Most ant builds are overspecialized low tier trash just. The majority of ant players play as one of a few different builds. The most popular builds are stuff such as: fire ants, leafcutter ants, army ants, crazy ants, argentine ants, and pharoah ants. If you counted all individual ant players you will likely find the species listed above making up most of the players. Most ant builds are specialized because they are noobs to eusocial builds which will only use a specific recource in the game even if it means game over. The only good specialized builds are ones such as certain army ants which will only grief other ant players and spawnkill the early game players for exp. This only works because the resource is abundant and they are very good builds for spawnkilling. Another good specialist build is the leafcutter ant. Leafcutter ant players will use one abundant recource to farm for exp which they are designed to do very efficiently. Another thing that can determine how good an ant build is is if they have more then one queen player per colony. Most of the popular ant builds have more than one queen in a colony. The crazy ant players have unlocked a unique ability which allows new queen players to spawn inside of the colony and not have to leave because leaving usually leads to a game over. The only ant build listed above which doesn't have more than one queen in a colony are the army ants but the queen player is very well protected (if argentine ant builds do only have one queen ans I am wrong someone correct me).
I don't know if there really are enough players to fill in for every ant on the server list... Maybe playing ants is like playing an RTS game as the queen, and either randomly taking control of minions for manual work, or simply assigning NPCs to do things while you reap the rewards; equate it to a game like Hearts of Iron or maybe Civilizations.
I think that was a bug that gave Giraffe builds + 100 damage resistance for some reason. It lasted only a day before the devs fixed it, but it was funny as hell.
It is fun, but it plays more like a grieffing mini-game than anything else. You get a few days of play at most from each build (cryo-sleep shenanigans non-considered) and evolution points are exclusively usable for adaptative skills with zero control over cosmetics, which was a huge turn off for me. You can have interactions will all other builds but, arguably, these are not real interactions since you do not specifically make use of the normal PVP mechanics and instead engage in tower defense-esque raids that use the other players as servers themselves. Pretty weird, and fun, but you might get bored of it if you like the normal gameplay. On the bright side, it is probably the only effective way to mess up a human player's day in the current 2019 meta, hence why I think it was designed for players who enjoy grieffing other builds or have little time to invest; sort of like how a mobile version of the game would feel like. It was a good idea that took care of removing most of that playerbase from the main gameplay experience without necessarily banning them.
It plays a bit like a clicker, e g Farmville. You might plateau for extremely long periods of play-time, to the point where it will seem like you have completely soft-locked, only to see a huge spike in progress caused by server side random events that affect your genome.
Ducks are a rather high tier build. The quack ability causes instant infatuation with most targets. They are then compelled to share some loot with them. Humans often throw bread.
I love how in every video you talk like you are some sort of gamer god talking about about earth and its inhabitants with your other gamer gods friends
I still love those old Walking With... episodes, having CGI mixed with live action for me hasn't been beaten by any fully CGI series yet, no matter how fancy they get (or how much science marches on!)
My list (feel free to add to it): S tier: Yokai (or similar spiritual builds); they pretty much have all the tools of humans (including the broken intelligence stat) but with zero of the drawbacks plus the god tier ability of extreme longevity to straight out immortality probably SS tier tbh A tier: Mermaids (very similar to the human build but are limited to the ocean meta thus being the only weakness) and The Kraken (an all around monstrous build that will dominate the ocean meta however it's sheer size would definitely put it into conflict with humans with the massive loot drops it would need to sustain itself). B tier: Dragons (and their cousins wyverns, drakes, wyrms etc); most would assume S tier, due to some variants having intelligence that rivals humans however similar to the Kraken they would come into conflict with humans (needing massive XP to sustain a play-through) and Dragons would be an even bigger target since theoretically they habitat would be too close to human sentiments (unlike the Kraken that can escape to deeper water) not to mention Dragons are well known for being worth A LOT of XP too... C tier: Fairies (as well other forest builds: Nymths, Elves, Unicorns etc), despite having a favourable match up against Dragons and humans, with the massive amounts of deforestation and pollution these forest builds will have a very difficult time adapting to Earth's current meta however they positive match up against higher tiers is enough to get them this high. (Potentially; similar some tribal human sub-classes, Elves may have to move to the urban servers to survive). D tier: Werewolves (and other were-bulids) despite beating humans 1 v 1, they havevery exploitable and well known weaknesses not to mention their abilities are very situational due to being dependent on the phase of the moon (as well as other outside influences) meaning most of the time they'll be no different from a human build however due to the potentially hostile nature of the were build, it'll likely be imprisoned, ostracized from human society or even experimented on by other human mains (also the prices for certain loot like silver will go through the roof). F tier: Golden Goose (no different from a regular goose expect they laid golden eggs!). The sheer amount of loot potential would likely drive them to quit the game and/or if even cause guild wars the break out for them... and with no way to defend against the above classes, bottom tier it is just for being free XP and loot (you'll be better off maining the Swan class instead). So... what do you think?.
Giant sloths were almost as tall as mammoths. And it's pretty much implied that Sid isn't a child, so he won't grow much more than that. There are smaller sloths in the sequel, yeah, but that doesn't make Sid an actual giant sloth.
I'm pretty sure the bear builds moved to smaller sizes due to exp loss from being that OP, it's like going up against early game pidgeys with a maxxed out lugia, and with humans around taking up all the exp for themselves they left very few challenges for the Ice age bear build, I'm pretty sure they had someone on the inside with the Dev team letting them know the future plans for the game and adapted according to that rather than the game itself, perhaps making them about as OP as it gets
Yeah man I remember that shit.... There was this one dude on old ice age server PvP EU who was just camping by caves, I was playing dear class (big mistake) and he fucking one taped me every time!!! I couldn't even get to level 10... The guy was a dickhead reported him.
@@XDKvlogs yeah, being that big required a LOT of XP to farm. And since after Ice Age patch, builds started becoming smaller, and more effecient, there's no reason to remain that big because any XP you get wouldn't have been enough for you to level properly.

