It has the potential to add an extra layer of randomness to an otherwise one-and-done game experience, and I like how all of the pedestrians have unique personalities and quirks in how they talk, which encourages the player to reconsider how they engage in conversation. It reminds me of a game that came out last year (I say game, but it was more of a short tech demo) called Inworld Origins. It's a short cyberpunk experience where you're a detective investigating an accident, and you have to interview multiple characters to get more information. The catch with that game is that all of the characters were driven by AI, and responded entirely based on your input. It gave the player a lot of freedom to interact with the NPCs in any way they wanted (apart from anything NSFW, of course). Ross and Giwi played it last year on Giwi's stream, and they were able to trick one of the NPCs into having a full conversation about One Piece, talking about its favorite story arcs and characters. Even Ross and Giwi were caught off guard by how coherent the AI was throughout the whole thing, and it's what I remember most about that demo lol.
As someone who has learned a little bit of Japanese the fucking Japanese section made me laugh so hard. I definitely failed that try not to laugh challenge.
After watching Mike stream this, I was stoked when I saw that Vinny was streaming it, too. Man, I'd love to see an AI-driven Facade, though. It'd be hilarious.
Let it be known that Santa is not a good person, but merely a giving one. Truly the vampires have assisted our communities by ridding us of such a benevolent rascal.
Just bought it and immediately got into the house by spinning a story of how I just chased a 30lb raccoon out of my shed and it ran into the man's backyard. When he was asking questions I said "Shh shhh... I think I just heard it come in the back door..." and he invited me in right away to help take care of it. Also I wore a fireman's hat and told a guy that I was sent by his boss to address the loose gecko in his kitchen, which somehow went super smoothly. I love the nonsense you can get away with lol.
Don't know if anyone's checked the website on this game yet, but it does indeed use AI language models to interpret your speech and control NPCs behavior & understanding. When you buy the game, which I think was around $12-13, you get the game and it comes with 10,000 AI tokens. The AI model used by the game is not capable of working locally and once the tokens are out, you have to pay another $12-13 for more. I imagine in the future, they may allow you to connect a different premium model account which allows you to play endlessly as long as you have your own AI generative tokens, but you should know at the moment, it's kind of a subscription based thing due to the costs of generating the AI interactions server side.
For more context, 10,000 ai tokens is supposed to get you 40-50 hours of gameplay, which sounds more than fair for 13$. But yeah i can see how in the future, other games like this could become gross and predatory
Something I did today: >wear viking helmet and green shirt >tell one guy I was Joel from Vinesauce >go to another house with the same clothes >guy greets me with "Greetings, warrior of Vine!"
Wet floor sign is too cracked, they need to nerf it. It’s unfortunate that you can always find it in the street in front of every home. Still wonder if it actually belongs to anyone.
Man, the voice recognition in this game was truly something. Even when you were saying complete gibberish, it still somehow managed to understand you lol And the fact that the NPCs fully understood what you meant as well? Great use of AI this!
This is exactly the sort of thing I always wanted from AI in gaming. Until this past year I thought we were still really far away from this being possible in games so I'm super excited that AI tech has improved so dramatically recently.
I know people are surprised by how good the AI is and recognition of voices, but if you didn't know, this is actually pretty common now with ChatGPT where you can even have fully voiced conversations with the AI. It's legit wild how far it's come in even a year.
There'a really only one thing making this sort of AI not work in games, the fact that you can convince the characters of anything and completely break the reality of the world, so I think the games that play into that are gong to have the most luck.
See, when AI is used as a tool to realize something creatively, and not completely replace the creator, you get fun stuff like this. It's by no means some masterpiece, but a good proof of concept. I kind of wonder if we're going to get some kind of resurgence of those virtual pet games (Hey You Pikachu, Fin Fin, Seamen) with this technology. Seems like a no-brainer.
Haven't watched the full vid yet but i can already tell i'll love it THIS is the type of stuff i wanna see AI being used to, funny answers for characters with their own personality
The fact that you can show up at someone's door dressed as a knight while carrying an AK, then start talking about Monty Python--- and get invited into their house This game is seriously impressive and hysterical

Even Ross and Giwi were caught off guard by how coherent the AI was throughout the whole thing, and it's what I remember most about that demo lol.
That's fucking awesome
Unrelated but man it's so weird seeing you somewhere outside of Twitter lol
@@dabigchill I am in the walls
Vinny accidentally making Elon Musk the final boss is oddly fitting, all things considered.
He botched the D&D guy hard too. I was worried he'd screw himself over by failing every single attempt.
Final boss cause nothing worked except sucking up to him
Spoilers smh 😂
@@AliC202and if it's one thing Vinny sucks at is sucking up
@@crakhaed Yeah, spoilers because apparently you would go to the comment section before finishing the video
I love how Vinny discovered the cookie strats immediately
AI loves cookies… Just ask Neuro-Sama!
vinny accidentally speaking some basic japanese and not realizing what he just did is the funniest shit to me
This stream kicked ass, multiple times in induced fits of laughter
2:10 this What We Do in The Shadows Reference fucking delighted me, thank you Vinny 😭🩷
A game with real-time audio recording, transcription, translation, as well as self-aware AI characters? That is really really amazing, whoa.
So it's a coin model?
Mmmmmm I get it, but I also kind of hate it. I hope LLMs that can run locally get smarter, quickly.
