That nearly put humans off the server.
This is the best concept for a channel I've ever seen.

The cheetahs in this game need a buff. Does not have to be a huge buff, but a buff in strength, dura, and stamina would be great. Enough that it can at least challenge Leopard and Hyena players.
3:00 I like how "Witch Time" is casually thrown in there
Lol
Another great video. I am trying to thing of a suggestion on how to improve, but I cannot. The only thing I can think of is that I wish it was longer since there is so much more to say, but that is how I feel about all of your videos.
yeah, and 10min vids get more adds, which could help with the revenue.
Beides even of we give them the Credits for their Kills because of their Virus/Algea Support class - they don"t XP because of the kill
Humans only have such a good digestive system because of bacteria we carry around.
carrying virus's is fair game for offense.
What if it grows ever bigger then the original?
Only 5x more subs to go.
TyphoonZebra what youtuber made a joke like this?
I think I was brought to this channel from the recommendation engine. XP
+chillin chum Casually Explained did a couple of vids in this vein back in the day. TierZoo has taken it so much farther, and I, for one, thank him for it.
Cheshire Cynic I kinda wanna see a summary of that.
Your gaming references are just perfect while not taking any of the video time for it. You're a really good content creator!
You know what I’ve been binge watching this channel for awhile now and that little message pushed it over the edge you earned a sub keep up the quality content dude.
You got me on the pause, now I gotta sub
Skyler Husak holy someone who knows what homestuck is on a non homestuck vid, amazing
Ilove the runescape sounds so much
the ice barrage sounds are giving me nightmarish flashbacks
Memba' castle wars?
the best ost ever made
(6:06) I remember this matchup on _Animal Face Off_ . Walrus tanked every blow polar bear dished out. Its blubber absorbed most of the body hits and the thick skull negated any headshots.
Should’ve had different opponents! Polar bear vs Brown bear and Walrus vs Great white shark!
Can you do a video on GOD TIER animals and on what is the best of all time. Blue whale? T.rex? Megalodon?
I remember when i was a polio main. those we're good times.
T rex was done to an extent. But yeah. Where's the Kraken? Lol
I'm going to call it now: all the true God Tiers are unicellular.
As boring of an answer this may seem... It's Humans, just Humans.
Obviously Humans. With no skill cap on intelligence their possibilities become theroritcally endless. Combine that with their focus on co operation and you have the best class ever made.
How have i not discovered this channel before... It’s so awesome
Would you ever consider doing specifically mythical creatures... it would be interesting to see how you think some of these would fare in the real world, how they'd affect ecosystems, where they'd thrive, etc.
Mahoole Magic School That’d be a great April Fools Day video
it sounds really fun, but nearly all of them vary greatly from story to story, so it would be near impossible to give them a consistent rank
I dont think modded servers and legends are reviewed here for obvious reasons
_ Halloeen _ Actually dragons and unicorns used to be in the game but got patched out cuz of balancing issues, I'm hoping they come back in the next release of the game
It's almost impossible to evaluate these theoretical private server builds since the admins can buff or nerf them at will, resulting in inconsistent data and a meta that's never able to settle down. Furthermore, none of these builds have been playtested in a realistic game setting, and few admins balance their test server environments in a way that reflects the coding of the live game.
5:38 "This cumbersome, unwieldy weapon is not one used for defence."
South African bloke: "Please hold my very small can of beer..."
No, it was a tool, not a natural defense.
“They don’t have any broken special abilities that make them top tier” *Bayonetta Witch Time*
Your Feline tier video was phenomenal. I was looking for the canine version. Can’t wait to see that.
hyenas are closer related to cats and dogs, closest relation is a mongoose.
You are one of the best educational entertainer on UA-cam I've ever seen.
Love your work! Great job :D
The game clips and screenshots you get for these videos are amazing. You do such a great job at giving a good visual for what you talk about.
The wolves in the arctic hunt in smaller packs because the people who choose those classes have less friends to begin with. They also don't understand why wolves are good.
Killer Whales are so OP that I'm suspicious they're a pre-scripted boss fight to address balance issues.
Tom Tyler being tied to water is what keeps them at A tier because the ocean server always seem to be a lot more empty than land
Zalaidreh not in my local area
I want this roleplay game lol
Philosoraptor Mongoloidensis What if I told you that you are playing it. Right. Now.
Soopa Derpcat GAMEOVER!!
yea but your auto locked in a to the human class and is stuck in a system called
You can for example go for a Hindu build to unlock the "Respawn as animal" - Ability. Not many do it tho and many also consider it to be a myth.
This game is already available worldwide in glorious HD.
Ya know you’re the first channel that has actually inspired me to get a patreon. I’m broke at the moment but when I have a paycheck I’ll sub. I truly love your content.
Damn humans are ruining the polar servers. As if we didn't have it hard enough.
CoolMoon the artic servers were already on the way out by the time humans started mucking up the meta there, although, paradoxically, if they'd gotten to the state they are today faster (before humans made it to North America) then the artic meta would have been better protected from human caused environmental debuff - overhunting.
CoolMoon Humans are a stupid class. They have made some classes unplayable like the dodo.
It's ridiculous how many human players are denying the harm they're doing to the Arctic servers
To be fair some classes are legitimately too jank to live. Pandas for example, suck.
Humans are the best class in some things, but the worst in some, it's hated by a lot of classes since they ruin a lot of metas, destroy classes, and soon, even servers.
Can't take the time to sub if I am already subbed. ;)
Same ^^
(taps forehead) We think the same way.
Man, I was gonna say this.
Kissass
Same here.