Still waiting for the Fungi tier list. So many good choices. Cordyceps, the split-gill, the honey mushroom. And science has only just _begun_ to grasp the intricacies of mycology. Someday we mushrooms will rise up and take over! Just a matter of evolution, baby.
Honey fungi (Armillaria spp) are OP. Deadly to trees and cabbages, able to overpower other fungi colonies, unlimited game time and no requirements to expend energy to find mates. They also have edible fruiting bodies, reducing the risk of humans to try and exterminate them. One colony is currently the largest living organism on the planet, visible by a massive bare area in colorado? (I think) where it has killed and eaten all the trees ( and cabbages!).
as a former cave bear main, i can tell you humans did actually kill us due to figuring out that we used the hybernation ability and attacking us in our night mode. that happened so much that i decided to switch to a human main. took me a few playthroughs to master intelligence builds but it was worth it!
@@charlottewalnut3118 We probably need more than that to nerf humans. Maybe a big int nerf or just add some more parasitic class to indirectly nerf them.

I'd say it not gonna end well, the mammoth build was changed to the elephant build so it would just be a hairy elephant but not the original
Right now it's all "ooh" and "ah" but later there's raging and uninstalling.
Dataminers trying to use arbitrary code execution to recover a dead build. Pretty shady.
You need to hack an elephant player into the mammoth class, but the devs ban the player almost automatically, so it's not worth it.

something like an Ant tier list would be cool, its one of the most played classes anyway.
@@drosophyllum8418 you went over camponotus(carpenter ants)? That's a sin
They are overplayed meta

Bacteria Tierlist sometime please?
I heard it's a fun server to try out especially for trolls and new players.
It would be interesting, mostly for the reason that most bacteria are specialized to one or few guilds as opponents
Bellick666 yeah it’s good when you first start because you get evo point boost
It plays a bit like a clicker, e g Farmville. You might plateau for extremely long periods of play-time, to the point where it will seem like you have completely soft-locked, only to see a huge spike in progress caused by server side random events that affect your genome.
With the release of the Drug Resistance spec they have become a viable threat against the human builds once again.

He actually has a video covering a few of those builds.
Sleksin yes I know, I saw it. But I feel like he could go more in depth.
He should make one on bacteria
My list (feel free to add to it):
S tier: Yokai (or similar spiritual builds); they pretty much have all the tools of humans (including the broken intelligence stat) but with zero of the drawbacks plus the god tier ability of extreme longevity to straight out immortality probably SS tier tbh
A tier: Mermaids (very similar to the human build but are limited to the ocean meta thus being the only weakness) and The Kraken (an all around monstrous build that will dominate the ocean meta however it's sheer size would definitely put it into conflict with humans with the massive loot drops it would need to sustain itself).

Cordyceps are very overpowered. They can control ant builds and use them to get more allies.
Honey fungi (Armillaria spp) are OP. Deadly to trees and cabbages, able to overpower other fungi colonies, unlimited game time and no requirements to expend energy to find mates.