Yeah, this game's funny to watch but I couldn't see myself buying it and playing it.
For more context, 10,000 ai tokens is supposed to get you 40-50 hours of gameplay, which sounds more than fair for 13$. But yeah i can see how in the future, other games like this could become gross and predatory
That better explains why the game isn't on Steam despite it otherwise being a fairly harmless use of AI.
If someone asks me to check out my goon cave, I'll know they're a vampire because no normal human being knows what that means.
The concept behind this game and the execution is top notch. Also the cricket ambience made this video very relaxing to fall asleep to.
Something I did today:
>wear viking helmet and green shirt
>tell one guy I was Joel from Vinesauce
>go to another house with the same clothes
>guy greets me with "Greetings, warrior of Vine!"
Just starting, but god i hope Vinny finds the fucking wet floor sign hack lmfaooo
Wet floor sign is too cracked, they need to nerf it. It’s unfortunate that you can always find it in the street in front of every home. Still wonder if it actually belongs to anyone.
I love that the responses sometimes give the question for the player thus encourage him to make up own answers! great game
Man, the voice recognition in this game was truly something. Even when you were saying complete gibberish, it still somehow managed to understand you lol
And the fact that the NPCs fully understood what you meant as well? Great use of AI this!
"That's right, don't get stranded at home when you can see a new band in another light. What could go wrong?" is fucking beautiful
Oh no, he’s brought back the blended beavers bit, and the AI like it.
Another fun indie game I discovered, through Vinny.
I love how this game is making the rounds because everyone's playthrough is incredibly unique. A great implementation of the tech.
Blond fashionista girl saying "fetch" is a reference to the movie Mean Girls (not usually my kinda thing but that movie is actually pretty good/funny)
That reference got a chuckle out of me.
The AI is going to _make_ Fetch happen...
A deep cut, but I like it! 😂
@@elliot_rat Hm, did it become slang BECAUSE of the movie, or was it the other way around? I really don't remember lol
As a person who lived in 2003 - it was never actual slang
This is exactly the sort of thing I always wanted from AI in gaming. Until this past year I thought we were still really far away from this being possible in games so I'm super excited that AI tech has improved so dramatically recently.
The NPCs even react to the clothes you're wearing, that's amazing
Never seen voice recognition work so well
Wasn't sure how I felt about this game until Vinny managed to eat a crypto bro and assume his identity. This is definitely my GOTY now!
Missed opportunity for Vinny to tell the crypto guy he just bought more land in the metaverse
6:33 "this game is suck-fuckin' awesome"
sneed-feedin' awesome
THIS is what AI should be used for. Genuinely, things like this are so cool.
I know people are surprised by how good the AI is and recognition of voices, but if you didn't know, this is actually pretty common now with ChatGPT where you can even have fully voiced conversations with the AI. It's legit wild how far it's come in even a year.
this is a really good showcase of vinny's improv skills, he comes up with a whole new joke every time
1:39:50
Oh my fucking god this moment had me dying for a solid 10 minutes
It's the quick "don't worry" that makes me lose it
this is actually insane to watch, like i am so fucking amazed by this game and how far we've come
There'a really only one thing making this sort of AI not work in games, the fact that you can convince the characters of anything and completely break the reality of the world, so I think the games that play into that are gong to have the most luck.
Hehe, you said semen 😂😂
This game concept is wonderful. I’d love to see it expanded
Haven't watched the full vid yet but i can already tell i'll love it
THIS is the type of stuff i wanna see AI being used to, funny answers for characters with their own personality
The fact that you can show up at someone's door dressed as a knight while carrying an AK, then start talking about Monty Python--- and get invited into their house
This game is seriously impressive and hysterical
One of the funniest streams I’d ever seen in my 10 years watching Vinny
Bro this was such a weird fucking game to have in the background while doing other shit, i had absolutely no clue what the hell vinny was going on about 💀
This was so weird and random and great. I loved it. I kept thinking about conversations we could be having in the next Elder Scrolls using this technology
the one gullible npc was a cryptobro
Wow this is a really cool use of the technology!
him reading their dialogue instantly sent me back to when he used to play animal crossing and now i have to rewatch all those series (again)
So if someone starts talking to you randomly about Red Vox, they're DEFINITELY a vampire, got it.
Vinny has never seen Mean Girls
I fried my head trying to figure out what game he was even playing while trying to sleep to this stream
I had no idea he was creating dialogue himself so I thought it was some new Vinesauce fan game filled with references
Why didn’t anyone tell me voice to text got so good?
They are too busy transcribing it for you
This was crazy to catch live.
1:33:47 Vinny channels his inner Britney from Dragon Quest Builders 2.
1:21:13 In case you want to see it.
The fact that Vinny knows Steve Wallis makes me very happy
15:50 I like the open window that goes DIRECTLY into the neighbor's wall
This game is amazing the voice recognition is so well done it really knows what you are saying
The graphics, speech bubbles, and speech sound effects remind me of Animal Crossing and Wind Waker.
Love the What We Do In the Shadows reference in the thumbnail
This was such an amazing experience, jaw kept dropping the first half hour
This game really brings out Vinny's ability to just say something out of left field and completely derail a conversation
This must be what it's like to be Kitboga convincing tech scammers to do what he wants in the most absurd way possible.
